The exact statement was " ...vote for those who'll protect your religion." How could that be equated to vote for ONLY Muslims? OBJ is Christian and don't be surprised majority of Muslims will vote for him over many Muslims in the corridors of power today. The simple reason being he'll protect people of both faiths.
Go tell Buhari to stop saying what only him understands.

[b]WHAT YOU
DON'T KNOW ABOUT
SAMBO DASUKI,
Nigeria's National
Security Adviser:

In August 1985, the evening of the 26th to
be specific, at a time when Nigerians were celebrating the Muslim festival and enjoying the public holiday, a soldier named Badamasi
Babangida was executing his plans of
overthrowing the
Nigerian Head of State,
Major-General
Muhammadu Buhari.
One of the soldiers who
arrested Buhari at
gunpoint was a soldier
named SAMBO DASUKI.

After Buhari was arrested and his
government toppled,
IBB threw him into
prison and handsomely
rewarded Dasuki by
making him his ADC
(aide-de-camp).
Sambo Dasuki was one
of the four army majors that arrested
Buhari at gunpoint that
day. Others were
Abubakar Dangiwa
Umar, Lawan Gwadabe,
Abdulmumuni Aminu (I
have written on him
before). Buhari was left
to rot in jail for two
years and this wrecked
his family life so bad
that it led to a divorce
with Safinatu, his
beloved wife upon his
release.

While Buhari was also in jail, Babangida sent soldiers to ransack and vandalize his residence,
in the process destroying some of
Buhari's most valuable
credentials and valuables.

Let me skip what
happened to Sambo
Dasuki and his father
the former Sultan of
Sokoto under General
Abacha to today. He
has been appointed as
the National Security
Adviser to President
Jonathan and you really
think Sambo Dasuki will
want the elections to
go on and Buhari become the President
of Nigeria? Think again,
what is going on has
nothing to do with
PVCs or bla bla bla. It is
all about the interests
of a few people strangling the country. I
think all Nigerians should remain calm and
read more and see how
the game is played with
the destinies of the
almost 200 million of us.
Things are not always
what they seem to be.

Politics › Re: Christians Should Vote For Candidates Based On Performance by ndcide(m): 6:57pm On Feb 09, 2015
Sorry to say, I've also seen Muslim leaders campaign for Buhari in their sermons. Personally, I don't rush to the internet to post such things because I usually trivialized them.

I have seen Children of Muslim preachers who are in secondary or primary school, (considering their height and stature they'll not be more than 13 years of age) talk about GEJ with so much hatred and religious bias. Imagine children of such age exhibiting such bigotry, quoting their preacher in some instances and vowing that GEJ must be stopped.

One of them was making reference to the new 100 naira note in which Arabic inscription was removed.

I was shocked that a child who was not up to voting age could say all what I heard. The school wears green trouser in this Ajah area of Lagos.

God who created me knows I'm not making this up.

Few days later, a colleague in my office also made such statement during one of our political discussions. he also brought the 100 naira issue. This got me surprised because my colleague is intelligent and enlightened. I had to ask did they preach these things in your mosques? We had to end the discussion right there.

A caller called into Nigeria info FM . and stated that divisive sermons were being preached up north in mosques in a bid to increase so much hate for GEJ.

Reference was also made to reactions in BBC Hausa.

I also got corroboration from some Igbo friends who left Kaduna and other northern towns recently due to the coming election for fear of being attacked.

@Op, from what I know lots more damage have been done by Muslim bigots than that of the Christian believers. We can't rule out the perceptions during the earlier days of Boko haram where some folk never condemned the attacks. In fact in my church some of the pastors surreptitiously preach in favour of Buhari because of Osinbajo.

Believe me I know the damage that is being done.

On performance, GEJ have performed well comparative to past leaders and giving the hostile climate his administration have operated in. Not also forgetting the manipulations from people who want o get vantage positioning in their presidential ambitions and the brazen gang up to return power to the north at all cost not considering if the Messiah of Nigeria was from the south.

Now for buhari, If not for this election, can this generation point to any legacy of buhari as a leader?

Can a 25 year old boy point to any landmark achievement with his name on it from north to south? now be honest. Apart from his historic highhandedness which some persons ignorantly project as positives. or is it the pseudo strong man image which we know he can't exhibit in this era that is his cutting edge?

common we can not subject ourselves to this torture because we hate GEJ. let's be reasonable.

I insist that some APC chieftains are involved in this. The person I worked with is not Igbo but from akwa ibom.

look, you may support APC but do not dismiss things like this. I know you won't dismiss it if it was about PDP.
