Well traditionally, a man is supposed to be a provider. If a man cannot provide, then everything just becomes pointless imo. In my culture we say there's no such thing as an ugly man etc. A man is as handsome/useful as the size of his kraal or in modern terms...his wallet I know it sounds materialistic, but it is what it is. Don't think many women would feel comfortable taking care of a man, financially. It immasculates him, to be frank.

But what is provision traditionally? Simply providing a roof over your head and food - any man can do that. You don't need a successful man to provide. The ordinary man on the street can provide a shelter and food. I think modern women are just using tradition to hide their greed and materialism. I always tell young women, now that you want that rich man and think a man is pointless without lots of money, ask yourself, what are you offering so that he should date the broke you when he is rich himself?
