1. What matters is Kenya closing the gap. Of course there are reasons - Whatever the reasons are, Kenya closed the gap contrary to your initial assertions. There is currently no data for a widening gap.

2. Please, speak about the facts at hand. Stop going strawman. Go through Kenya and Tanzania's GDP and economic growth from 2004 - 2019 and compare with the GDP figures and do your math. You seem to be just arguing for the sake of it.

3. And I'm telling you I have already accounted for that and it doesn't add up. Tanzania's low base wasn't as low as you claim - remember at some point Tanzania even had a higher GDP than Kenya and has been said to be growing faster than Kenya since the late 80s. The link I posted proves they weren't doing their calculations right.

First, stop being confused, when you quote a post, make sure you respond to the post and not make up some other stupid argument.

Second, Lagos is urban, you can't compare it with the whole of Kenya and masturbate over it. Urban areas generate more GDP than rural areas. Nairobi alone has a GDP of over $40 billion with only 4 million people. Nairobi Metro has a GDP of about $55 billion with only 6 million people. How does it compare with Lagos?

1. The Gap between Nigeria and Kenya has been reducing in the past 5 years. You're wrong on that.

2. The Gap between Tanzania and Kenya wasn't that big in 2004 - less than $2 billion. A high growth on Tanzania's side could easily see them beat Kenya within less than 5 years. They've grown faster than Kenya since then and the gap has increased from less than $2 billion to almost $40 billion currently.

3. The IMF has noticed a weakness in their compilation method. You're not going to push the IMF observations aside just because you want to please some Tanzanian sycophant here.

Seems the culprit is always suffering from psychological projections.
