Of coz one has to understand the issues before solutions can be suggested.

But to assume that there is a singular cause of the problem is indicative of no appreciation of the situation.

The schools, the students, the parents, the exam body, the ministry of education, the electricity distribution company, the values we have as a country where a random skit maker who does ‘kiss or grab’ is richer than ten professors combined, the government, the media, the groups that give #10,000 to best performing students, and more than hundred million to some reality star, or millions to some instagram twerking Queen or some portable to serve as influencers. Those who have suggested that this generation of young people is some gen z nonsense and that their aspiration should be Ilebaye, the churches and mosques, the financial insecurity, the insecurity of lives, the dissatisfied lots of teachers whose earning only motivate them to show up in school and not make further efforts. And even much more.

From CP to IG? Impossible.

AIG are always next inline to be IGP. That is the more reason all DIGs are retired immediately. Because it is improper for their junior colleague to overtake them.

On another note. I think this is frank MBA second or third promotion in the space of 3months. Retirement is calling. His promotion to DIG is more of a reward for his contribution to the force. Once this IGP retire, and a new IGP is selected from AIGs, all the DIGs retires immediately including Frank Mba.
