CoolCola: Russia Launches Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite Alternatives After Soda Exodus


A Russian beverage maker has unveiled a new range of soft drinks to replace the iconic brands that have left the Russian market in the wake of its invasion of Ukraine.

In lieu of Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite, Russians will be able to choose from CoolCola, Fancy and Street, Russian drink producer Ochakovo announced Monday.


The three global soda brands have been largely absent from Russian shelves since the Coca-Cola Company suspended business in Russia in March. While Coca-Cola products can still be found in shops, prices have skyrocketed by roughly 200% since the suspension.

CoolCola has the “iconic taste of cola,” Ochakovo wrote online. Meanwhile, the brand’s bottles of orange-flavored Fancy and lemon-lime Street mimic the color schemes of Fanta and Sprite.

Established in the Soviet Union in 1978, Ochakovo largely produces traditional Russian beverages such as fermented grain-based kvass and low-alcohol honey drink medovukha.

The firm isn’t the only company to try and capitalize on Coca-Cola’s step back from the Russian market.

In April, a beverages company based in Russia’s Far East, the Slavda Group, launched Grink Cola to try and capture the hearts of Russia’s soda lovers. Meanwhile in May, in the northern Russian region of Komi, the Syktyvkarpivo factory launched its own brand of soda, Komi Cola.

However, both alternatives received a mixed response, with customers complaining that neither drink was “sweet and sparkling.”

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said 87 people died in a Russian airstrike in the town of Desna last Tuesday, making it the biggest military death toll in a single strike since the war began on 24 February.

On the day it happened, a Russian military spokesman said high-precision, long-range missiles had hit Ukrainian reserves at a training centre near Desna, and at one other site.

The town is northeast of Kyiv, in the region of Chernihiv, and there are barracks and a training base nearby.

The Ukrainian president did not say whether the casualties were military or civilian.

"Today we completed work at Desna," Mr Zelenskyy said. "In Desna under the rubble there were 87 casualties, 87 corpses."

That number has not been independently verified.
In April, at least 52 people were killed at a railway station in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk.

The right hand is a term used metaphorically in Scripture to speak of God’s strength and power: “Your right hand, LORD, was majestic in power. For this reason, on the Day of Pentecost, the apostle Peter cited David’s words (Psalm 16:8–11) and interpreted them as a prophecy of Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead (Acts 2:25–31). Paul also quoted Psalm 16:10 at Antioch (Acts 13:35–37) as a reference to the Lord’s resurrection.

David’s confidence in God touched every aspect of his life, extending beyond mortality. He did not fear the end (Psalm 23:4) because he trusted that not even death could interrupt the joy and pleasure of intimate fellowship with His Lord.

The pleasures of this world are fleeting (Hebrews 11:25), but the complete joy of close fellowship in God’s presence endures forever: “Those who have been ransomed by the LORD will return. They will enter the new Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness” (Isaiah 51:11, NLT; see also Isaiah 35:10; Zephaniah 3:17; Revelation 7:15–17).

There are no words to use to describe one who thinks he can abuse and insult a person using the name of God and Bible to justify his sinful desires

The kingdom of God does not permit using sin to reward sin if at all you wrongly think that I have sinned and am amazed that no one has corrected you on this path of thinking that you keep justifying wow

If non of your friends can correct or rebuke you on your sinful way of thinking then I pity you you really need the holy spirit to speak to you since you have refused to read and follow his written word

My job is to pray for you so you can see and follow the commandment of Jesus
We actually don't wrestle against flesh and blood we don't fight men made in the image of God we leave room for God to fight for us our job is to forgive for vengeance is mine says the lord God of host
