My old posts.

naptu2:
Here's an example of what I wrote about some years ago. Some people love to project this view that recruitment into the Armed Forces is skewed to favour the North. The fact of the matter, as I wrote back then, is that all states have an equal quota for recruitment into the Armed Forces and its up to the state governments to encourage their citizens to fill up their quota.

The only time that there was briefly an uneven quota was in the First Republic and that was done in order to correct an imbalance. At that time there were more Northerners in the Other Ranks cadre than people from other regions and more Easterners in the Officer cadre than people from other regions and the quota was used to equalise things.

Click on this link below and you'll see the Lagos State Government's efforts to ensure that citizens of Lagos fill up its quota

As I said back then, this quota system is implemented in the United States by ensuring that nobody can be admitted into the United States military academies unless they have a nomination from their senator or from the Vice President of the US (this means that senators fight to ensure that their constituencies are equally represented).

Show them how to do it while they chop the money? I hope you are normal. If they pass the security budget funds to me, i will show them.
Monkey no go de work while Baboon de chop. Common sense
Lame excuses. The troops, the officers and men fighting there that you are insulting do not have security budget, yet they are doing the job. Since you are better than them, go and show them how to do it, rather than making noise online.

Noise, noise, noise because it's easy to make noise online. Excuses don't get the job done, since you are better and you know it all, go and show them how it's done. Every child is the best commamder or warrior in his head.

All mouth, no action or knowledge.

Everybody could see that the King was naked, but the King continued to pretend that he was wearing new robes.

You cannot wake a person that is pretending to be asleep.

Many people have posted videos and newspaper articles of schools, clinics, hospitals, housing estates, stadiums, government house, etc.

Everybody can see these articles and videos, but some people are pretending that they cannot see.

Isn't that entertaining?
PoliticsRe: Looking For Tinubu Legacy Project As Lagos State Governor by naptu2: 8:03am On May 14, 2025
This is why it is a waste of time to engage some people. They are just not serious. Videos, newspaper articles, facts have been posted, but these people are magically unable to see it.

That's why I said that I came to this thread to laugh.

I mean, is it not funny that some people cannot see what everybody can see? Even the things that they listed (stadium and government house) are there, but they are magically unable to see them.

Is that not wonderful?

They are obviously not serious. They are joker men and they are only good for laughs.

Representation.

Representation is important in armed forces around the world. Various countries use different means to ensure representation in their armed forces.

In the United States you need to be nominated by your senator, member of Congress or the vice president of the US before you can attend any military university. This is to ensure that members of Congress fight for their constituents to be represented in the armed forces.

In the UK they have specific military units for specific ethnic groups. You have the Scots Guards, the Welsh Guards, etc.

In Nigeria each state has a quota and state governments encourage their citizens to fill the quota.

The reason it has been in the news in recent times is because some states are unable to fill their quota. The military receives less applications from these states and it is much less than the assigned quota. So the authorities want to encourage more people from these states to join the military (so that there will be no cry of marginalisation in future).

You are not hearing about the other institutions because they don't have problems filling their quota.
PoliticsRe: Military Aircraft Display In Abuja And Lagos Ahead Of Nigerian Air Force Day by naptu2(op):
As I wrote in 2013, the terrorists in the North-East want to take over the entire West Africa. They want to unalive anybody that opposes or even disagrees with them and take over the whole of West Africa.

These terrorists have received support from terrorists in Mali (and Boko Haram fighters have been seen in Mali), Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (which fights in Algeria, Morocco, etc), Al-Shabab in Somalia, etc.

The only thing stopping the terrorists from invading Lagos (they actually detonated a bomb in Lagos in 2014), Onitsha, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, etc is the effort of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Yet some jokers that are being protected by the armed forces, some arm chair experts, will always cast doubt on the successes of the Armed Forces (one joker said that the Air Force rented aircraft for this display, other jokers have insinuated that the Air Force is not battling insurgents and that all they are doing is displaying) and celebrate anytime the terrorists attack our armed forces. Can you imagine that?

These terrorist sympathisers are supporting the exact people that want to unalive them and villifying the people that protect them!
