Yampotatocarrot:You are wrong and you don't understand what's happening at all. I will try (only once) to explain it to you (though most of the information is on the first page). Read carefully. 1) I complained severely on Nairaland for many years that our CNG infrastructure was not enough. I saw in 1989 when government promised to introduce CNG and Peugeot even made a 504 that was powered by CNG. However, years later, there were no CNG stations or conversion centres. The stations were supposed to be built by the Nigerian Gas Company, a subsidiary of NNPC. 2) The NNPC ran a pilot programme in Benin City in the 2000s. It partnered with Nipco to set up CNG stations and conversion centres. Many taxis in Benin City now use CNG. That was around 2005 to 2007. However, they did not extend it nationwide and I criticised the government for not extending it nationwide. 3) The government has now realised that it cannot go it alone. It is not for government to establish CNG stations, rather government should encourage the private sector to establish CNG stations. Very many CNG stations have been built across the country in the past 3 years by very many companies. 4) Private companies are also establishing CNG conversion centres. These conversion centres that you see are not government owned. They are owned by private engineering and car companies. However, government got them to convert commercial vehicles for free and to allow private vehicles to pay in installment. 5) This is one of the reasons why I said that it's too many for me to name. There are very many companies that are setting up CNG filling stations and I cannot possibly name all. 6) For example, you mentioned Imo, Saga Energy, which helped Dangote convert his trucks and set up filling stations at his plant in Obajana, is building CNG filling stations in Imo. https://sagasenergy.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Sagas-Energy-Ltd-Brochure-Printable.pdf You can see that it is not on my list on the first page. I cannot possibly name all the CNG stations and companies, just as I cannot name all the petrol stations and companies in Nigeria. Cocean Energy also wants to set up a CNG station in Imo State, but the location is currently subject to a land dispute. https://easternleadexpress.ng/stop-frustrating-establishment-of-cng-by-cocean-avu-mechanic-village-warns-ukachukwuc/ 7) I have explained this over and over and it is even on the first page (with a quote by Innoson). Those vehicles can use both CNG and petrol. If CNG finishes and you are in a place that doesn't have a CNG station, then use petrol. |
Taigaban:There will be more next weekend. |
Is that guy still wasting his time and trying to get my attention? Does he really think that I will read his post? Simple question, you said that they are not too many to mention. OK, go ahead and mention them. He can't. How does he expect me to take him seriously? |
jmoore:Hahahahahahahahahaha I said that there were too many for me to name. He claimed that they aren't too many. I told him to go ahead and name them and this is what he came up with? Is this a joke? Are these the names? Obviously you are not serious and I only engage serious people. Goodbye. I won't read your posts any more. |
jmoore:OK, then, name them all. |
Omalicious1:Yeah, all the PCNGI programmes are done in phases (they can't possibly do everything in one day). For example, they've been running the conversion programme every weekend for more than a month now. The 2,000 tricycles are the tricycles that will be distributed in one place (Abuja) on one day (Independence Day). |
What the hell! ![]() One funny character up there said I am pushing something for blah blah blah. Can you imagine? Do you think I care what you do? I provide information for those who need it. Whether you use it or not, whether you use it or not is none of my business. I am not trying to convince you of anything, whether you convince yourself or not is your personal problem and I don't give a damn about it. It makes no difference to me. |
GAZZUZZ:From Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, founder of Innoson: "The CNG vehicles are a solution, that's why we produce them. We made space for CNG, LNG, and Fuel so that anyone available in an area can be used to drive the vehicles. Electric cars, biogas, and solar-powered vehicles are also produced in this factory".https://www.nairaland.com/7720173/innoson-produces-cng-vehicles-asks |
There is also a programme for private vehicles to convert to CNG and pay in instalments. Woye @woye1 This is not correct. 1: Note this and you can verify from my media because I monitored all the centers in Abuja today with the National Coordinator of PCNG. For commercial drivers, it is Free of Charge.

There are too many CNG filling stations in Nigeria for me to list all of them, but these are lists of some of the major CNG chains in Nigeria (I can't list all the small companies). naptu2: |

The CNG conversion programme for commercial vehicles continued yesterday in Edo, Delta, Kwara, Kogi, Lagos. Abuja, Oyo, Ogun and Kaduna states. The conversions are done by private engineering and automotive companies, but the government has an agreement with them to convert commercial vehicles for free.
