Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Are Foreign Organizations Rejecting Nigerians Applying For Remote Jobs? by naturalwaves: 8:11am On Oct 14, 2025 |
That was just a generic reason. I got same too. Some colleagues from Nigeria got the job. Just keep on trying. A colleague got similar mails this year about two times, but recently she got taken for A levels. Another colleague got taken for English and would be paid more than 5 pounds per paper. She is supposed to mark 214 papers, that's almost 3 million naira. Keep trying and always apply early whenever you check the dashboard. |

Education › Re: Royal Triple Dee School In Ibeju-lekki Is A Scam by naturalwaves: 6:45am On Sep 29, 2025 |
FunbiRTDS: Rebuttal to False Claims Against Royal Triple Dee Schools, Ibeju-Lekki It has come to our attention that certain unfounded accusations have been made against Royal Triple Dee Schools, Ibeju-Lekki, regarding alleged examination malpractice. We categorically refute these claims and present the facts for clarity: 1. Established Track Record: Royal Triple Dee Schools has been in existence since 2012, with a consistent record of academic excellence and integrity. Over the years, our students have excelled in both internal and external examinations, gaining admission into reputable universities across Nigeria. 2. WAEC & BECE Integrity Until 2025, our students wrote their WAEC examinations externally, as the school only received official WAEC accreditation last year. Our very first internally conducted WAEC took place in 2025. It is therefore impossible for the alleged malpractice claims spanning previous years to be true. 3. Independent External Success Beyond WAEC and BECE, our students have gone on to successfully pass JAMB and Post-UTME, these exams are completely independent of Royal Triple Dee Schools. Admission into Nigerian universities through these channels is strictly merit-based. Many of our alumni are currently undergraduates, graduates, and even completing their NYSC service year. 4. Commitment After WAEC Accreditation After receiving WAEC accreditation, the school was approached by several external candidates seeking to register through us. To preserve our academic integrity, all such requests were screened with internal tests, and some applicants were firmly rejected. This underlines our zero-tolerance stance on malpractice. 5. Evidence of Genuine Excellence Our students have consistently demonstrated excellence within and outside the classroom. Notable achievements include: o Third Best Placement Exam Performance: Royal Triple Dee Schools was ranked 3rd best school (Ibeju-Lekki) in the Lagos State Common Entrance (Placement Exam), as published by the Lagos State Exam Board. o National Recognition in Spelling Competitions: We reached the finals of the 16th Edition of the Spell Africa competition, competing against top schools from across Nigeria. o Environmental Innovation: We proudly participated in the Eco Recycle Project by the Lekki Free Trade Zone, with our project featured alongside 15 other schools in Ibeju-Lekki. o University Success: Many of our alumni are excelling in fields such as Civil Engineering, Pharmacy, Physics, Accounting, Psychology and other professional disciplines at various Nigerian universities including University of Lagos, Lagos State University, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, University of Ilorin. o National Ranking in Competitions: Over the years, our students have participated in national competitions and consistently earned recognition, reinforcing our culture of hard work and achievement.
6. Commitment to Standards Our school maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards examination malpractice. We uphold integrity, discipline, and quality education as our core values. The consistent academic achievements of our students speak louder than baseless allegations. 7. Condemnation of Unethical Conduct We strongly condemn the malicious act of publishing personal pictures of the school’s proprietor and her daughter alongside these false accusations. Such actions are not only unprofessional but also a violation of privacy, intended to incite ridicule and personal attacks rather than engage in constructive discourse. We urge members of the public to focus on verifiable facts and not be swayed by attempts to tarnish personal reputations. For avoidance of doubt, all information about our operations, approvals, and academic track record can be independently verified at our school premises: Triple Dee Close, Baba Adisa Bus Stop, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. Royal Triple Dee Schools remains committed to raising disciplined, knowledgeable, and responsible leaders of tomorrow. Point 1- No evidence , nothing. Point 2 - The fact that WASSCE was written externally does not imply that there couldn't have been exam malpractice. Moreover, you did not state anything about BECE. Point 3 - You should have provided further details and records. Passing UTME and co does not again, imply that the school has academic integrity. Or are you saying that exam malpractices do not take place in such as well? Point 4: No evidence Point 5 - Evidence if genuine excellence with no concrete evidence to show. What the hell is Spell Africa? That mushroom spelling bee competition? Point 6 - What are the constant academic achievements? Point 7 - It was wrong to have posted the picture. Why did you not address other issues that were raised? Why is staff attrition so high? Why don't you pay your staff as and when due as claimed. PS- I'm not saying which if the sides is correct, but this your rebuttal did not do justice. Something seems fishy. |

Phones › Re: Overheating + Lag After Some Months: Why Do Our Phones Struggle Over Time? by naturalwaves: 7:04am On Sep 01, 2025 |
StellaGirlie: I’ve noticed a common trend with many smartphones, especially in Nigeria. When you first buy a new device, everything feels perfect, fast, smooth, reliable. But give it a few months and suddenly the story changes. The same phone that once ran like lightning starts showing signs of stress. It overheats easily, lags when you open apps, gaming becomes almost impossible, and even basic multitasking feels like a burden.
Why does this happen so often? Is it just the way phones are designed these days or are brands cutting corners?
Some possible reasons people usually point out:
1. Software Optimization – Many brands seem to focus only on the launch software. After some months, updates either slow the phone down or don’t come at all. Without proper optimization, the phone just can’t keep up.
2. Mid-range Processors – A lot of affordable or mid-tier devices use processors that perform well initially but can’t handle long-term use, especially with heavy apps, social media, and games getting bigger every year.
3. Heat Management – Nigeria is already hot, and if a phone doesn’t have good cooling technology, it overheats quickly. Once a phone starts heating up, performance usually drops.
4. Planned Obsolescence? – Some people believe brands make phones this way on purpose, so users feel forced to upgrade after a year or two.
Personally, I feel both software updates and heat management are areas that really need improvement. A good phone shouldn’t feel “old” after just 6–8 months of use. If laptops can last for years, why should phones age so fast?
So I’m throwing the question out:
Have you experienced overheating and lag after a few months of buying a phone?
Do you think it’s more of a hardware issue (processor, cooling system) or a software issue (updates, optimization)?
Which brands or models have disappointed you the most with this problem?
And on the positive side, which phones have lasted the longest for you without showing these issues?
At the end of the day, phones are expensive, and not everyone can afford to change devices every year. If brands want to win the trust of Nigerians, they really need to focus on performance longevity, a phone should remain fast, stable, and reliable for at least 2–3 years.
What do you guys think? Let’s talk. Wait for your fellow Realme marketers to come and respond and tell us how the Realme is the next best thing after sliced bread. You will all soon start responding to yourselves. |

Pronigerian33: Thanks for ur advice brother, there was a student of mine that likes the way i teach her alot, she is from JSS1 actually, without me knowing she informed her dad about how she is improving academically, so her dad call and invite me to his house. I was curious at first wondering what is wrong? Wen i went there he explained things to me and offer me to be there lesson teacher, but not only her including her 4 siblings (Making 5). I have to be going to his house 5 times a week and he offered me 10k salary, i started as at March but after two months i have to quit.
My reason was the stress is too much, for me honestly speaking because as of dat time i work from 7am to 2pm and from 6pm to 8pm. All for 25k if i sum it up. Bro! I've gone through your texts and I feel for you. As a teacher, it's essential to focus on self-improvement. For instance, refining your writing skills can boost your professional image. I've noticed some areas for improvement in your writing, such as inconsistent tense usage, and I'd encourage you to work on these aspects to enhance your overall writing quality. Before seeking new opportunities, consider upskilling yourself. Familiarise yourself with various curricula like NERDC, Cambridge, and IB. Enhance your tech skills and work on your spoken English. With the remaining months of the year, invest in learning and growth. If you're open to guidance, I'd be happy to mentor you. Let's work together to improve your skills and prospects. The poverb 'na as goat take stand for market dem dey take price am' suggests that your worth is determined by how you present yourself. |

I also have "Essential Physics"; a parody and trash of what a textbook should be. So what can I get to help teach for WAEC, NECO and UTME please. What you said about Essential Physics is incorrect. It takes a straight to the point approach and that does not make it bad. Try and get THE SCIENCE PHYSICS by Afolabi J.R It is not so detailed like what you're looking for but it goes straight to the point and will do a good job. |

tunjijones: ****** N400,000 divide by 3 = 133,333.33 133,333.33 multiple by 12(1 year) = 1,600,000.
1,600,000 x 5years (duration of the loan) = 8,000,000.
Someone earning 400,000 is eligible to 8 million naira.
So it means the person will be earning 266,680.00 every month after deduction of the loan. It has a one year moratorium. This means there is a one year grace period or loan holiday.
The smart ones will take the loan and do business or build house. The take home is different from gross. The person you initially quoted seems to be using the net pay for the calculation. |

Gone are the days people used to Respect and admire Teachers. Today, teachers are the Most Mistreated, disrespected and neglected profession especially in Nigeria. Ladies are unwilling to get married to a man who is a teacher because they are perceived as being poor and always broke. Teachers aren't sufficiently renumerated in today's Nigeria.

Phones › Re: The Phone I Bought Because I Was Tired Of Charging 3 Times A Day by naturalwaves: 9:22pm On Jun 29, 2025 |
Desewa08: Let me confess. I didn’t buy my current phone because of camera or design. I bought it out of frustration. I was tired. Tired of watching my battery bar drop like a Lagos traffic light. Tired of carrying my charger like it was an extension of my body. Tired of switching off my data to "save small battery" and don’t get me started on charging it 3 times before evening and it still dying when I needed it most 😩 It wasn’t just battery, that phone used to heat like I was frying plantain on it. Slow charging, lagging apps, video calls that sounded like robotic jazz… I suffered. Out of pure annoyance, I decided to try something different and a friend recommended any of realme's devices. Didn’t expect much tbh. The name even sounded like one of those cheap Androids you buy with fear in your heart. But that battery? Omo. That was the first thing I noticed. It lasted the whole day. I thought it was a fluke. Then the next day, same thing. I was charging once. Just once. I’m not saying it’s the “best phone in the world” but if you’ve ever had battery trauma, you’ll understand the peace this one has given me 😭🙏🏾.
Let me ask you: -What’s the worst battery experience you’ve ever had with a phone? -And which brand gave you the most shocking upgrade (good or bad)? Let’s gist. I'll be in the comments The marketing strategy from all these realme ambassadors and marketers is getting boring and annoying. Even before reading, I knew you were going to type a realme. Please, look for other strategies to market your phones. This method of replying yourselves (you and your cohorts) on a thread is already boring and annoying enough. |
