That's what I said, .....imagine no standard stadium in the so-called capital..... They have turned to grazing ground for cows
So why did you ask me about it when I wrote that there is no stadium in Abuja?

The fake message.

NEWS“I keep receiving toxic calls and messages regarding my meeting with the president yesterday” – Ngozi Okonjo Iweala

Published 3 hours ago on August 9, 2023By admin

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala GCON a Nigerian-American economist, who is serving as the 7th Director-General of the World Trade Organization since March 2021, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday and since then she has been receiving threats.

Her words:

“I keep receiving toxic calls and messages regarding my meeting with the president yesterday, and from those I hold in very high esteem. Honestly, I am shocked at the contents of the messages and tone of the callers. Has Nigeria sank this low? A visit I made for the good of our dear nation is what they are using to threaten my life and family! You don’t recognise someone as your president yet begging him to save you from the hands of killers in your region.
I am bringing investors to Nigeria using the president’s commendable policies as a bait. Is that too difficult to understand? President Tinubu’s reforms might be harsh now but they would birth a new and prosperous nation. I have lost count of presidents, respected Institutions and investors that have called to congratulate me on Nigeria eventually having a focused leader since the reforms were rolled out. At least, six multi national manufacturing giants are coming with me by December later this year to see how their firms can have factories here. It’s all part of my contributions to the progress of Nigeria. I am not a politician. I only desire the best for my dear country. It informed my visit to president Tinubu. The world has accepted him as our president, like it or not. May God heal us”

This is the video.

Basically she was trying to intimidate Aisha Mohammed (you can't intimidate Aisha Mohammed! She grew up in Ikeja Cantonment). There was a lot of pushing and shoving and some elbows. You can also hear Liz Cambage insulting the Nigerians. The final straw was when she slapped Aisha Mohammed. After recovering from the slap, Aisha Mohammed ran across the court and punched her.

I scared to watch.

Please let me know if he had a good performance?
Basically, he didn't come on the show to compete. He went there to perform his comedy routine. The judges and audience thought that he was a contestant on the show, but they were actually guests on his comedy skit.

He didn't tell them that he was a comedian. He performed other things and eventually succeeded in making them laugh.

She is very talented, but she also has behaviour problems. She has fought with everybody.

She claims that the Australian players don't like her and that the Australian team is racist.

She went to the US (WNBA) and basically insulted the team that drafted her (Tulsa Shock). She implied that the team was too small for her.

She moved to Asia, but eventually returned to the US to play for the Los Angeles Sparks. She complained that the other players were not passing the ball to her. She said that she's the star of the team and they brought her to carry the team, so they need to pass the ball to her more.

She claimed that the team promised to buy her a G-Wagon, but they didn't. Her contract was eventually cancelled.

She elbowed a Nigerian player, slapped another Nigerian player and called the Nigerians monkeys and said that they should go back to their third world country.

But she also believes that others are to blame for her problems.

Basketball is a team sport and she's not a team player. We don't need her because she'll cause problems in the locker room.

That's what annoys me the most. They have a lot of products/brands that they can leverage on, but they are always relying on government or FIFA money.

Colin NOT Collins 🇳🇬🇺🇸 @ColinUdoh

I’ve spoken to @nbbfonline leadership on this and got two things from them

1. There was actually a racist slur used which caused that game to be stopped

2. They are NOT in any talks with Cambage about representing Nigeria.

There is a little bit more to the story, though. So let me explain. In the immediate aftermath of the bust up during that scrimmage, @ecambage went into the Nigeria dressing room to apologize. After that, she spoke to officials, including then coach Otis Hughely.

One official who was part of the conversation said she told them Australia don’t like her and she would like to switch and represent Nigeria. Coach Hughely responded by saying imagine how great it would be to have her, Liz Williams and the Ogwumikes playing for Nigeria.

Remember, this was when the Ogwumike sisters were trying to switch from Team USA. However, that was about the extent of the conversation and nothing else happened beyond that. A few days ago, Cambage reached out to an NBBF official, with a heads up about her interview.

She told the official what she had said in the interview and that she had told them she was talking to him about switching to Nigeria. I called the official and he confirmed receiving the text from her, but said he did not respond as he was busy at AfroBasket

However, he did say that the NBBF Board had no intention of requesting a switch for @ecambage, the board had not even heard about it let alone discuss it and there was zero chance of that happening.

The very exact words used were “it would be easier for an elephant to pass through the eye of a needle, not even a camel” than for Cambage to play for Nigeria. The first, last and only time that conversation happened was when Liz herself brought it up in 2021.

The Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum, spoke about this issue on July 29th.

The money that is being owed the Falcons are bonuses from Nations Cup qualifiers against Ghana and the Ivory Coast and some friendly matches, all of which were played in 2021.

The Falcons went on strike during the Nations Cup in 2022. The NFF had to fly in part of the money that they were being owed at the Nations Cup before they called off the strike.

The NFF then organised a clear the air meeting and it encouraged the players to speak freely. Tochukwu Oluehi, the Falcons former number 1 goalkeeper and current number 2 keeper, said that the NFF has always been owing them and making promises that they never keep. She said that she has been in the national team set up for 15 years (from Under 17 level) and every time the NFF promises to pay them, but always ends up owing. She said that she's not getting younger and she has people that depend on her, so she needs this money.

NFF officials got angry because she spoke out and they told the coach to drop her. They said the coach must pick a young home based goalkeeper instead. The coach initially agreed to take a look at the young home based goalkeeper. However, NFF did not hold the camp in Nigeria that they had promised to have before the World Cup, so he never got to see the young goalkeeper play. The coach then told the NFF that he cannot take a goalkeeper that he has never seen to the World Cup. He said that his contract states that he picks the players and therefore he is taking Tochukwu Oluehi to the World Cup. The NFF then said that he cannot take his assistant to the World Cup.

The assistant coach of the Falcons, Lauren Gregg, was the assistant coach of the United States National Team when they won the World Cup. She is Randy Waldrum's mentor, adviser and she is one of the most respected football coaches in the US. The NFF told the coach that he could not take his assistant to the World Cup because he refused to drop Tochukwu Oluehi. They wanted him to drop Tochukwu Oluehi because she complained that the NFF was owing them.
