Keneking:

Oga, you can get the insurance yourself at any time of the day with your debit card just enter health insurance for students at SA.

How old is your brother? Does he operate a bank account with cash balance? Pls visit the embassy on time and register your name.

The insurance fee is part of the school fee I paid that's why the school will be the one to do the insurance for me. I just read on dha website that minors in South Africa means 18 and below.
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by naruto02(m): 9:00pm On Jan 29, 2016
@keneking I pray they send the insurance on Monday or during the weekend. That's what stopped me from going to the embassy last week. The school said they've been trying to get the company release my medical cover (as of Monday) they'll send it immediately when they receive it. I have to find a way to put the letter together. I don't live with my parents now( my brother could just act as my sole custody since I stay with him).
Why did the security guard at the embassy tell me it's 11-12am (thanks for the tip)
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by naruto02(m): 1:14pm On Jan 29, 2016
Okay. Thanks guys I'll just fill both and make sure I have enough documents for both then go to the embassy. Any 1 dey want I'll just give them. I'm sure the time is 11am for verification of document on Tuesday. I want to write 3rd March as departure date (hope it's not too early) since 4th feb is the date of submission of document. In the space of available funds is it necessary I put the actual amount because I'll be having dollar and naira but when I get to MMIA I'll Change the naira to rand. Also in my acceptance letter it says I'll be a resident of (I can't remember the house number) in Walmer port Elizabeth. So hope I don't need any other proof of residence or hotel reservation when submitting document in the embassy.the school representative will come pick me up in the airport so I hope I won't have problem with the immigration there when they ask about the hotel reservation. For minors they need letter from parents(I'm 20 am I considered as minor). In documents list the places that have the "where applicable" should I tick no or leave it blank

My documents are almost complete I'll be going to the embassy on Tuesday. I'm I supposed to get the form at the embassy? The I got 2 different kinds of forms on the web. Please which 1 of them is the right 1

Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by naruto02(m): 9:12pm On Jan 26, 2016
My school says they need to know my intended date of travel to book my accommodation. So I think they'll just do all of that when I get there I'll pay for it. For now that's what I think.

STUDY VISA TAKE JUST 10 WORKING DAYS THAT IS TWO WEEKS FROM YOUR DATE OF SUBMISSION.. THE ONLY THING THAT MAY CAUSE DELAY IS WHEN THEY CALL YOU FOR ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT. IT IS ONLY SOUTH AFRICAN EMBASSY THAT ATTENDS TO STUDY PERMIT AND NOT VSF... IF YOU SUBMIT ON THURS 28TH JAN YOU WILL BE TOLD TO COME AND PICK YOUR INTL PASSPORT ON 12TH OF FEB...

GOODLUCK

THE EMBASSY IS AT OKOYA THOMAS V.I YOU CAN GET A TRICYCLE FROM OBALENDE GOING TOWARD EKO HOTEL ROUND ABOUT V.I
I stay in Abuja. Do you think the ones in Abuja proceess visa fast as Lagos does?
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by naruto02(m): 9:13pm On Jan 25, 2016
There are SAA flight that go from ABUJA-LAGOS with a layover of about an hour then LAGOS-JO'BURG then to PORT ELIZABETH.
So I think during the layover at MMIA I'll do the exchange
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by naruto02(m): 7:16pm On Jan 25, 2016
@hankvoight thanks. I appreciate. But where's this MMIA? I called a number on the vsf website (I don't know where to get contact of those in the embassy)the man told me that study visa takes up to 3months and there are applications that's been submitted since November and hasn't been returned. I was scared upon hearing that because my training starts 10th February and I'm submitting the application next week Tuesday(could've been tomorrow but the police clearance delayed the stuff) I want to tell the school if there's any way they'll plead to the department of home affairs on my behalf to fast track my application.

Hello, please I have loads questions to ask.I want to get all my documents ready on Monday so that Tuesday I can go to the embassy for my study visa.
1. I want to make a flight itinerary/reservation with southafrican airways but I don't really understand the thing. There's an option that says you pay before the next 72hrs, no way I'm going to pay for flight before my visa is approved. If I don't pay the reservation will be cancelled and submitting a cancelled reservation in d embassy will be a problem any way out?
2.how many months of transaction is to shown on my sponsors bank statement? Also do I need to get my own bank statement too
3. When I made the 1st payment I had to give the money (naira) to someone to change to dollar and send to someone in South Africa to Change into rands and pay for me. Please is there a simple way I can get rands with my naira?
4.Does proof of residence mean the proof of where you'll be staying in South Africa or where you're staying here in Nigeria.
5. The school stated that the lesson is schedule to start on 10th February and there is a space in the form that said "any additional information you wish to bring to the departments attention"
Can I plead for fast approval because the starting date is so near?

NB: I have my yellow card, med and radiological report, acceptance letter from the institution(stating the total duration of program and also the address of where I'll be residing) I'm expecting the medical cover tomorrow(Monday) and also the police character report.
Please anyone there with answers?

If you apply on Tuesday next week, expect to get 5th February 2016. There is so much backlog from last year and this week's applicants have been told to check back on 29 January 2016. Hope this satisfies your query?

Please does it apply to the one in Abuja too? And are there appointed days for applying and collecting?

Hello can someone please help me with the necessary info for clearance..Thanks
Go along with all your ORIGINAL credentials. If you don't have your statement of result or original waec/neco but only the print out, you have to attach waec/neco result scratch card to it. That's at least for my department. If you pay for admission notification you'll see the required documents now... You don't need to be told

Hello please also want to pay for enrollment deposit which part of it is for medical insurance which is part of the visa requirements. They've sent the account details but I want to know if I can make the payments online via credit/debit cards, PayPal or any other online way. They haven't replied I think maybe because of the break. Secondly if I get there do I need to open a bank account there or I should stick to the GTBANK Naira master card I have. Lastly what what kind of documents is required when they say proof of residence.

Hello house, very soon I'd like to travel to sa for school (flying school to be precise). I read most of the requirements for the visa stuff but what I want to clarify is that the official bank statement, is it going to be your sponsors bank account or your sponsor has to transfer the money into your bank account. Secondly, are going to book a flight before or after the visa is been granted? Finally how long does it take to grant your visa application
