@Tunlex01, @Remix01, @Vbabs kindly assist navistar: Hello Guys,
Firstly, Great job with providing valued information and advise to everyone needing help on here.
Secondly, as it turns out, i need to help in deciding if i should apply for a 190 Visa.
Profile; Age - 31 Current Profession - ICT Account Manager (1 year + experience at a fintech) Previous Profession - Bank Manager/investment professional (6 years + at a tier One Bank in Nigeria) First Degree - Bsc Building == Nigeria (Graduated -2014) Second degree - MBA=== UK (Graduated - 2022) WES evaluated IELTS - 8.5 overall
Initial thoughts based off research; apply as an ICT Account Manager as seen below;
225211 ICT ACCOUNT MANAGER
Manages sale of computer hardware, software and services to existing account clients and identifies further sales opportunities within these accounts, builds new account clients, manages customer satisfaction and retention, and coordinates the preparation and presentation of ICT sales proposals and tenders. Skill Level: 1
I have reviewed the eligibility page on the both the AU PR and VETASSESS Websites and for 1 year experience for ICT Account Manager, i should have a highly relevant field of study (Information technology or computer sci.)or should be closely related.
Questions;
1. Will my MBA be considered as closely related- i took maybe two ICT courses and my thesis was on digital banking? 2. Do i evaluate both degrees? 3. On the AU immigration portal, 225211 ICT ACCOUNT MANAGER falls under STSOL list. How do i check what states are de demanding my profession asides individually checking? 4. What are my chances?

Thanks for sharing; Career: over 6 years with multiple promotions across 2 companies Monthly salary is 680k Declared monthly expense: 110k The 800k Inflow was one off Declared savings should be about N1.7m as closing balance in NGN salary account & $1.6k in dom. Budget for trip is N1.1m infosoftlife: If the trip is not important, hold on and build your account. Let your friends/whoever is doing a transfer to your account describe such inflow. |

Hello @Giselle234 and/or anyone that can help Kindly help with some questions; 1. Let’s say the USD balance was lodged as cash after his trip to Kenya. On the cover letter, can we attached the E-form A from the trade monitoring portal and say, Bleep was spent on the Kenyan trip and the balance was deposited in xyx dom account? 2. The 800k inflow, that happened in late August, explaining it as loan repayment from colleague fine? Cos that was what it was and it was spent as part of a 1.7mn debit for PTA. 3. If someone declares 110k as average monthly expenses. But the debits on salary account shows significantly more, is this a problem cos Bankers don’t leave money idle in accounts, can be used for mini Investments or soft loans to friends. 4. How do we recognizes bi-annual bonuses (not fixed and it’s based on performance) and other allowances on the form. Or would an explanation on the cover letter suffice? Thanks in adv giselle237: I think he is trying to establish his longevity at a previous employment and that he is still working now even though only recently started this new job and I can’t fault it. I could or want to do the same to want to explain source of funds before August as ECOs can be funny. Also when you have had a long employment or a well Paying one, it gives your application an overall good credence Secondly, Have a planned itinerary, research on what you are going to the UK to do and reduce budget a bit as u said ur monthly expenses are more than 300k but thats what u want to declare. U must research and tell them how u will be touristing. If any other assets in Nigeria add them to show you are well established- some add lands, cars, property documents etc |

for more visibility and Opinions. Please share. Thanks in advance navistar: Hey Guys,
I have read most of the thread and thank you all for sharing insights for a potential successful application. I need guidance on my brother’s application;
Background: He worked with a top tier bank for over 6 years and was promoted twice within same period. His last monthly net salary before he resigned mid August was about N511k/month. His outstanding benefits was also paid the following month (say N800k).
He resigned from banking and joined a fintech coy and now earns N700k. Resumed last week of August this year (same month he left the bank) but salary paid for that month was prorated.
His half year bonus of the bank (former employer was paid after he left) about M1.2 which he immediately invested N1m in fixed deposits for 60 days (maturity 6th Dec this year). He uses same account for salaries from his former and present employers.
He also has a savings account (nothing much here) with another bank and a dom account with a closing balance of $1,600
Now here’s what he wants to submit;
Planned trip expense for 14days: 1,200,000 (£2,200) Avg Monthly expense: 300k (even dou account statement shows more, reason being monies can be sent to another account for savings) **No prior visa refusal**
Intended Docs for submission: 1. 3 months payslip from new employer 2. An old pay slip from old employer 3. 6 months account statement of salary account (balance of 1.7m, where 1m just matured from fixed deposit investment) and dom account with balance of £2.2 (mostly cash lodgments) 4. Employer introduction letter showing resumption date, net monthly salary (700k) and leave times (coincides with proposed travel dates early next year) 5. Stamped page of passport 6. 2 Visas (UAE & Kenya within the last 4 years) 7. Promotion letters from old employer (bank) 8. Resignation letter to former employer (bank) 9. offer letter and ID card of new employer 10. NIN slip 11. A word doc explaining inflows and outflows outside salary above 200k e.g 800k loan repayment from a friend/colleague, debit for PTA for Kenyan trip, FX sales to a BDC staff. 12. Rent or utility bill receipt 13. Hotel booking 14. Brief Explanation on places to visit. 15. Shares certificate valued at N1.6mn
Please share your thoughts and advice. Thanks

Thanks a lot. Just a quick follow up question, about the cover letter. He’s not married.. suggestions on how to navigate the family life bit. And could he just share a link to his LinkedIn profile? Cashmadam: My Opinion:
He has a good chance of getting the visa.
My thoughts on intended Docs for submission: 1. 3 months payslip from new employer - Ok 2. An old pay slip from old employer - Not necessary 3. 6 months account statement of salary account (balance of 1.7m, where 1m just matured from fixed deposit investment) and dom account with balance of £2.2 (mostly cash lodgments) - Ok 4. Employer introduction letter showing resumption date, net monthly salary (700k) and leave times (coincides with proposed travel dates early next year) - Ok 5. Stamped page of passport - Not necessary unless it shows a previous UK Visa 6. 2 Visas (UAE & Kenya within the last 4 years) - Ok 7. Promotion letters from old employer (bank) - Not necessary 8. Resignation letter to former employer (bank) - Not necessary 9. offer letter and ID card of new employer - OK 10. NIN slip - Not necessary 11. A word doc explaining inflows and outflows outside salary above 200k e.g 800k loan repayment from a friend/colleague, debit for PTA for Kenyan trip, FX sales to a BDC staff - he can also include information on his previous work experience, family life (to show ties), assets (if any), why he wants to visit the UK 12. Rent or utility bill receipt - Not necessary. Can be used if you own the property 13. Hotel booking - Not necessary but can be included if it makes him feel better 14. Brief Explanation on places to visit - OK 15. Shares certificate valued at N1.6mn - OK

Career › Re: Welcome To My Office [RELOADED] by navistar(m): 10:32am On Oct 22, 2017 |
Dear All,
I work for a Tier 1 bank in the southern part of Nigeria in the Corporate and Investment arm of the bank more specifically I manage Oil and Gas companies in the public sector space and/or JVs or SPVs with annual turnovers of over $500m.
Summary of my role is to drive increment growth on the key names I manage, seek out new profitable relationships (calls), financial investment advisory, cross sell the bank’s liability and asset products, generate reports usings complex financial models, writing FAMs( financial analysis), resolve my customers short and long term challenges as they arise on my own or by liasing with the appropriate unit etc
My week is usually like a rollercoaster, there are highs and lows it depends on my balance sheet and income earned which is a major influence on how meetings can go.
For the most part I like what I do, it’s more sales related than actual investments option which i love more. Been here for a little over a year and I have gotten two offers from other banks here in Nigeria which makes me believe that negotiating from a position of Power (having a well paying job) is pertinent to landing a better paying job.

Good luck Never heard of it? It's due to an obvious gap in your knowledge base if any exist. You mustn't have an opinion on things that are alien to you. I get a ton of you have employment issues and you subliminally transfer that frustration to new graduates. It's sickening! Why don't you advise rather than belittle or abase his confidence? Why bring him down cos he wants to make something of himself? A lot of you on here reek of hate and jealousy and it saddens me. Hi Assessment centre is is unique yet integral part of the recruitment process. It varies from company to company, depending on laid down policies. AC generally progresses in the order highlighted below. 1. Aptitude test (optional) - a quick 1-2 hour numerical an verbal paper or computer based test to test your analytical skills 2. Group discussion - this segment usually ran by an experienced facilitator and it involves dividing the pool of applicants into groups of 10-15 and throwing a question that could range from your thoughts on Educational decay in modern governance to your stance on feminism in sub-sahara Africa (random topic). The facilitator will ask the question and watch you guys deliberate on it, the whole idea is to see how well you perform in team-centric situations and how you think (logical/deductive/inductive). reasoning. Hints: speak intelligently in a brief sentences, don't talk over another applicant and don't be a yes man. In essence make sure you talk 3. Case study (Optional) - it's a personal or team work exercise depending on the firm's recruitment policies. A facilitator will ask a question that involves critical thinking e.g a man has £4B and wants to invest in Nigeria' Economy. What sector should he invest in, potential competition and probable rewards etc. You would be given time to think, type up a proposal on word and draw graphs on power point and finally present to the panelist. If it's a Group activity, each of you will assume unique roles, ranging from leader to scribe. This exercise to designed to test your presentation skills. 4. Role playing/Acting (Optional) - you would be briefed on the wants/needs of a fictional client and asked to broker a deal with the said client after analysing some documents, acting as an agent of the firm. A facilitator will play the role of th client. Testing yur communication and interpersonal skills are two of several reasons why,this test was made. In most case, it's either you do a role playing exercise or case study. It's only on rare occasions that you would be required to do both. 5. Interview (panel or partner) - basic interview questions and/or technical questions Hope I was able to shed light on a seemingly dark situation. Now go and get that job. |
