naptu2: Let's see if I can remember.
Hassan Sunmonu battled the austerity measures of the Shagari Government (which were put in place because of the collapse of the economy in 1982).
Ali Ciroma took over from him and battled Babangida's SAP programme. Because of that, President Babangida, in one of his "is proscribed" speeches (during the 1988 SAP riot) banned the NLC. Ciroma was also detained. By the time that the NLC was unbanned, the Federal Military Government had appointed a sole administrator for the trade union collective. I can't quite remember who the sole administrator was.
There was an election for a new president of the NLC for the first time in many years. Pascal Bafyau won the election, but many people believed that he was imposed by Babangida's Government through dark methods. Many people hated him, but you cannot take away the fact that he brought a lot of innovations to the NLC.
It was during his tenure that the Labour Party was created. He also created the Labour Mass Transit company and built the Labour House in Abuja.
NUPENG and PENGASSON showed Abacha pepper, so he banned the 2 unions and detained their presidents (the hunt for Frank Kokori was epic. He was the only person that showed Abacha pepper). The Abacha Administration also banned the NLC and later appointed a sole administrator for it.
It wasn't until 1999 before the NLC had another presidential election. It was won by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. He led the battle against the Obasanjo Government's attempt to remove petroleum subsidies.
Abdulwaheed Omar took over from him in 2007 and served until 2015.
Ayuba Wabba took over from him in 2015 and his tenure is about to come to an end.
The NLC has just elected Joe Ajaero as its new president. |

Johnjustice: I said 'assertion', I didn't say you quoted...by your sentence everyone knew your point is that, Dangote refinery will have no positive impact on fuel and diesel prices in Nigeria, by what you wrote, this is easily summized.
This your point is invalid, not backed by empirical data or sound reason. JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH! WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS?? First you make false allegations against me and I ask you for evidence. Of course you have no evidence, so you manufacture some fake thought that you put in my head. ARE YOU A MIND READER?? If I want to say something, I'll say it plainly. I don't need you to manufacture some nonsense for me. It's even obvious that this statement is absolute nonsense, because the person I quoted was complaining that Dangote was not selling fuel oil in Nigeria and I asked how he could expect Dangote to sell fuel oil in Nigeria, YET YOU CLAIMED THAT I COMPLAINED THAT DANGOTE IS NOT SELLING FUEL OIL IN NIGERIA!!! Is reading so hard? Is comprehension so hard that you have to manufacture strange things? Are you hearing strange voices in your head and is that what made you decide to put words in my mouth?? |

Johnjustice: You seem to be half smart...the products are derivates of crude, this is neither diesel or PMS, why will Dangote sell them to us when we don't need them?
Of course government as a responsible institution will find ways to ensure the Dangote refinery being in Nigeria, brings down the price of diesel and PMS, because when the price of these energy products reduce in Nigeria, more people can invest in production and manufacturing etc.
Your assertion is invalid, Dangote will definitely supply Nigeria market diesel and PMS, and the price will reduce WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING ON NAIRALAND?? WHY CAN'T PEOPLE READ ANYMORE?? CAN YOU SHOW ME WHERE I SAID THAT DANGOTE WILL NOT SUPPLY THE NIGERIAN MARKET WITH DIESEL AND PETROL?? CAN YOU SHOW ME WHERE I SAID THAT DANGOTE SHOULD SELL FUEL OIL IN NIGERIA?? CAN YOU READ?? It seems I need to leave nairaland because I can't understand what's happening here. IS IT SO HARD TO READ AND UNDERSTAND SIMPLE SENTENCES?? |

🤣🤣🤣
You see what I mean? Iwaeda said that I said that Dangote was going to flood the Nigerian market with fuel. I asked him to show me where I said that, but he can't (no evidence). All he is doing is running in circles and mumbling gibberish. He is trying to run away from his position because he cannot defend it.
As I said before, do not expect him to make any meaningful or sensible post. He is only good for comedy and entertainment. For example, isn't his original insinuation that Dangote should have sold fuel oil in Nigeria funny? (I bet he has no idea what fuel oil is).
But this is my last post about him. It's best to leave him to keep clowning about and entertaining us. |

dominique: Didn't he say he was going to sell it below N1,000? And we still have to wait till may before he starts selling? I pity anybody that believes this dangote has the interest of Nigerians at heart. Did Dangote say so? Where and when did he say so? |

If you ask these propagandists iwaeda and pigstormentor to show you where I wrote anything about Dangote "flooding the market with petroleum products", they won't be able to show you. Theirs is to attack any thread they see and try and spin it one way or the other.
What the hell is my business with Dangote flooding the market with petroleum products and how is that propaganda?? Propaganda about what and propaganda to do what?
But those two don't usually create sensible and meaningful posts anyway, so it's understandable.

free2ryhme: Kemi Olunloyo started this nonsense Kemi Olunloyo copied it from K24. She even got a lot of things wrong. K24 wrote "JKIA", that is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. She thought that it was John F. Kennedy Airport and she wrote that Davido was in New York (he was in Kenya). |
