MyExpression: It's not every point you ascribed to sensible people.
After the 3rd point, you removed SENSIBLE, and started generalising with EVERYBODY...and "they- they", who are the "they"?
You ended up claiming there's an agenda to continue sitting at home. Meanwhile, point 17 is not the true stance of the people. Nobody is accusing Gov Soludo...they're only asking him to provide adequate security.
"Nobody is accusing Governor Soludo" as said by Mr Everybody.
1) Every sensible person knows that Nnamdi Kanu began the practice of declaring sit at home protests. He usually threatened to declare sit-at-home protests on elections days (though he often made U-turns when politicians approached him). There were also sit-at-home protests to mark specific dates that were significant during the Civil War.
2) Every sensible person also knows that Kanu and his faction of Ipob abandoned the sit-at-home protests after he was detained. They were seeking a political solution to his detention and staging sit-at-home protests would make things difficult for him.
3) Every sensible person knows that Simon Ekpa and his autopiloters hijacked the protest. Armed autopiloters usually staged violent raids on Sundays in order to frighten people and prevent them from coming out on Mondays. I created a lot of threads about these raids and Ekpa often boasted about it.
4) Everybody knows that Ekpa held unending fund raising campaigns in order to raise money to finance the attacks.
5) Everybody also knows that the violence drastically reduced after Ekpa was arrested.
6) The violence reduced for 3 main reasons (A) Ekpa was in jail and so could no longer finance the terrorists. (B) The new leadership of the Autopiloters decided to focus on hiring lobyists to help them get American politicians on their side. It would look bad if they were meeting with American politicians and also financing terrorists.
7) The people on those threads cannot say anything meaningful and their little attempt to make sense is turned into nonsense by the next thing that I will write.
8 ) Nigerians governments, both at the federal and state levels, have done a lot to end the violence in the East. Governor Soludo did not just wake up and close Onitsha Main Market as his first step in solving the problem. Quite a lot of things have been done to solve the issue.
9) The Nigerian Federal Government put a lot of pressure on Finland to solve the problem of Simon Ekpa and he was eventually tried and jailed. Troops were also deployed to deal with the terrorists in the forests.
10) Governor Soludo met with Nnamdi Kanu in the DSS cell in Abuja in order to get him to end the protest. Kanu told the governor that he had nothing to do with the protest. Days afterwards, when his lawyers visited him, Nnamdi Kanu gave them instructions that they should make a press statement that he had disowned the sit-at-home protest and that he was against vilolence.
11) Governor Soludo also met with traders, unions, the clergy, politicians, etc in order to end the violence and sit-at-home protest. They even held a Holy Mass to signify the end of the sit-at-home protest.
12) Governor Soludo has donated a lot of equipment to the police, military and other security agencies in order to help them tackle the problem. The last round of donations was just a few days ago.
13) In fact, the Anambra State Government went as far as creating its own security outfit called Udo Ga-achi
14) These measures have worked. Previously I made threads about Autopilot attacks almost every week. Nowadays we rarely hear about attacks. People now use Mondays to hold weddings and other parties. As the governor said, he passed other markets on his way to Onitsha and they were open.
15) The fact is that there are Ipob and Autopilot sympathisers that do not want the sit-at-home protest to end. I have told you about all the measures that government has taken to end the violence and protest, these people have launched massive propaganda against all of them.
16) They said that Autopilot attacks were being done by Fulani herdsmen and all sorts of people, they said that Simon Ekpa was sponsored by Bola Tinubu, they said that Nigerian Army was massacring innocent people, they said that Simon Ekpa had not been arrested, they claimed that Udo Ga-achi was killing innocent people, there is nothing that they did not say.
17) Now the story is that Soludo has not done anything to provide security, that he is wicked, that he didn't consult anyone, etc. The simple truth is that they do not want the sit-at-home to end.
It gives them something to complain about.
As I said, many of them are Ipob and Autopilot supporters and they'll never want it to end.
Meanwhile the government constructed that market so that economic activities will take place. It generates revenue from the economic activities that take place there. It is a market, anyone that does not want to use it to trade and raise revenue for the government should be removed and replaced with someone that's ready to trade.
ANAMBRA POLICE OUTLINE STAGES OF SECURITY CONCERNS LEADING TO STATE GOVERNMENT CORRECTIVE MEASURES; SAYS POLICE ARE NOT THE ENEMY BUT THOSE WHO SEEK TO INFLICT SUFFERING ON THE PEOPLE
The Anambra State Police Command wishes to explain the security concerns stages that led to the corrective measures recently taken by the Anambra State Government to enhance safety and security in the State, particularly the efforts aimed at discouraging the illegal Sit-at-Home and closure of markets on Mondays.
The Command notes that the first stage of addressing the security challenges occurred when criminal elements launched attacks on security operatives and destroyed government facilities in an attempt to instil fear in the residents of Anambra State. Despite these attacks and the prevailing conspiracy of silence, in which residents initially feared volunteering information, the security forces remained resolute and demonstrated courage and professionalism.
A positive shift in public attitude marked the second stage, as residents gradually became bolder and began to assist the Police and other security agencies by providing useful information to aid operations.
In the third stage, residents went beyond volunteering information and showed a stronger commitment by actively supporting the Police in identifying and apprehending criminal elements within their communities through the launch of Operation Udo ga achi.
Currently, the Anambra State Government, in collaboration with Ndi Anambra, has resolved to correct harmful practices arising from security concerns, including the illegal Sit-at-Home order and closure of markets on Mondays.
The Anambra State Police Command, on behalf of all security agencies in the State, assures the public of its continued commitment to protecting lives and property and maintaining peace and security across the State.
After visits by Governor Soludo and others to Nnamdi Kanu, Mr Kanu told Aloy Ejimakor to issue a press statement on his behalf to disown the sit-at-home order. Mr Kanu condemned the violence in the east at that time. Mr Kanu also disowned the sit-at-home order during one of his court appearances.
Mr Ejimakor says he is not against Governor Soludo's attempts to end the sit-at-home, but he says that the governor should use dialogue rather than force. He says that he tried to end the sit-at-home by force when Kanu gave him instructions to do so, but it didn't work.
He quotes the Anambra Commissioner of Police who says that they cannot force people to come out, because people have a constitutional right to stay at home, but they will provide security so that those that want to go out can go out.
This truism from Anambra Police Commissioner should pretty much settle the matter of the #OnitshaMarketClosure. Here, the CP made it clear that the State lacks the vires to “force private citizens not to sit at home”. I might add that it’s not even practical. Simple! pic.twitter.com/eHik2HpSKk
FYI: I’m NOT apposed to Governor Soludo’s well-intentioned efforts to end the Monday #SitAtHome. I tried to do the same thing (by fiat) in July 2023 on the directives of MAZI NNAMDI KANU but it persisted. That’s why I now recommend dialogue as the more decisive approach.
naptu2: And that reminds me, I haven't given you an update.
1) Ralph Uwazurike created the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in 1999.
In 2009 Uwazurike funded the creation of Radio Biafra.
2) Uwazurike had a dispute with Nnamdi Kanu (who ran Radio Biafra) and stopped funding it. Lack of funding caused the radio station to shut down. The station was restarted in 2012 and Nnamdi Kanu became the director of the station.
Nnamdi Kanu also created the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in 2012.
A civil war broke out between supporters of Ralph Uwazurike and supporters of Nnamdi Kanu.
3) Nnamdi Kanu had given instructions that Simon Ekpa should be made the lead broadcaster on Radio Biafra after he was arrested in 2021.
However, the DOS structure that Kanu created sacked Simon Ekpa because he refused to follow instructions. In response Ekpa said that he had sacked the DOS from the Biafra liberation movement.
Simon Ekpa created his own group which was originally known as the Autopiloters. It later transformed into the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) and Ekpa declared that he was the prime minister of Biafra.
A civil war broke out between supporters of Nnamdi Kanu and supporters of Simon Ekpa.
4) Simon Ekpa was arrested and Ngozi Orabueze, who was the chief of staff and deputy prime minister of BRGIE, declared herself prime minister. Supporters of Simon Ekpa opposed her and Ekpa's lawyer filed a lawsuit against her in the United States. They accused Orabueze of launching a hostile takeover of BRGIE.
A civil war broke out between supporters of Simon Ekpa and supporters of Ngozi Orabueze.
5) Two days ago a group of Biafra supporters announced that they had removed Simon Ekpa and elected Ogechukwu Nkere as their new prime minister. It was the Ogechukwu Nkere group that hired lobyists in the United States to convince the Trump administration that there is a Christian genocide in Nigeria (I posted photos of Nkere meeting with US senators a few days ago).
However, the Ngozi Orabueze faction released a statement that Ogechukwu Nkere had been expelled from BRGIE and that he was not prime minister of Biafra.
There is a civil war between supporters of Ngozi Orabueze and supporters of Ogechukwu Nkere.
At the heart of all of this is a competition for power and for control of donations made by Biafra supporters around the world.
The Nigerian Govt has infiltrated Emma Powerful, using Kanunta Kanu, Emmanuel Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, Maxwell Opara & Nnaemeka Ejiofor, these individuals took MNK back to court & jailed him after appeal court discharged & acquitted him, now they're working hard to make sure he didn't come out again to see all the evil they committed against him.
Who is Emma Powerful, and How Does He Speak for IPOB?
Most people think that Emma Powerful is a person, but I will shock you: it is not so. Emma Powerful is not a human being or even a nickname for a single individual. Rather, Emma Powerful is the name of the office of IPOB’s Media and Publicity Department.
According to credible information about how Emma Powerful operates, the leadership of IPOB—specifically the Directorate of State (DOS)—appoints individuals at random to serve or write press releases in the office called Emma Powerful.
Hence, the author automatically assumes the title of "Emma Powerful" as the Publicity Secretary.
This information first came out in the open around 2022/2023 when Simon Ekpa and his minions, in collaboration with the Nigerian media, consistently pushed out fake stories about how the Nigerian government had captured or arrested Emma Powerful. In their minds, Emma Powerful was a single person, and by putting out lies that Emma Powerful had been arrested, Emma Powerful might decide to do a face reveal so they would know who this Emma Powerful was.
Are you following?
But one of the media personalities within the ranks of IPOB came out and said that Emma Powerful is actually not a person but the name of the office of IPOB’s Media and Publicity. He went on to reveal that Emma Powerful’s role is only commanded and controlled by the DOS.
And guess what? The fifth columnists snapped their fingers and began to restrategize on their plot to destroy the credibility of IPOB’s most popular media arm—Emma Powerful. Just like in Indian movies, we saw how the belligerent Emmanuel Kanu and Kingsley Ezebuilo, the siblings of Onyendu, all of a sudden began to share the publications of Emma Powerful.
I suspected that this may not have been born out of genuine reconciliation, given that they had hated and fought against the leadership of IPOB simply because it refused them the opportunity to do as they liked, without discipline or oversight. They wanted to collect money as they pleased from IPOB and through other channels relating to the Biafran agitation, which could eventually compromise the “whiter-than-white” integrity of the global IPOB.
And then one day, we saw a very unfamiliar story or press release carrying the name of Emma Powerful. Every hardcore IPOB member or dedicated sympathizer who had followed every single activity of IPOB and understood the dynamics of their information dissemination and language of communication immediately knew that this wasn’t the typical language of Emma Powerful. It wasn’t the typical unmistakable blueprint, and no hardcore member would easily believe it was Emma Powerful’s language.
And so we made inquiries and discovered that it was actually fake. Who shared the press information first? It was Kanunta Kanu, Emma Powerful, and Benjamin Mmadubugwu. We then discovered that, in contrast with the usual tradition, none of the members of the DOS shared the press release. Everyone was thrown into a state of confusion and disappointment. But the leadership was quiet.
The whispers within their ranks were that if they immediately countered this press release, their enemies would then know that their most credible media arm had been compromised. And so they didn’t make any public statements; they let it slide. They were trying to contain every situation and see if things could be brought back under control.
But what is the truth or secret behind all of this? The truth is that Emma Powerful has no unique signature except the use of “Emma Powerful, Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB.” Hence, anybody can easily copy that format and impersonate Emma Powerful. Are you getting it now?
On many occasions, Emmanuel Kanu would always pose as the “Spokesperson” of the Kanu family.
I don’t even know who gave him such a title, but that’s his business and that of his family members. But to be frank, it amused me each time I saw such a title in his press statements for the family.
And so, one day again, they broke the camel’s back. Emmanuel Kanu wrote another press release with the name of Emma Powerful and described it as “IPOB Spokesperson, Media and Publicity Secretary” instead of “IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary.” Did you spot the difference? He changed the title of Emma Powerful and added his usual self-aggrandizing title “Spokesperson.” Whereas Emma Powerful is not known as the “Spokesperson” of IPOB—when in fact, no single person is Emma Powerful.
What does this mean? It means that Emmanuel Kanu has hijacked Emma Powerful and bestowed upon himself the responsibility of Emma Powerful. Mind you, this Emmanuel Kanu is not a member of IPOB, let alone a principal officer in IPOB. He is only leveraging—of course dubiously—the fact that he is the younger brother of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu never even appointed them to any office or position in IPOB; they are only there as “siblings” to assist their brother’s struggle since 2015, when he was first arrested by the Nigerian government. But along the line, especially during his second kidnap, these brothers of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu compromised. Unknowingly or knowingly to MNK, these guys have been misusing the opportunity of being close to the Supreme Leader of IPOB.
They talked to anybody, including the second-in-command in IPOB, Mazi Chika Edoziem, the Head of Directorate, as they liked. They had no respect for the code of conduct or command chain of IPOB. They just became overly entitled to IPOB’s affairs.
Around 2019/2020, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Supreme Leader of IPOB, clearly stated on different occasions that IPOB doesn’t belong to him or his family. He said, “IPOB belongs to every one of us.” In another statement, he said that regardless of how close you may be to him, you must respect and obey the directives of the DOS headed by Mazi Chika Edoziem; otherwise, you will be removed and sanctioned appropriately by the DOS.
These guys violated several of IPOB’s codes of conduct and referred to the DOS as “sacked,” even claiming that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu no longer works with or recognizes them. Which means, in their minds, that IPOB no longer has a structure and that they are now the structure—a blatant, daylight imaginary usurpation of power from the constituted authorities of IPOB.
But in the latest information that was read out by an independent source, Lolo Nneka Chimezie, and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu explicitly and unequivocally restated that the Directorate of State runs the day-to-day activities of IPOB. He said that they are the decision-making body of IPOB.
The truth remains that as long as these so-called siblings continue to have access to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, they will continue with their dubious and dangerously corrupt activities—not because Mazi Nnamdi Kanu empowered or sent them to do so, but because Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is locked up in a room somewhere in a prison and has no credible means of seeing what is happening outside.
They continue to manipulate information with all hopes that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not coming out anytime soon. But are they God? Only God will decide. And Okike has assured this hallowed movement that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will one day, soonest, regain his freedom.
But I believe it is time for IPOB to come forward and lay everything bare. If possible, according to the rules and instituted code of conduct of IPOB, scrap the office of Emma Powerful and reinstate a new, credible, and uniquely competent Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, whose signature can never be copied or compromised in any way, shape, or form.
Chinasa Nworu is the commander of the Eastern Security Network.
Chinasa Nworu @ChinasaNworu
Biafrans please ignore the announcement that IPOB Worldwide called for Monday sit-at-home starry from 2nd Feb, 2026. Please disseminate widely to those who were previously misinformed about the total lockdown.
Nnamdi Kanu created the Directorate of State (DOS) to run IPOB if he was detained. The DOS took over the running of the organisation after Kanu was jailed in 2021. Mazi Chika Edoziem is the director of the Directorate of State.
Kanu also made other orders at the time. He told the DOS to appoint Simon Ekpa as the lead broadcaster on Radio Biafra. However, the DOS sacked Ekpa because he was not following instructions.
Kanu created the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and its commander is Chinasa Nworu.
The Kanu Family has battled both the DOS and Simon Ekpa since Kanu's detention because it wants to play a more central role in IPOB. However, Nnamdi Kanu and the DOS have said that IPOB is separate from the family.
Kanu's brothers, especially Kanunta and Emmanuel Kanu want the February 2nd, 2026 sit-at-home protest to go ahead, but the DOS is obeying Nnamdi Kanu's earlier order that the sit-at-home protest has been cancelled.
IPOB DOS and Nnamdi Kanu's lawyers have said that the protest has been cancelled, while Kanu's brothers say that the protest must go on. Kanu's brothers are supported by BRGIE, the organisation set up by Simon Ekpa.
Kanunta Kanu @MaziKanuntaKanu
IPOB is led by Onyendu as long as he lives. He appointed members of the Directorate of State (DOS) while in DSS custody, acting through his now sacked lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, who has absolutely nothing to do with Onyendu nor IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. A sacked lawyer and non-member of IPOB cannot speak for the movement.
Let it also be clearly understood that those claiming to be from DOS that held a secret meeting with representatives of Governor Soludo on Thursday, claiming to speak in the name of our leader and allegedly assuring him that IPOB would not oppose the intimidation and humiliation of our businessmen and women at Onitsha Main Market, are gravely mistaken. They neither represent Onyendu nor understand him. Our leader has always stood—and will always stand—with the oppressed masses, not with their tormentors. No private meeting, inducement, or cowardly compromise can rewrite that truth.
Ifeanyi Ejiofor was sacked over 2 years ago and has no business with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Chinasa Nworu and Chika Edoziem contacted me last week and asked me to stop issuing statements publicizing our leader’s unlawful detention and I refused. That was when they started plotting to hijack the leadership of IPOB and divert attention away from our leader.
“Those individuals appointed into the Directorate of State (DOS) by our leader, have compromised the integrity of this struggle by holding meetings with Governor Soludo aimed at undermining the solidarity shown to Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the traders of Onitsha Main Market should be ashamed of themselves.”
Powerful in the same vein dismissed claims that he is just a pseudonym and does not exist.
“The public is hereby advised to disregard every fake and fabricated resignation being circulated in my name. I spoke with a member of DOS two days ago in the person of Chinasa Nworu, who wants me to abandon our leader in detention. If I “do not exist,” the public should ask him who he spoke to.
The chain of command in IPOB is not a recent invention. It is as old as the movement itself. A sacked lawyer and non member of ipob cannot speak for the movement
Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu deliberately created structured departments to manage the affairs of IPOB in moments exactly like this. His word is final. What he says is law within IPOB. Anyone struggling with this basic fact is either new to the struggle or fundamentally undisciplined.
The Directorate of Media & Publicity predates all Directorates except IT headed by Mazi Ofoma and Finance still headed by Madam Nnennaya Anya. If you do not understand this, then you lack historical grounding in IPOB. No newspaper, media house, or international platform publishes anything concerning IPOB without passing through the office of the Spokesperson. That is not arrogance; that is structure.
As Spokesperson of IPOB, my duty is simple and clear:
To communicate to the world the direction set by our leader. To help secure the release of our leader while keeping the movement resolute, disciplined, and uncontaminated in the collective effort to restore Biafra.
If Onyendu could appoint officers and debrief lawyers from detention, it means his directives are supreme and not subject to debate or query. He made this position clear to Asia Rep. that visited him last week on behalf of DOS. So there is no confusion whatsoever.
Only one person appoints or removes anyone in IPOB—our leader. No committee, no platform, no noise on social media alters this reality.
The sit-at-home scheduled for Monday, February 2, is a one-off action in direct response to Governor Soludo’s reckless intimidation of our people for showing solidarity with Onyendu. It is not open to speculation, reinterpretation, or distortion.
Anyone genuinely confused should go to Sokoto and seek clarification from our leader—not engage in idle gossip or internal sabotage online.
Those hoping we will forget Onyendu and start chasing shadows are deluding themselves. He founded IPOB. He called us into this struggle. We remain bound to his vision and his instructions.
If you are unwilling to follow what Onyendu wants, then form your own group and stop yapping on social media under the IPOB name.
For the avoidance of doubt: The press statement concerning Monday’s sit-at-home was issued by me and by nobody else.
OredoPikin2: Why do u have to toll a road that was built with Nigeria Money? The only roads that should be toll is private roads
Ladies and gentlemen, you see what I'm talking about? This funny guy actually believes that public roads are not tolled!!
What's wrong with tolling public roads?? Aren't public roads all over the world tolled?? Where do you want them to get the money to fix the roads?? Do you know what happened to the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway after the tollgates were removed?? Do you know what happened to the Lekki Expressway after the tollgates were removed?? Do you know how these roads deteriorated??
Everybody wants government to maintain highways, but nobody wants government to make the money to maintain the highways.
Once upon a time, long ago, government tolled the highways in order to generate the funds that it would use to maintain them.
In this video you can see that the chief of staff, Supreme Headquarters (military vice president) Brigadier Shehu Musa Yar'Adua paid the toll when he opened the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in 1978.
The road cost a total of 170 million naira (nearly 266 million dollars). And to recover at least part of that cost, and to pay for its upkeep, road users will have to pay a toll. Even at the opening ceremony, Brigadier Shehu Yar'Adua led the way in paying for the service the new expressway offers."
However, over the years, there were claims that the toll operators were corrupt and that they did not remit the funds to the government. Private companies were hired to run the toll plazas but the allegations of corruption continued.
Therefore, sometime around 2004, the Obasanjo Administration demolished the toll plazas. The government decided that it would impose a petrol tax and use that money to maintain the expressways, instead of relying on tolls.
(Some people believe that the demolition of the toll plazas led to the deterioration of highways like the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway).
South Africa's sports minister says that it's not a done deal.
He says that they are discussing with CAF, but as things stand, Morocco is still the host and many processes have to take place before South Africa can become the host.
Deputy Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Peace Mabe confirms that South Africa will be taking over from Morocco to host the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with only 60 days from kickoff.
