All these poorly trained bloggers. Police do not do show of force. Only the military does against a threat to another force or enemy country in a preemptive move.

Police on the other hand would maintain vigilance and ready to prevent crime and deescalate situations.

A police show of force does not arise in a democracy
Ignorance is a ba thing. That tweet was made by the police themselves and the police have often stated that they embark on show of force patrols.

This does not only happen in Nigeria.

Go find out about show of force or surge patrol.

Gov. Yusuf assures residents of strong security measures in Kano

…Warns Against Fake News and Attempts to Cause Panic…

The Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has issued a firm reassurance that the security and stability of the state remain fully intact and under control.

In a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said the assurance was made following the State Security Council meeting held on Sunday the 30th with security chiefs in attendance, where the government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and public safety across the state.

In response to the recent circulation of false and sensational security claims, the government states clearly that there is no credible intelligence suggesting any imminent or significant threat to public peace.

The administration strongly condemns the deliberate spread of misinformation aimed at causing fear, confusion, and distrust among residents.

The state government, in close coordination with Security Intelligence Services, law enforcement agencies, and community structures, is operating with heightened vigilance.

Security formations have been briefed, strategically deployed, and are working round the clock to neutralize any potential breach of peace.

Every part of Kano is under active surveillance and supported by a robust security architecture.

Government calls on residents to remain calm, patriotic, and responsible in their use of social media and other communication channels.

Individuals circulating fake news are advised to desist immediately, as such actions threaten public order and will attract legal consequences.

His Excellency assures the public that the administration is deeply invested in strengthening intelligence operations, enhancing inter-agency cooperation, and deploying advanced security mechanisms.

The government remains unwavering in its commitment: Kano will not succumb to fear, misinformation, or attempts to destabilize its peace.

Kano is safe, secure, and fully prepared to confront and defeat any threat. The residents therefore advised to remain calm and continue their normal businesses.

KANO SECURITY

Given the rising wave of insecurity and the recent threats facing Kano, the governor of Kano State has taken decisive steps to strengthen the state’s protection measures. During yesterday’s council meeting, the sum of ₦2,761,562,500.00 was allocated for the Procurement of Security Equipment, while an additional ₦1,004,342,689.86 was approved for the establishment of an Emergency Operation Centre at Government House, Kano.

These investments are crucial, especially at a time when Kano is confronting serious security challenges. The provision of advanced security equipment will enhance the capacity of security agencies, while the Emergency Operation Centre will improve coordination, rapid response, and crisis management across the state. All these efforts are aimed at addressing the fear and tension that have gripped the city in recent weeks.

Emeskhalifa:
Why aren't police from other states this kit up?
It depends. Each state has special units that the state government funds.

Sometime around 1996, in response to an increase in armed robbery incidents, the then military governor of Lagos, Colonel Mohammed Buba Marwa applied to the head of state, General Abacha, to create a special force to combat armed robbery incidents. Operation Sweep was thus created.

Operation Sweep was completely funded by the Lagos State Government. The state provided patrol vehicles and other equipment to the force. Operation Sweep was made up of soldiers and policemen.

Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999 and Governor Bola Tinubu converted Operation Sweep to Rapid Response Squad (RRS). The soldiers were removed and replaced with mobile policemen.

The Lagos State Government created the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. Individuals and organisationa can donate to the fund and the government also provides money to the fund. The Funs buys bullet proof vests, ballistic helmets, cars and other equipment to the RRS, LASTMA, The Lagos State Fire Service and other such agencies.

Kwara State Government @followKWSG

Kwara State Governor @RealAARahman visited the training ground of the newly recruited 2,600 additional forest guards in Ilorin, the capital of the State, to assess the quality of their ongoing multifaceted training.

The governor used the visit to encourage the prospective guards and their instructors, a move that reflects his administration’s continued commitment to improving the security of lives and property across the state.

His presence at the facility is expected to further lift the morale of the trainees and reassure residents, especially those in communities affected by recent threats, that concrete steps are being taken to enhance safety and restore calm in rural areas.

Officials at the training centre noted that the recruits have shown steady progress since the programme began, adding that the hands-on sessions are preparing them for field operations once they are deployed.

The AbdulRazaq-led administration maintains that it is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to stabilise the troubled parts of the state. So far, over 700 forest guards have been recruited, trained in basic military tactics, and are now working alongside security agencies to strengthen surveillance and combat security challenges.

While the military continues to clear the ungoverned forests, the forest guards will complement their efforts by ensuring that the reclaimed areas remain unsafe for criminal elements.

This coordinated approach is aimed particularly at preventing bandits and kidnappers from returning to hideouts previously used to launch attacks on innocent residents.

Double Chief Slapped Albert Obazee In Manchester (Video)

Albert Obazee is a supporter of the PDP and former governor Godwin Obaseki. He has been a long time critic of the Monday Okpebholo Administration.

Double Chief is a supporter of the APC and Governor Monday Opkebholo.

There was a cold war between Former Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Oba of Benin over the return of Bini artefacts. The former governor wanted to build a state-owned museum for the artefacts, while the Oba wanted to build a royal museum.

Therefore, Albert Obazee is also a critic of the Oba, while Double Chief is a supporter of the Oba.

There was an online clash and exchange of insults between Albert Obazee and Double Chief. Albert Obazee (who is based in Leeds) planned to have a meet and greet event for Godwin Obaseki in Manchester. Double Chief, who is a long time resident of Manchester, told Albert Obazee to cancel the event.

In this video Albert Obazee was streaming live from the event. He said that the location of the event was not a secret.

Double Chief appeared at the event. He introduced himself as Double Chief and said that he is the person that Albert Obazee said that he was looking for. Albert Obazee kept saying, "I greet you". Double Chief said that they should go somewhere and talk, but Albert Obazee kept repeating, "I greet you". Double Chief reminded Albert Obazee that he said that he was looking for him, but Albert said that it was Double Chief that was looking for him.

Then Double Chief gave Albert Obazee a thundering slap and people rushed in to separate them.

Since the slap, supporters of Governor Monday Okpebholo and the Oba of Benin have been taunting Albert Obazee online. Double Chief has returned to Benin and celebrated with Edo State government officials.

Supporters of Albert Obazee and Former Governor Godwin Obaseki have been calling for the arrest of Double Chief.

Heartfelt congratulations to the esteemed Double Chief of Manchester! It was an incredible privilege and a profoundly memorable moment to receive you in Edo State, a place that holds such rich cultural heritage and history.

Remarkably, in a span of fewer than three days, Double Chief has achieved the extraordinary feat of being honored with over 30 prestigious awards from the gracious and appreciative people of Edo State. These accolades reflect his commendable acts in defending the revered Palace of the Oba of Benin, showcasing his steadfast loyalty and valor.

Furthermore, Double Chief has rendered an invaluable service by imparting an educational lesson to Albert Obazee, a significant reminder to honor and respect the Oba of Benin—an illustrious figure regarded as one of the most venerated kings in the world.

This narrative serves as an essential testament to the values of respect and tradition, which should be drawn from the enlightening interview I had with Double Chief.

Adaze Emwanta is the Special Adviser to Governor Okpebholo on Legal Matters.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuRq1cbCATU?si=PQU0_vsF9WbGjcC9

Woman in audience: Oba Gha To Kpere

All: Ise!

Adaze Emwanta: So my brother don't be discouraged, Edo people we hate indiscipline. We would have even preferred you arrested him, but because it was in the heat of passion and he was trying to be funny, you now gave him a good slap.

(Applause from the audience)

Adaze Emwanta: Since you gave him that slap he has not been making so much noise.

Double Chief: Yes.

Adaze Emwanta: What he's now doing. . . he's now doing fundraising.

Double Chief: Yes.

Adaze Emwanta: This is your hand (he holds Double Chief's hand). Your hand was soft then o.

Good. It's a weapon that corrects injustice. It's a weapon that corrects indiscipline. It's a weapon that corrects bad behavior. Nobody will support bad behavior. They say two wronga cannot make a right. But having said that, I will assure you that some of us who believe in justice, we still believe that he has a case.

Double Chief: Yes.

Adaze Emwanta: Albert Obazee has a case to answer in Nigeria. You cannot commit a crime in Nigeria, you run abroad.

Someone in the audience: He's a criminal.

Adaze Emwanta: Somebody gave you a slap there and you're angry. Why would you be angry? You are busy terrorizing people using the internet. You insult the Oba, you insult government, you do all kinds of lies. He's known for one thing, he knows how to spread lies. Yes.

Someone in the audience: Propaganda

Adaze Emwanta: I'm happy that my brother is here. He was trying to create bad blood. Oh, that me and the special advisor on Arewa matters we have issues. He did a video of our office. There was nothing this id iot did not do.

We are asking himself and his master Obaseki, why are they abroad? They should come back home. They say charity begins at home. So we are appealing to them they should come back home. If they have not committed any criminal offense, they should come because the idea of hiding in the UK for us we find that totally unacceptable.

Obaseki swindled Edo State Government of funds to the tune of over 12 billion naira. Then the same Albert. . .

Is Albert a show promoter? For you to be a show promoter, you should have a license. Does Albert Obazee have a resident permit? Because he who goes to equity must go with clean hands. So for you to be organizing shows, it definitely means that the British government has given you a resident permit or you have what you call, you know, an employment permit. He's not permitted to work in the UK, but he's doing business. He's organizing shows for Obasaki.

The monies Obaseki took from Edo State, he is using it to organize, is it meet and beat?

Someone in the audience: When they meet, Double Chief beat them.

Adaze Emwanta: Meet and beat, sorry meet and greet. That's what they call it. But I think it has become meet and beat because some of these criminals are hiding in the UK. So when you meet them there. . .

Someone in the audience: You beat them there

Adaze Emwanta: And tell them that they have a case to answer because as I said before, provocation is a defense to assault. Yes. Cuz if you insult somebody's father in Nigeria, what you get is a slap. True or false?

Audience: True!

Adaze Emwanta: If you insult my father, I will slap you. Yes. So if you take me to court, I'll go and defend myself. Yes. Because even in the UK it is not allowed for you to insult the king or the queen. What they do is they stone people with egg. It's just that my brother didn't have an egg, he now converted his hand to an egg.

And that slap, if you ask me, that slap was well deserved. Well deserved. Well deserved and more are coming. More deserved.

In international diplomacy, don't they attack countries where people will die? But what you did was just a slap because in every rule or to every general rule in law, there's an exception. This is one slap that has united Edo State. Both the rich and the poor. Both the tall and the short both the fair and the black has seen that that slap represents those that could not do it.

In Nigeria, we have been looking for criminals to bring to justice. But some of them are hiding in the UK. If our people can be slapping them and that slap will make them to come back. Is it not good for them to be slapping them for them to come?

Someone in the audience: They should be slapping them every day. Everyday slap.

Adaze Emwanta: You know, because it's only an animal that will insult a king as great as the Oba of Benin. It's only an animal. It's only an animal. You will see a king. . .

He violated some laws of the UK. So I want to appeal to you to also join those asking that this young man called Albert Obazee, er there's a man that calla him terrorist, because what he has been doing there is what we call cyber terrorism.

So he has a serious case to answer and on behalf of the gatekeepers initiative we have to give you this special award. This award of excellence, an award that says promote the Bini culture, promote the Benin Kingdom, defend the Oba, you know, for as long as you don't do anything that will. . . because the slap has awakened the consciousness of Bini people to defend the Oba, cuz the Oba as a king cannot defend himself.

Try that, insult the Queen of England, try that insult the Queen and you will see the the wrath of the British people.

There are two kingdoms in the world, the Benin Kingdom and the United Kingdom, right. Yes. In the UK, you cannot insult the King. Otherwise, the British people will mob. . . they will. . . they will kill you.

If you go to the Wembley, just try go to Wembley Stadium and insult the king. If you come back alive, you go and do thanksgiving.

But what you have done was to caution a deviant, a criminal, a fugitive from justice, a fraud, and to assure you that there are still some Edo people that believe in appreciating what is good. You are a man of courage. You've done something that most of us could not do. And again, I always tell people when you know you cannot do something, whoever does it, applaud the person. So it is in that spirit we are applauding you.

Slap: Edo Government Officials Will Be Cautioned If They Celebrated Double Chief - Kassim Afegbua

Kassim Afegbua is the Edo State commissioner for information.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOrBaT7Kxg8?si=e13YnYytr6Y2c31C

Kassim Afegbua: We will interrogate it and the one we can get, we will get it back.

Those who presided over Edo Best where are they today? They told you and I that Edo was E-governed, E-government, E-education, e-learning, E everything, my brother where is e-learning? You and I, we live in this town, where is it?

Where are the internet services in communities like Okpella where I come from, Okpekpe, Agenebode and all that? Where are the infrastructure for e-learning? Why do we deceive ourselves and deceive the people? You sweet talk the people because you feel that that is the only way they can support you. Why?

If they supported you to come for a second term in 2020, what have you done to show appreciation by way of service delivery?

Interviewer: Just before we go, one more thing, very important. It's important we talk about it.

A popular critic of Governor Monday Okpebholo based in the diaspora, an Edo indigene known as Albert Obazee was attacked by one Double Chief

Kassim Afegbua: Ehen?

Interviewer: Yes

Kassim Afegbua: I don't. . . Who is Albert Obazee?

Interviewer: He is a Bini man

Kassim Afegbua: Ehen.

Interviewer: Yes

Kassim Afegbua: An Edo son?

Interviewer: Yes

Kassim Afegbua: Oh, okay.

Interviewer: Based in the diaspora. So he was attacked there for criticizing Governor Monday Okpebholo's administration. So the attacker. . .

Kassim Afegbua: Oh! Who attacked him?

Interviewer: The said Double Chief.

Kassim Afegbua: Okay.

Interviewer: Yeah, slapped him.

So the attacker, allegedly, was invited by the state government to Benin City, he was celebrated. So we saw some government officials,. . .

Kassim Afegbua: Namely?

Interviewer: From footages we saw an SSA to the governor and we saw a member of the state house of assembly.

Kassim Afegbua: No no no we don't we don't thrive in those. . . They may have acted in their personal capacity.

Interviewer: So, we want you to clear the air.

Kassim Afegbua: They may have acted in their personal capacity. This is not the. . . Governor Monday Okpebholo is a man of peace. You will discover in Edo state that even those who were his violent critics during the campaign, about 80% of them have emptied into APC. He has absorbed them, he has also given them appointments. The man who was chairman of Obaseki's internal revenue, John Inegbedion, he's a special adviser to the government today. These are people who criticize him. Friday Itula was one of the persons that also ran all kinds of commentaries against the government, he's a member of APC today. Imosilo is another, he's a member of APC today. So there are quite a number of them.

We are not in the business of witch-hunting anybody for whatever they do. We allow their consciences to judge them and so if all those persons have done anything it may be in their personal capacity, it is not a state policy for us to go against Edo people. We rather. . .

Interviewer: Don't you think this portends bad image to the government, if they are acting in their personal capacity and they are part of the government?

Kassim Afegbua No, they will definitely be cautioned once we study the footages you said, I haven't seen the footage, but definitely if there are footages that speak to this direction we'll put them to task. Appropriate sanctions will be meted to them.

But you know people can respond to issues in in different ways. The. . . I want to believe the Albert. . . is it the Albert you are talking about, I heard him say 800 was used to buy vehicles. My brother, a sane person cannot make such a statement. 800 billion is not 800 naira. It's not 800 million naira. Please. People come out to criticize. They should not be carried away by infatile dissemination. They should be carried away by facts and figures. Have we received 800 billion since we came into office? Let alone deploying that kind of resources to buying vehicle. Meanwhile, we are doing a lot of projects across the state. So please,.

Interviewer: But you said you don't know Albert Obazee, how. . .?

Kassim Afegbua: No, I've just told you. I said I heard a statement by him. I really don't know him. That's truth. I don't know him, but I heard the comment that he made. I don't, I can't really
