A visitor visa is acceptable for a 2yr old. Daycare can accept your daughter if you present her visa and your study permit(the parent). Canadian Immigration laws allow dependent children of international students to be enrolled in daycare and elementary schools without a study permit.

Ensure you get her medicals done before you travel; a medical examination is required if you intend to stay in Canada for more than six consecutive months.
When you arrive at the Point of Entry, a CBSA officer can issue her a visitor record if she has done medical, or you can apply for an extension of the visitor visa (visitor record) before the stipulated six months.

The cost of medical in Canada is over 450 CAD, so you want to do it in Nigeria

I hope this answers your question.
Thanks so much! I totally appreciate you! You are a wealth of knowledge and a blessing to this group!

@Bullstriker can you please advise me...I applied for my 2 years old daughter to follow me to canada. I had planned for her to go to daycare and this was mentioned in my letter of explanation. Was talking to someone today and was told it's not a visitor's visa I should have applied for.

Please house, please those that encountered their application profile not showing on the new platform, was this later resolved? Just received IRCC mails and I cannot see the application.
Same happened to me, got a mail saying status has been updated...logged in and nothing still on the page. Don't think you should worry your head. They are having technical issues and will resolve it as soon as possible.

Huh…my school resumed yesterday.
I already deferred to April before I got my study permit approval. Deadline was 16th, I got my approval on 20th and now my passport is yet to be returned so they will just defer my admission till next semester.
Every stage in this Canada sojourn comes with its own hurdle.
I was in same boat as you but luckily I envisaged earlier on that there was no way I was going to beat the deadline so I talked to my school and they advised me on registering for the semester online in a way that I would still reflect as a full time student… so, i’m starting classes online… once I get my passport stamped I can then make plans to travel down without feeling too pressured

Hi guys! Is it true that passports sent to Nairobi are being returned without stamp for study visa's from Nigeria? A friend was saying that it happened to someone in her WhatsApp group....I'm asking because I was going to send mine to Nairobi for speedy resolution as I had to travel with my passport during Christmas so a little delayed

Permit me to vent
Ircc is messing with my mental health. It would have been better if they said their processing time is 15weeks or less! Than stating 9weeks. I don't even know what to say again... school fees paid, my school is resuming in 3 weeks, course registration is ongoing and ending on Tuesday!

Ordered cbsa @6week, returned @8weeks with no news...just medical Passed.

App is over 9weeks now... no eligibility review. Nothing new to give me hope.
My chest is paining me
haha! 9 weeks is nothing...some of us waited for 6 months and above! It's how ircc messes up with our heads

Good morning guys, I have been a silent observer of this thread and never posted but I had to come here and thank everyone for all their help and assistance in getting my PPR!

I got my PPR this morning! Praise God. I had been sent my BVL on the 2nd of December and had been one of those waiting and not getting any response. So, last night I saw one lady's post saying that she had been firing emails and got no response so she fired mails and got a response from London and they included a link for a webform...so I want to all my responses I had gotten from the emails I had been sending and most of them had webforms attached and I sent to every country that responded with a webform link....

these are the email addresses I sent mails to... I did this around midnight.
URGENT NEED FOR FINAL DECISION

At 1.30am I got an automated message from CE CSC do not reply and I knew that I had done something good and I will get a response today. And at 10.00am this morning I got Original Passport request mail.
So, for those who have been waiting since receiving BVL do not give up, fire those emails, fill all the webforms attached in the responses, always mark your messages as urgent , explain your situation and appeal to their empathy. God will do the rest for you!

Timeline
Online application May 30 2022
Medical November 4 2022
BVL December 2 2022
Original Passport request December 14 2022

Hope this helps someone!
