Premium time are not ranker here they are news media, they inform on rank done by other notable ranker,i recently provided u a link ranking ui above un,u also provided another ranking placing un above ui,ignoring the africa best with different rendering, going to world best world university ranker ranks university of oxford as 1st,university of cape town 128th,university of ibadan 601st,and university of nairobi does not rank amoung the 1st 800,utilize ur senses please
Dude - you're the one who provided the link. So you provided me with the wrong link?
So you provided the premium times link knowing very well it's not a ranker but only discovered that when you realized that it places UoN ahead of UoI?

You're funny - you provide one ranking where UoI is ahead of UoN, I provided three where UoN is ahead of UoI yet for some reason you think I'm not utilizing my senses? lol....and now you provide me with a link claiming UI is ahead of UoN and now I've blown up your bubble by telling you that from YOUR OWN LINK UoN is actually ahead of UoI you're bringing in some other funny stories? It's really frustrating arguing with some of you Nigerian guys.

.....and please which is this best world university ranker and what criteria are you using to claim it's the best? If the link you provided me had place UoI ahead of UoN you'd also have claimed it's the world's best university ranker. Stop being a hypocrite.

Bottow line 1 nigerian university rank among 800 universities in the world no kenyan university rank, is that so hard to absorb http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/190922-only-one-nigerian-university-ranked-among-worlds-top-800-universities.html
From your source, University of Nairobi (No. 4 in Africa) ranks ahead of University of Ibadan. You'll realize most rankings place UoN ahead of UoI

Your link is a pseudo, the link I provided is based mainly on universities issue around the world when icu speaks it's as unbiased as snow and no universities ranked among 800 universities in Kenya in the world when Nigeria ranked who is deceiving who
ICU is just a ranker like any other. You merely choose to 'believe in it more' because it ranked some Nigerian universities more favorably. Still though, Kenya beats Nigeria even if we consider ICU - 7 universities for 45 million people - that's 6.4 million people per university in the top ten. Mean Nigeria has 15 universities in the top 100 - 12 million people per university in the top 100.

Let me give you another source that's globally renown and respected than icu by far - Times Higher Education places one Kenyan university in Africa's top ten and NO Nigerian university in the top ten. Enjoy.....

This Nairobiweakling dude is simply straw clutching. Yes I said Muthaiga has apartments, a term I used to vaguely refer to residences. Now he's gonna knock his head on a stone because of that all day. They can bring up the least costly in their most expensive places, yet can't bring up the highest in same place, or at least something to at least match what I posted. Who doesn't know that it will cost more to build an edifice of equal facilities in a city like New York compared to Lagos simply as a result of being a more expensive and more developed terrain. Dude is perpetually moronic
It is one thing when you use a term "vaguely to make a point" but another thing when you claim you have sooo much knowledge in a given field that you brush down everything everyone else has to say yet make very ridiculous assertions in the same topic. For instance - when someone who claims to know Nigeria so well that he's not even willing to learn or listen to what other Nigerians say claims that Murtala Mohammed Airport is in Abuja what would you say of him? He's stupid and ignorant.

Kenyans and pseudo claims why will Nigerian go to Kenya to study except if such person can't meet up with the requirements here and Kenya universities can never match those in Nigeria,of the 100 top universities in Africa only six Kenya university ranked when we have nineteen from Nigeria

Check it out
www.4icu.org/top-universities-africa-html
From your link I see 7 kenyan universities (for a population of 45M) and 15 Nigerian universities(for a population of 180M). A serious statistician will tell you in such a case Kenya is way ahead......and this is even considering you chose a ranking where Nigeria performs it's best and Kenya it's worst. Check out this other ranking for instance that has 7 Kenyan universities in the top 100 vis a vis only 6 Nigerian universities.

Do the right thing.Ignore that man.pls, let him revel in his blind ignorance and infantile attitude. They know little of nigeria
Lol......you guys have no points yet you want everyone to believe Nigeria is the greatest country. When someone corners you you call them infantile and ignorant yet you're the most ignorant and infantile people here. Your friend claimed to know Muthaiga so much that he understands the prices of houses in Muthaiga yet went ahead and talked of apartments in Muthaiga. I told him there are no apartments in Muthaiga and the cheapest house in Muthaiga to rent is $2000 per month and he says I can choose to believe Nigeria is way ahead of Kenya or remain stupid and ignorant. Now tell me who is ignorant between two of us? Calling someone who's clearly smarter than you ignorant doesn't erase your ignorance. See, Pavore, a Nigerian who lives in Nairobi has even told him exactly what I've been telling him but he's adamant that I agree Nigeria is better or remain stupid and ignorant. That's the most childish person one can engage - you guys can continue believing your delusions.

There are exclusively rich Nigerians that will easily pay 3 billion naira monthly for rent. Anybody's ignorance won't negate this. You could argue that there is a big disparity between the rich and poor in the country. That's a good argument. But to say their aren't people who can afford that worth of property in a country like Nigeria is just crude
Many people can pay 3 billion Naira for rent but nobody would pay 3 billion Naira rent for a house that's worth 80,000 Naira. Stop being dumb.

But all the way without those...nothing else...I'm a naija...always will be a naija....no need to fight bro

Perhaps if you were not hypocritical you would have noticed I insulted him because he insulted me. You can't be hypocritical and claim to be wise.

Duh, people live in Muthaiga and that's the rental cost I quoted, just about $3000. No rental space costs $10000
monthly in Kenya, haven't heard of, or except you prove me wrong with a link at least. I could take a bow.

And the answer to your real surprise is bad governance. That has been overemphasized on this thread. So I understand if you can't wrap your head round the fact that after all these, Kenya is still too small a country to compare to Nigeria.
You're an idiot. So you've heard of everything that happens in Kenya? Somebody who thinks there are apartments in Muthaiga wants to claim they know much about Kenya? lol......you're ignorant about your own country, what can you say about Kenya? And what has size got to do with it? We are talking about quality my Friend not size and your Nigerian friend Pavore who lives in Nairobi has already told you Nairobi has better quality real estate than Lagos.

First of, how did you get the perfect equivalent of Magodo in Nairobi to arrive at this? It will be hard to judge an equivalent knowing that values of an apartment with exact same facilities vary from location to location. That brings me to why you should compare the extremes in both situations, that is, the best of Nairobi and the best of Lagos. And please, you can get an apartment of $3000 in Muthaiga, not 5k as the least cost that you quoted. Like I said earlier, apartments in Eko Atlantic cost 10000 monthly. They were fully bought before it's completion. That makes a big business statement. These things are not rocket science.
There are no apartments in Muthaiga, lol. See how you keep talking about things you don't understand for the sake of it.

We no even dare go to neighbourhoods like Karen, Runda, Muthaiga etc where rents are $5000 and above. Ask any other Nigerian living in Nairobi going by the present exchange rate which between Lagos and Nairobi where the rent in a good neighborhood is lesser.

If you are paying N800,000 annually for a 3 bedroom flat at Magodo Estate that is equal to 170,000 Kenyan shillings going by today's exchange rate between the Naira and Shillings. That 170,000 Kenyan shillings will cover only 4 months rent of similar neighborhood in Nairobi!

Born and raised in Lagos, work and live in Nairobi....Forget the pictures being posted l know the realities of both cities! grin grin
Thank you my friend.

Well, I think I understand the surprise of these Kenyans, and maybe other Africans. "How come Nigeria without 24hrs power supply is still the continents largest economy? What will then happen when they eventually get it right with power?" These and many other questions, they ask. I'd be totally shocked too if I were in their shoes.
Nope - our real surprise is "How come the country with the largest oil deposits on the continent, one of the largest land suitable for Agriculture, one of the largest hyro-power potential and by far the largest human resource can't provide very basic needs for its citizens.

The rent in an upscale neighborhood of Nairobi is higher than the ones in an upscale neighbourhood of Lagos. Shebi l follow go house hunting with a Ghanian couple who just moved over. A 4 bedroom masionette is renting $2,140 monthly plus a $200 monthly service charge and sharing compound with 7 other units!

Away from upscale neighbourhoods, a middle class neighborhood one can get a bedsitter (a room and an ensuite kitchen and toilet/shower) for between $90-$100 monthly whereas that can get me a spacious 2 bedroom flat in Anthony Village, Lagos!

Kenya is far away from Nigeria.
That doesn't change the fact that Nigeria's electric supply is shitty. FYI all companies have an alternative electricity supply - it's only that while in most countries the alternative is rarely used, in Nigeria it is used 80℅ of the time.

most people believe the exact opposite of the truth
they won't thank you when told the truth.
That's why I find this thread so fascinating! We all believed Naij GDP per capita was wayyy above ours. I've followed this thread from the start and these guys are only slightly above us on the whole using the real exchange rate.
I think they know it deep down which explains the pathological delusion. I swear they sound like Somalis! You can practically see them frothing, waving their baby fists and flexing their chicken muscles.
Anyway I've tried many things since leaving journalism in 02 and am now in aquaculture. I still remain a truth seeker at heart ; a searcher after the actual - which explains my presence here.
