Listen to a real soldier, not an arm chair commander. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iziQG0YG4yw?si=2OVdUiR0PNlBwvk2 |
Anyone who thinks I'm going to engage him is wasting his time. I have realised that this thread is infected with people who are using multiple accounts to spew dribble. As the OP has shown, they will keep moving the goalpost when you expose the errors in their post. I have no time to waste on such non sense. |
It reminds me of the guy that thought that soldiers are only promoted based on how they perform in battle. That would mean that no soldier is promoted when there is no war. |
And it's not only that their original premise is wrong (Nigerian female soldiers have fought at the war front, there are many videos of them fighting), but they don't even know the duties of a soldier. Imagine saying that the country is wasting money to train female soldiers that will just sit at the barracks. These people probably need to read my military qualifications series in order to know what a soldier does. |
ZombieDredd:That's why some people were sceptical when he started. They thought that he was doing what he was doing because the governor (Ajimobi) was a member of the APC. They thought that he just wanted to make things difficult because the governor was in APC and he was in PDP. |
Sunday Igboho was a PDP thug before he veered into the Yoruba Nation thing. He has been involved in politics since when Olusegun Obasanjo was president. "I've been a PDP member since 1999", says Sunday Igboho in old video. https://punchng.com/ive-been-pdp-member-since-1999-igboho-says-in-old-viral-video/? |
Anyway, what else can you expect from kids on Nairaland. |
Can you imagine this nonsense?? This guy falsely claimed that female soldiers were not deployed to the battlefield (I mean, just look at the title of the thread), he was proved wrong and now he is talking about ratio! What a useless attempt to shift the goalpost. Not only does he create threads based on complete ignorance, but he also doesn't have the integrity to admit when he's wrong, instead he runs from his initial position! (Talkimg nonsense about ratio as if the number of males and females in the armed forces is the same). chatinent: |
And yet threads about the deployment of female security operatives to mission theaters have been created on Nairaland. Stories of captured female troops have also been created on Nairaland. Why do so many people like to create threads and make definite statements that are based on complete ignorance?? Pedro Sanchez @sanchezcastejon The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain.Source

Background 1) I wrote a series on this thread about things that happened in northern Nigeria in the 1970s and 1980s. There was a lot of tension because there was competition between Saudi Arabia /Sheikh Gummi The First (who were promoting Sunni Islam) and Iran/Sheikh Zakzaky (who were promoting Shia Islam). 2) At this point we need to address an issue that has often cropped up on Nairaland since 2005. Iran has not been involved in Al-Qaeda, ISIS, ISWAP and those other terrorist groups (there's always a nairalander that props up with that false claim, but he is usually schooled). Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram and all those other groups say that they are affiliated to Sunni Islam, while Iran is the biggest Shia country. They are of different denominations and they are actually opponents. If you are looking for the group that Iran supports in Nigeria, look no further than the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) led by Sheikh Zakzaky. 3) I have written about the IMN and I'll simply tell you why I wrote about them (because that's the most important thing and it's what you need to know). The IMN has a habit of staging marches and these marches have become a problem. The IMN usually stages marches on their holy days and you'll see large number of IMN members walking down an important expressway in Kaduna. Nobody can pass when they are marching. This often causes unbelievable traffic jams and disturbs the lives of people living in the area. To make matters worse, the IMN do not believe in Nigeria, they do not believe in the constitution or any earthly authority. Therefore they've often had clashes with government. Sometimes government tries to ignore them, but General Sani Abacha's regime detained Sheikh Zakzaky, some of his children were killed during the Goodluck Jonathan era and many of his followers were killed when they blocked the road (because they were marching) and they refused to allow the chief of army staff (General Buratai) convoy to pass. Generals in the convoy came down to beg the IMN members to move and allow the convoy to pass, but IMN youths were threatening the generals and hitting their chests (I actually saw the video of IMN youths tapping the chests of generals). Then the bodyguards opened fire and were able to clear a path for the convoy to pass. (If I remember correctly, General Buratai was travelling between Kaduna and Zaria to attend the NDA graduation ceremony, but the IMN had blocked the highway). Soldiers invaded the IMN compound later that night. 4) I once created a thread an in that thread I praised the inspector general of police because he did something that I had always wondered why IGPs had not done in the past. This was the first Trump tenure and President Trump launched an attack that killed a senior Iranian general. The inspector general of police put all policemen in Nigeria on high alert after that attack. That was the right thing to do. You see, the IMN has a habit of staging marches anytime Iran is attacked and this always causes a lot of disruption. I want you to understand what I mean by disruption, so I'll tell you about something else. The Army invaded Zakzaky's compound and IMN members also rioted. Therefore Zakzaky was arrested and had many court cases that were separately instituted by the Federal Government and the Kaduna State Government. The IMN staged marches any time Zakzaky appeared in court and I need you to go to YouTube and watch videos of those marches and see the chaos it caused in Abuja and Kaduna. 5) The purpose of this post is to say that the security services in Nigeria (especially in Abuja and Kaduna) need to be on high alert because the IMN might stage more marches to protest against the attacks on Iran. 2020 thread: Death Of Soleimani: Nigerian IGP Adamu Places Policemen On Red Alert Nationwide https://www.nairaland.com/5615427/death-soleimani-nigerian-igp-adamu |
