Right from time, the US stated they will never send troops to Ukraine, I watched several interviews of Biden saying the US will have boots in Ukraine. It was why they relocate the embassy before the invasion because sending troops to evaluate diplomats will result to them engaging Russia directly.

I don't think Russia should have to fight a war to make their brothers (Ukraine) say that. They can do that without the invasion.


As for the punishment claim:
Its not punishment. Russia has been stealing land from Ukraine ever since they broke up. the last one was the annexation of Cremia.

I think Russia is trying to cripple Ukraine so that no fraction would ever break out of Russia again. it's a lesson for its own citizens.
