rusher14: So let's say you were still living in penury till this time. What would have been your opinion of Oyedepo?
What if you had been sitting on your behind waiting for manna?
Thing is, God is not a slot machine. So stop making Him out to be.
...is it only oyedepo God has to take care of the poor? How many of you here think of the poor when you go out to buy cars and other things as such as you need? However this man of God has and is still continuing to be a source of material blessings to lot of poor and deprived people, have been a beneficiary at one point before God changed my life. Hundreds of thousands of students are on his schorlaship every year. That he doesnt call press conference to announce this doesnt mean he isnt doing it. Many of you critics here what have you done with your life? Your money? Except to talk, thats all you do.

deathmen12: I expect Gowon to know better
No sane nation on this planet negotiates with terrorists
You can't kill security representatives of a state even if you are a member of that state& expect a pat on the back
In America, cop killers are hunted down viciously
I'm not a fan boy of OBJ but he got the Odi and Zaki Biam calls right
True, the military were heavy handed in their response [they should be better trained on how to flush out insurgents in communities without collateral damage for we see similar tactics in the BH areas]but did you hear soldiers or policemen been killed in those places afterward? huh huh
Ebele should go shut up and sit down
Was it not after the the military came to Odi he and his then boss [Alams] were able to enter the town?
Let him stick to eating his fish peppersoup till May 2015 cool cool

MAYBE U DONT HAVE ANY IDEAL OF WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. DID YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO WIPE OUT A GENERATION JUST BECAUSE YOU WHAT TO STOP SOME GROUP OF MILITANTS? HOW WILL U FEEL WHEN U COME BACK HOME ONE DAY, YOUR MUM AND YOUR DAD HAS BE KILLED BECAUSE OF THE CRIME OF YOU YOUNGER BROTHER? (BRO THINK)
....i will feel bad. But the crime of my younger brother is also the crime of my parents and of me, it shows how irresponsible we have been in raising him. I would gladly die too. In ancient societies, when a man commits treason, not only is he killed but also his family up to three generations! Even God before jesus came said he would visit the sins of the father upon the children up to the 7th generations! Lesson, lets build better families we would have a better nation.

inufele2: Igbos need to do some soul searching, their attitude of arrogance, pride and feeling superior to others will continue to annihilate them.
....even here on nairaland you can see that arrogance, pride and feeling of superiority to others. However kudos to the peace loving yorubas, who despite knowing of the deep seated hatred of the ibo for her, still continue to tolerate the ibos and allow them live and flourish in their lands.

babies in spiritual things runs their mouth anyhow against anointed men of GOD, oh you say am foolish to believe sucj things? dont worry when you begin to reap curses left right centre its then you will know you dont just open your mouth and talk, and to you who are so angered about oyedepo's wealth, why dont you go and start a church too, i think you called it business centre, go and start and see whether is like your ordinary secular business, why do you think millions flock to his churches in nigeria, oh they bury cow? go and bury one too and let see how your church grows. really if its all about opening business and burying cows/ why isnt everybody a pastor, why arent all pastor successful, and i wonder somebody said oedepo church members are poor, really?how did they contribute to buy jets, and all those other stuffs? do you know how many rich people that man has raised? do you valentine obi, the ceo, of e-transact is a member of that church?do you know he got the idea for etransact while sitted in one of the services?do you know he believes he would have been nothing except for oyedepo?and you know something he isnt the only there are many more like him, hundreds of thousands, and am one of them! proudly one whose life had no direction until i met this man, thats why keep giving him our money if he likes let him buy jet we are ok, we are giving to him out of what he gave to us in the first and you can go an enter sea if that doesnt pleases you, and i tell you over a 100000 worshippers at winners chapel dont give a damn about what you think of this man, he has impacted there life, instaed of rambling your mouths ask yourself how can i use my life to be a blessing to others, the greatest investment in life is investment in people, the dividend pays more than stock or gold, you dont have to be a pastor to do that, lift people up and see how when they are lifted they start touching your life back, if they are not ungrateful, say what you like about this man God loves him, and you?he loves you but he is just wondering, dosomething with your life and stop abusing my servant who is doing things, oh you want to start a church?go ahead, but remember if you are not sent you will soon be sent packing!

Big thumbs up to sagamite and baby boy, many people talking here never watch any of this two guys, especially okocha, most of what you people said are read from pages of newspapers and internet, reading sagamite i knew i was reading somebody who was part and saw all the actions, for those talking about big club, bet many of you didnt know that Franfurt during okocha days was one of the top teams in Germany, PSG was one of the big teams in france then, many of you didnt know cos you dont yet know your left from right then, and talking about big clubs who told you okocha never had offers from real madrid, Juventus and other big clubs back then when PSG and Fernebache wanted him? he did? how did i know? i ws following event then, i was live in the action unlike most of you who are just reading from wikkipedia now and don't know the circumstances surronding the events then. okocha choose not to play for these top teams as it were because he didn't want to be bench warmer like your kanu. he wanted to play football and not warm bench and win trophies, at least HLEB too won CL from the bench with barca, did many of you know there is a list call FIFA 100, this list contains the greatest players ever in the history of FIFA 100 years, only one nigerian is on that list, OKOCHA!When obasanjo travels round the world he said one thing the presidents of the countries he is visiting never fails to ask him about is JAY JAY, actually his first visit to france he was given JAYS JAYS shirt!, please if your age is not around 28,30 and above please don't talk about okocha and Kanu cos you probably don't know anything about this guys other than what you read from the papers, you didnt follow their careers live, so don't talk, SAGAMITE, BABY BOY, thank God we still have people who are objective, have always believe, trophies medals in football are product of a team effort, except you are a maradona who had 5 goals and 5 assists at 86 world cup, he won the world cup as far as am concern, i watched all the matches live, scored all the goals laid all the passes, all the corner kicks, throwings , free kicks, haba, Messi still has a long way to go, that argentine team of 86 was average, nigeria only has one player in that mode OKOCHa, at 2004 nations cup when we lost the first game to morroco amidst many intra team controversies which culimnated in the sending home of agali, babayaro, okocha like always step up to the plate, 4 goals, 3 assists, MVP OF THE COMPETITION, HIGHEST GOAL SCORER, SCORED THE 1000TH GOAL OF THE NATIONS CUP, everyone knows its CAF injustice he never won the caf award that year, talking about goals, FIFA 100 BEST GOALS EVER, OKOCHA'S goal against Kahn is there, Remember the free kick against algeria 10th june 1993, world cup qualifier, he bend it, long before beckham knew anything about free kick, what about the half field equaliser against cameroun in 2000 nations cup final, first goal at PSG from center circle, free kicks at bolton against aston villa, can go on, how do we measure greatness? is it by how far you are ahead of others?not necessarily, lets measure greatness by how much you utilise your potential in relation to your circumstances, resources and opportunities that came your way during your lifetime, not every footballer will have the lluck kANU HAD playing for these so called top teams as it were?but how well did he use this opportunities and resources? same goes for OKOCHA, how well?for 15 years playing for top clubs and a top country in africa like nigeria kanu was never a top player, i repeat never a TOP PLAYER, please dont quote to me his honours and medals, there are other players in the same teams who can boast of the same medals, what are his STATS?His start shows he was a small player who played for big clubs, OKOCHA stats shows a big player who consistently was on top of his game whether he plays for big club or small clubs, this is what makes you great, its in you and not in the club or country you play for. so when a big player like maradona move to a small club like napoli who just escaped relegation the previos season he made them great, Okocha move to a newly promoted club like Bolton he made them stay in the league and took them to carling cup final, in the last 8 yrs of the premiership BOLTON is one of the few clubs who has been able to stay in the premiership for more than 5yrs after been newly promoted, wigan too, others go and come like kanu's west brom, A GREAT PLAYER IS ALWAYS GREAT NO MATTER WHICH TEAM HE PLAYS FOR!
SportsRe: Kanu Tops Nigeria's 50 Greatest Players by naughtybig(m): 2:54pm On Jun 20, 2011
i refuse to get drawn into this issue of who is the most decorated footballer, the greatest player in nigerai should be the player who has contributed more to the development of the game here in nigeria, OKOCHA Top that list, 3 world cups, 5 nations cup, who has represented nigeria that muchand apart from that probably the most influential player the eagles have ever had, tll today we havent found another number 10 to replace him, even at club level most of kanu's achievement can partly be attributed to luck, most guys today read history but i was part of history , i watch history, kanu in ajax? good player, but he was a bit part player, same with inter, even arsenal we all know henry was the king, how did he won the african footballer of the year?scoring winning goal for nigeria at olympics was part of the reason , throughout that competition kanu wwasnt there, bonfrere jo confess amokachi and okocha were his best players then, and if you watch you will agree, kanu scored 3 goals against chelses for arsenal, his come back from surgery contributed to him winning the caf award, moreover the award wasn't competitive then. check it then most of the top players in europe then 70% are nigerians, not like today where other africans countries even have more players than us, kANU HAS HAD A LUCKY CAREER, okocha never had that.but talking of someone who gave all the club level and national level irrespective of medals its him, all the teams okocha played for can't do without him, except when the new coach in PSG DECIDED to enstrange him one time, and individually on the ball, okocha is it!check their stats, okocha, though not a striker played 73 times for nigeria as a starter not coming from the bench o, had 14 goals. Kanu 86 games, mostly as a sub, 13 goals. eVEN AT CLUB LEVEL okocha had 445 games while kanu 428, and most of them as a sub, okocha had 86 goals which is decent for a central midfielder, kanu 117 is low for second striker, no nations cup goal for nigeria while okocha had 7?how can he be nigeria greatest player?
