Politics / TERRORISM: PMB, Boris Johnson Vow Not To Interfere In Judicial Process by NASTYNASOSO: 6:46pm On Jul 30, 2021
President Muhammadu Buhari and Prime Minister Boris Johnson of Britain yesterday appraised the war against different forms of terrorism in Nigeria and agreed that judicial processes should allowed to run their course.

Holding bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Global Education Summit in London, the two leaders said it was important that the judicial process runs without interference, no matter who was involved.

LEADERSHIP reports that the above agreement may not be unconnected to the ongoing trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on terrorism and treasonable felony charges among others.
IPOB is demanding a separate state for the Igbo in the South East zone from the Nigerian federation.

The federal government had declared IPOB a terrorist organisation and proceeded to arrest him and put him on trial. He had escaped from Nigeria while on a court bail after a raid on his country home by Nigerian soldiers that allegedly led to some casualties.

Kanu was said to be carrying a British passport when he was intercepted in Kenya and returned to Nigeria to face his trial about two weeks ago.

According to a statement by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, President Buhari also briefed the Prime Minister on Nigeria’s power needs and efforts being made, as well as initiatives geared towards achieving food security.

He also reviewed the security situation in the different regions of the country, while Prime Minister Johnson pledged Britain’s preparedness to lend a hand.

“We are available to help,” the prime minister said.

The two leaders equally discussed how to increase trade between the two countries, develop solar and wind power, leadership of the Commonwealth going forward and other matters of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has welcomed support from the Commonwealth to tackle the numerous challenges facing the country.

Buhari stated this during a bilateral meeting yesterday with Commonwealth Secretary-General, Baroness Patricia Scotland, at the sidelines of the Global Education Summit holding in London, United Kingdom.
Saying Nigeria was doing a lot to address food security through heavy investment in agriculture, and in tackling the security issues confronting the country in different regions, President Buhari, in a statement by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, welcomed the offer of assistance by the Commonwealth scribe.

Baroness Scotland said the Commonwealth had developed programmes on agribusiness, value-addition to agriculture products for young people to get involved, climate change, criminal justice reforms, police reforms and security, as she invited Nigeria to benefit from technical assistance that can be provided.

She added that since President Buhari was the champion for Anti-Corruption in Africa, the Commonwealth has developed anti-corruption benchmark tools and would like to work with Nigeria in both public and private sectors.

Other areas the Commonwealth could assist, according to Baroness Scotland, include countering violent extremism, trade, and modalities to implement the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

In another development, Buhari has said no Nigerian parent jokes with education as they know that if their children or wards missed the opportunity of being educated, they have missed a lot.

Speaking during a panel session yesterday at the Global Education Summit in London, the President, in a statement by his media aide, Femi Adesina, said the size and population of Nigeria are challenges for any administration, but that despite this, the government and people realise that education is the starting point for success.

President Buhari said, “You can’t succeed outside your educational qualification. Anybody who missed education has missed everything. Nigerians are acutely aware of the priority of education, and parents are making sacrifices to ensure that their children and wards get educated.”

On the panel with President Buhari were Presidents Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana, Faure Gnassingbe of Togo, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi.

Each president spoke about the peculiarities of the education sector of his country, and how budgetary provisions would be increased to ameliorate the situation. They all raised their hands as a sign of commitment to that resolution.

President Buhari had earlier committed to raising the budget for education by 50 percent in the next two years, rising to 100 percent increase by 2025.

Politics / DSS List Allegations Against Sunday Igboho by NASTYNASOSO: 11:16am On Jul 24, 2021
DSS LISTS ALLEGATIONS AGAINST SUNDAY IGBOHO

*You declared on VIDEO "Yoruba Nation" and raised a flag.

*You boasted on VIDEO that you will open all borders in the Southwest because they now fall under your declared nation.

*Your supporters with the banners having your picture and chant of your name invaded Idiroko border, disarmed customs officers and beat them up on livestream VIDEO.

*You never came up with any form of disclaimer VIDEO or AUDIO at least to prove that those supporters acted not on your instruction.

*You also on VIDEO urge some group of men to pick up arms and you said even if these men don't know where to get those arm, you will get it for them. You urge them to record what you are saying on video because no one can tell you not to pick up arms.

*You threatened on VIDEO that if 1000 security agent dare come for you, only 100 will be fortunate to survive.

*DSS got a hint that those arms and ammunition collected from customs officers at Idiroko border are in your house.

*Your house was raided by the DSS.

*One of your supporters (Lady K) who passed the night in your residence made a live stream VIDEO as at the hour the raid was ongoing and said with the words of her mouth that the Nigerian Military were in your residence shooting.

*Lady K said with the words of her mouth on live stream VIDEO that "Our Warriors too are presently 'fighting back' the military.
(This statement alone will be used against you in court because it authenticates the fact that you and your supporters were actually armed)

*Lady K on live stream VIDEO called on other Yoruba Nation Warriors to come to their rescue by attacking the military from behind and make sure none of them is spared (Oku le l'eja nta).

*The DSS/Military power arm subdued that of your 'warriors'.

*Your 'warriors' were paraded on VIDEO together with the arms and ammunition they stole from Customs officers at Idiroko border. Also your phones and PASSPORT were displayed

*Two of your warriors fell to the bullets during the course of "fighting back" (according to Lady k's recorded account) the military.

*You escaped during the course of gun exchange between your 'warriors and the DSS"

*The word 'escape' was used because you said on PHONE CALL with the BBC that you were at home and saw the DSS/Military officers through your window calling you to surrender yourself.

*You were declared wanted by the state on VIDEO and also advised to report your self to the nearest police station.

*You went into hiding for 19 days and was captured like chicken while you were trying to sneak your way out of Africa through Benin Republic airport

*Lastly, it is also reported that you got a passport fraudulently in Benin Republic. Of course, you were left with only such option because the DSS already displayed your passport and that means it's in their custody.

The Video links to all the above events are also attached to this write up so that all your supporters celebrating your 'Lori Iro' release & departure to Germany will know how deep you are in trouble.

Politics / Re: Tinubu Family Takes Possession Of Land With 50 Houses In Surulere Lagos by NASTYNASOSO: 10:34am On Jul 20, 2021
Redoil:
they should have taken over the entire lagos
Is Ghana among the most peaceful countries in Africa? Why?
There are various reasons why Ghana is amongst the top 10 most peaceful countries in Africa.

1 - Ghana is 50% Akan, descendants of ancient farming societies who generally were a peaceful bunch.

2 - Although the Akan are the majority, they do not abuse the other minority tribes.

3 - Ghana is predominately a Christian country. In comparison to the Muslim countries that surround them, Ghana has managed to contain Islamic militants and nomadic groups that often try and disrupt the peace in West Africa.

4 - The Ghanaian government doesn't sponsor terrorism. On the other hand, the government of some other African countries have their hands deep in terrorism. For example, the Nigerian government (primarily run by Fulani Muslims) is tribalistic and actively engages in state-sponsored terrorism to kill various other ethnic groups (who are primarily farmers). Farmers are not safe in Nigeria. The government is importing various Fulani nomads from across Africa to take the land of our farmers. This has triggered food shortages and an insane amount of violence.

5 - The Muslim groups in Ghana are not as brainless as the ones in Nigeria. The Hausa people in Nigeria have for far too long, protected and sympathized with the Fulani nomadic groups (known for being terrorists who invaded West Africa from the north) because the Fulanis were also Muslim.

The Hausa in Ghana are not as weak. They don’t tolerate the Fulani groups as easily as those in Nigeria. Generally speaking, Ghanaians don’t tolerate violence and they certainly wont tolerate the violence carried out by nomadic groups that have destroyed Nigeria (and are trying to destroy the entire West African sub-region). Nigeria, Mali, Central African Republic and parts of Cameroon are currently being destroyed by these nomadic groups.

6 - Ghanaians are very observant of their country’s happenings. When crimes are committed, they talk about it all over social media and rant. Unlike Nigerians, they don’t turn a blind eye to crimes. Nigerians are more selfish. They only care when crimes directly affect them. They are also more tribalistic and don’t care when crimes are committed against other tribes.

7 - Ghanaian military is less corrupt than other West African countries. A few years ago, a group of cattle nomads from outside Ghana tried to annihilate villagers in their farms. The Ghanaian army was swift to catch those criminals and killed them and their cows.

Innocent cows are getting killed because the only language their nomadic owners understand is brutality. It’s 2021 and they don’t want to set up ranches like most civilised nations. They want to roam around, destroy our farming lands, kill innocent people, and be pests to others.

Also, because many of these cattle nomads are black Muslims who are mixed with Berbers. They feel they are above black people and refuse to obey laws in lands ruled by black people.

They never ever try and invade lands in North Africa (where their Arab/Berber masters live). Their terrorist acts are always against the blacks.

Since the Ghanaian military took action against them, they haven’t tried their nonsense in Ghana. But we know cattle nomads love revenge. We know they are secretly plotting revenge. Revenge killings are part of their DNA.

That’s why West Africans must keep both eyes open for these enemies of our blessed fertile lands who are secretly plotting to destroy our peace

Politics / Boko HARAM VS Religion Of Islam by NASTYNASOSO: 11:51pm On Jul 15, 2021
BOKO HARAM VS RELIGION OF ISLAM

1. The Boko Haram kidnapped girls and forced them to change their religion.
While
Islam says: “Let there be no compulsion in religion.....” (Qur’an 2:256)

2. The Boko Haram have forcefully married off girls.
While
Islam says: ".....Do not inherit women against their will....." (Qur’an 4:19)

3. The Boko Haram are aggressive towards those who do not follow their beliefs.
While
Islam says: “IF IT HAD BEEN YOUR LORD’S WILL, all of the people on Earth would have believed [in one religion]….” (Quran 10:99)

4. The Boko Haram have murdered thousands of Muslims and Christians alike in cold blood.
While
Islam says: “….If any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people...” (Quran 5:32)

5. The Boko Haram use the cover of Islam to commit their mayhem and claim they are doing ALLAH'S work or JIHAD (HOLY WAR).
While
Islam says: “…… BUT DO NOT TRANSGRESS LIMITS; FOR GOD LOVES NOT TRANSGRESSORS.” (Qur’an 2:190)"

6. The Boko Haram believes once you are not with them you are an enemy to them.
While
Islam says: “O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other)......” (Quran 49:13)

7. The Boko Haram have unleashed tyranny and indecency in the land.
While
Islam says: “God commands justice and doing good and giving to relatives. And He forbids indecency and doing wrong and tyranny....” (Quran 16:90)

Finally, upon all their false claims its clear to see that Boko Haram do not represent Islam in any way because, they are acting against it

Please Note that Boko Haram Are Terrorists,
They Don't practice any Religion
Business / Dangote Acquires 2,500 Trucks For Cement, Fertiliser Distribution by NASTYNASOSO: 2:28am On Jul 13, 2021
Dangote Industries, on Sunday, announced with an investment of $150m, it took delivery of 2500 trucks to improve cement and urea distribution across its businesses.

According to a statement from the company, Dangote Cement Plc acquired 2000 trucks, trailers, bulk tankers, tippers, cargo trucks and bulk cement tankers that are expected to increase the demand for transportation of cement across the country and create employment for over 4,000 people in Nigeria, just as the company plans to commission its new cement plant in Okpella, Edo State, in a few weeks.

Dangote Fertiliser, on the other hand, took delivery of 500 trucks from Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited, a joint venture between Dangote Industries Limited and Sinotruk China, for the distribution of urea to different States in Nigeria.

The Group Executive Director, Logistics and Distribution, Dangote Industries Limited, Alhaji Abdu Dantata, was quoted as saying, “We have acquired the new trucks in line with our new expansion capacity in Obajana, Ibese, Gboko and the new cement plant at Okpella.

“The acquisition is due to the growing needs of the business, especially as regards the increased trucking demands encountered lately, due to the surge in the demand for cement.”

He added, “The establishment of our clinker export terminals at Apapa and Onne Port led to the purchase of heavy-duty tippers for haulage of clinker from the plants to the terminals.

“The introduction of these trucks would improve customers’ demand, improve on job creation in the country, as well as promote the economic development of Nigeria.”

Dantata disclosed that the company took seriously the issue of safety of truck drivers and road users, which necessitated collaboration between the Federal Road Safety Corps and the company to attain zero tolerance to road crashes in the country.

He said the company had embarked on adequate training on effective driving techniques.

According to him, the collaboration involves recertification of drivers, pre-trip and post-trip inspection, drug test, real-time tracking of vehicles, root cause analysis, convoy movement, checkpoint policy and sanctions among several others.

Politics / Re: FG Launches 1.52MW Solar Plant For Federal Ministry Of Works And Housing HQ by NASTYNASOSO: 8:09pm On Jul 06, 2021
presidency:
Your Excellency Mr. President, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of my colleague, the Honourable Minister of State for Works and Housing, Engineer Abubakar D. Aliyu, the serving and previous Permanent Secretaries, serving and previous directors and members of staff of the Ministry of Works and Housing, I am delighted to welcome you to this commissioning ceremony.

This project was approved by the Federal Executive Council on the 20th March 2019 at the time when the Ministry of Power was part of Works and Housing. I express our Ministry's appreciation to members of the Federal Executive Council who voted to entrust our Ministry with this project.
What we have delivered, based on the mandate of the Federal Executive Council, is a 1.52 MegaWatts Solar System that will provide uninterrupted power supply to 5 blocks housing the Ministry of Works and Housing and Ministry of Environment and Lands.

This project employed 382 artisans and 176 skilled workers throughout its duration, in fulfilment of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) of creating jobs.

It would see to the reduction of average diesel consumption from 764,248 litres per annum to 166,825 litres per annum and cost saving of NGN270,945,000 over 20 years and contribute towards the reduction of government operational expenses and reduction of recurrent expenditure.

It has led to the upgrade and retrofitting of our electrical appliances by replacing 400 old Air-conditioning units with 400 new inverter-based energy efficient Air-conditioning units and replacing 2600 old light fittings with energy efficient LED ones all of which are energy saving because they consume 40% less energy.

In terms of local content...
Our contract engages 5 (Five) STEM candidates to work throughout the solar PV lifecycle of this project in the following roles:
a. Two (2) candidates got trained in engineering design;
b. Two (2) candidates got trained in project construction;
c. One candidate got trained in engineering project management.

With this investment we have built our own Mini-Grid, in consonance with our Administration’s policy to promote off grid option, thereby making more of the on-grid power available to ordinary Nigerians who cannot afford the cost of investing in off-grid power.
To our contractor, I express deep appreciation for the efficient execution and more importantly for the sacrifice to complete this project in spite of the wide disparity between the foreign exchange rates in 2019 when the project was awarded and now, notwithstanding high importation costs of the parts.

Permit me sir, to also acknowledge two young people who were part of this project at different stages from inception to completion.

Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi and Engr. Femi Akinyelure, whom your Excellency appointed to the Rural Electrification Agency both of whom, with their colleagues, were involved in the energy audit and design of this project.

They represent the positive impact of youth involvement in public service; and of course, I cannot forget Engr. Julius Olurinola, our Director of Engineering Services, whose role I liken to that of a midwife, supervising, monitoring and reporting the progress of this project from incubation to delivery.

All I need now say is that other government buildings can follow this path and our team will be most enthusiastic to provide the support, and share our experiences and lessons learned, working with the Ministry of Power.

Your Excellency Mr. President, I have the pleasure to now invite you sir, to perform the official commissioning of the 1.52 MegaWatts Solar Power project to provide uninterrupted power to your staff in the Ministry of Works and Housing and Environment to improve their working conditions.

Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN

Aisha Blast Buhari Over Rearrest of Nnamdi Kanu
GoldenNewsNg reports that Aisha Yesufu, a popular Nigerian activist has wondered how Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was extradited from the United Kingdom without a legal tussle.

This online news platform has earlier reported how Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested by the Nigerian authorities after over two years of man-hunting.

The IPOB leader was said to have been arrested by a combined team of Nigerian and foreign security agents in a coordinated interception.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, disclosed this on Tuesday, at an emergency media briefing.

Many Nigerians are now asking questions on how the United Kingdom, where Nnamdi Kanu was said to have been all along, can deport him so fast even as a British citizen.

“Extradited without a fight? Or am I the one that missed the legal tussle? The law of the lid is real!” Aisha tweeted.

“Their courts are independent not like our own that you can go shopping for judgment,” she noted.

“It took years before Abu Hamza was extradited to US. See the case of Abu Hamza, Khalid Al Fawaz, Abdel Bary, Babar Ahmad, Talha Ahsan and Secretary of State for the Home Department.”

47ureports.com is aware of the start of talks between the group led by Dr. Ezeife and the leader of IPOB. The talks started a little over a month ago – coinciding with the halt in the activities of the unknown gun men across the south south and south east regions. Our source reveals that the leader of IPOB agreed to halt all activities of the Eastern Security Network [ESN] for the period of the negotiation. The ESN is the security offshoot of IPOB. According to the IPOB mantra, the ESN is to rid the south south and south east regions of all “killer Fulani herdsmen”.

Although available information remains sketchy, it was learnt that Nnamdi Kanu was talked into meeting with selected group of negotiators. He was to meet them at a neutral location. The identities of the group are not immediately available to 247ureports.com.

Politics / Kano Economic City One Of The Largest Multi-billion Naira Business Hubs In West by NASTYNASOSO: 10:22am On Jun 28, 2021
Kano Economic City -one of the largest multi-billion naira business hubs in West Africa and a major economic driver of the ancient city will be commissioned in three weeks.

The Kano Economic City, also known as Kanawa International Market, is sitting on 117.2 hectares at the angular confluence of Zaria Road and Maiduguri Road.

The project is a Public-Private Partnership between Kano State Government (which provided the land) and Brains and Hammers Limited (developer), with Jaiz Bank as the financier. The project’s risks have been appropriately shared in a bid to ensure successful delivery and use of the market by traders and customers alike.

The President, Brains and Hammers, Umar Aliyu, gave the nod for the project’s commissioning when he visited the site recently. He said the Economic City was ready for business and traders were eager to see the market taking off.

Two of the pharmaceutical units and the GSM section, comprising 4,000 shops, are the first to be commissioned. It was gathered the pharmaceutical section is a federal initiative on drugs, primarily to control its movement and abuse. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) which is responsible for regulating and controlling the manufacture, importation, exportation, distribution, sale and use of drugs has an office at KEC to check counterfeit and expired drugs. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), charged to eliminate the manufacturing and sale of hard drugs, also has a branch at the market.

Project Director Dr. Abdullahi Hadejia Gambo said a Regulatory Office -an edifice housing NAFDAC, NDLEA, Standard Organisation of Nigeria, Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria and all the regulatory agencies will also be commissioned.

It was gathered this development has excited Pharm. Gidado Yusuf, who is the chairman of the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP) in Kano State. NAIP recently held its annual symposium on drug abuse, with the theme: ‘Drug Abuse in the Era of COVID-19: Roles of Pharmacists and Regulatory Agencies,’ its effects, challenges and how to render technical support to eradicate the menace. The Kano Economic City is bid to crackdown on clients of illicit drugs to reduce the menace.

“The pavilion for the GSM unit has been fenced and is also ready for commissioning,” Dr. Gambo said, noting that the Kano Economic City concept has been developed on the epithet: Work, Play and Live, making sure the trader is a professional and he or she owns the shop, of which he can work or trade and pay daily.

Ready for commissioning is also the half kilometer dual six carriageway from the Zaria expressway linking the market. The road has drainage on both sides, a walkway, and a bridge, Gambo said.

When this writer visited the KEC, he noticed the trailer/bus park of 250 capacity had been expanded. Gambo explained that a quarter of the capacity of the park is being built with a service center made up of worship centers, restaurants, bank automated teller machines (ATMs), and a general refreshing area, to open now, as instructed by the president of Brains and Hammers Limited.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said Kano is an industrial and commercial nerve center of northern Nigeria and some West African countries. Because of the state’s burgeoning population, markets in the city are becoming inaccessible so the best way is to find a site on the outskirts of Kano and develop a world-class modern market.

Explaining the reason for establishing such a gigantic trade center, Ganduje said: “We want to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, traders, and business tycoons to have easy access to world-class infrastructure befitting of a modern marketplace. The essence is to harness product value-chain opportunities and improve economic growth.”

KEC represents the largest economic hub in Northern Nigeria, designed as an architectural focal reference point for major market development projects within West Africa. It was learnt that the master plan of the Kano Economic City was laid out in a pattern inspired by the Arewa logo, which symbolises the unity of the North.

The market, with 13,000 shops, has trailer and passenger motor parks, conference centre, amusement park, educational institute, banks, petrol stations, hotels and motels, medical facilities and malls, among other ancillary facilities.

There are power supply and distribution, street lighting, 24-hour security, telecommunications ducts and other essential plug and play facilities that typify an efficient trade community.

Kano is one of Nigeria’s major industrial states and business melting pot for northern traders for over a century. But the coming of KEC will open a new vista in cross-border/country trade.

The Kano Economic City Board Chairman, Mallam Muhammed Aliyu, said the market has been developed in three phases.

The phase one, Aliyu said, is made up of 1,000 units of the duplex, luxury and basic shops dedicated to pharmaceutical wholesalers, and another 3,000 units of shops designed for the information technology section, to be called ‘GSM Village.’

“KEC is an appropriately-timed project in Kano State, necessitated by the quantum of commercial activities and cross-border trades facilitated through the state.

“These commercial activities have substantially outgrown existing market facilities and as such dense congestion of the markets and its environs accelerate wear and tear on existing infrastructure.

“This has led to huge financial losses emanating from uncontrollable fire outbreaks and other menaces which occur almost on an annual basis in recent time,” Aliyu said.

Each shop at KEC is planned to be self-sustaining in terms of fire outbreaks. That is, if fire guts a shop, it will not engulf the neighbouring shop. The power supply is sourced from the national grid, connected through underground cables. There is provision for solar power supply too. The market is built with dedicated staircases and toilets that provide a unique solution for modern-day business operations.

The last purpose-built market in Kano state was implemented in the 1980s. The project developer, Brains and Hammers, said it was from that point of development, job creation, and commerce enhancement that it decided to partner the Kano state government to develop the Kano Economic City.

The Kano Economic City is built, not just as an economic hub, but an Export Processing Zone (EPZ), with well-crafted components that include 80,000 square meters of Mega Wholesale and Retail warehouses.

The developer said the project has primarily targeted Kano traders who will grab the opportunity to expand their trades in KEC, which sits in a strategic location, providing excellent infrastructure, heavy clientele traffic potential – local, regional and international patronage, and easy accessibility.

“Traders would be excited about shop ownership in a market that provides a desirable ambiance and offers significant levels of market dominance and a sense of trade distinction within the Kano trader community.

“While the primary target market is Kano, KEC would unequivocally serve other traders in Nigeria and across West Africa whose business value chain activities interlink with Kano markets.

“The project possesses all infrastructural requisite to ensure functionality, with all amenities that typify a community that has a knack for optimal quality and excellence,” KEC Chairman Aliyu said.

This writer gathered that all the building materials used in the project were sourced locally. All the engineers and workers are Nigerians. “This is to encourage and promote ours and as well prevent capital flight,” the project director Gambo said.

Ganduje said: “We have gone around the world to see different shopping malls. We have seen the Dubai shopping malls, the Emirates shopping malls and the China shopping malls. Then we said let us have something in Kano similar or better than what we have seen abroad.

“And it is because of our political will and commitment that we are actualizing the development of the Kano Economic City, which when commissioned, will be the best economic city in the country.”

The governor explained that the Kano Economic City would silently tackle insecurity in the Kano-Jigawa axis by creating thousands of jobs for the army of unemployed youths in the region. This will go a long way to addressing crime and other social vices. Ganduje said the international market will generate huge revenues (IGR) for the state which would be used for developmental purposes, as part of his administration’s agenda to transform Kano to a megacity.

Kano Economic City is another wonderland proving all necessary goods for buyers to grab with ease and pleasure, with every customer’s itinerary, at the same time reminding them of the rich cultural heritage of Kano State.

Politics / Dangote Fertilizer To Begin Export To US, Brazil Later This Month by NASTYNASOSO: 9:44pm On Jun 23, 2021
Dangote Group has concluded plans to begin the export of its first shipment of fertilizer from its new fertilizer plant at the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos, to the US and Brazil.

Initial shipment from one of the world’s biggest fertilizer plant, which has the capacity to produce 3 million tonnes of urea and ammonia per year, is expected to start in late June or early July.

The billionaire chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, said this while speaking at a virtual economic forum hosted in Qatar on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, according to Reuters.

What the President of Dangote Group is saying
Aliko Dangote said that the new fertilizer plant will export its first shipment in late June or early July, to Louisiana, while the majority of exports from the plant are expected to go to Brazil, adding that it will also be able to supply all the major markets in sub-Saharan Africa.

He said, “Apart from meeting the domestic demand, we are going to be able to earn quite a lot of money exporting the goods to the South American countries.”

A lot of Nigerians believe that the fertilizer plant will help solve the problem of low crop yield in the country, which is partly due to insufficient access to fertilizer.

What you should know
Mr Devakumar Edwin, Group Executive Director (Strategy, Capital Projects & Portfolio Development) of Dangote Industries Limited had about a week ago, said that the $2.5 billion fertilizer plant, which recently commenced operations can produce enough for local demand as it looks towards exports. He said that the plant currently delivers 120 trucks locally.

According to the World Bank, Nigeria consumed around 20 kg of fertiliser per hectare of arable land in 2018, compared with 73 kg in South Africa and 393 kg in China.

The Central Bank of Nigeria had banned the allocation of its foreign exchange for fertiliser imports as part of controls aimed at boosting local production.
