ochejoseph: Madam
when we talk objectively there is no need for insults if truly you mean well for Nigeria
the reason why the crude price excuse will not fly is simple
1.Jonathan had a crude oil price of 110 but he had to contend with a huge subsidy regime which the APC stopped him from removing 2. Now Buhari has no high crude prices but he does not have the huge burden of subsidy which is now been paid by ordinary Nigerians.
A sound economic policy does not need crude oil to work it’s neither a machine no an equipment it’s an idea or innovation on paper
Treating each segment of the country fairly does not need oil prices
Putting the right people in the right places even though they don’t come from your village does not need crude oil prices most of the places he had low score did not require high oil prices but simple common sense |

fratermathy: Big lipped and ugly toothed Governor without any tangible trajectory for the development of Delta State!
#Urhobo nationalism is on the rise and many Urhobos are getting wiser with each minute. We have set our mind to the task of bettering our condition in this nation. We demand an all Urhobo State. As the most populous ethnic group in current Delta State, we have the numbers to populate our own state. We ask for resource control for this new Urhobo State, as well as true federalism. If you can't provide us with this, then grant us our independence as the Federal Republic of Urhoboland!
Urhobo demands for equity and fair play. Although we won't tow the path of the Biafran noisemakers or Nnamdi Kanu, we will get our demands one way or another. We need an Urhobo State without Igbos or any other ethnicity.
Ihwo r'Urhobo, kpani' odetionye? WadooooO!
N.B: It should be noted that Urhobos are not part of Biafra and do not partake in Nnamdi Kanu's terrorist activities. We are peace loving Nigerians who believe in the rule of law in everything. We are one in delta state, we remain part of delta state, we are part of Nigeria and if the larger biafra is the way to go, we will negotiate and be part of it. As for true federalism, I have maintained, our people are not serious therefore it's not going to happen. Back to delta state, an Urohbo man have been governor for 8 years, an itsekiri man was governor for 8 years, an Ika man is presently governor we must support him as we supported others (not in criminality). I've told my people, if it's for governor, Urohbo should back off. I hate such bad blood we want to bring into a state we are managing. Chinua Achebe said in his book : Let the kite perch and let the eagle perch too. ... Whichever bird says to the other don't perch let its wings break . |

Chigboboss: I will ignore the insults because it is only indicative of your infancy, background and upbringing.
The President is a northerner and highly revered in the North so making a tasteless caricature accompanied by social media taunting is highly provocative and likely to backfire.
We are clearly and obviously unable to defend ourselves against the northern military and her foreign allies so this is a very SELF-DESTRUCTIVE path we are taking. You can't be opening a thread about peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and talking about Northern military. How does that sound to you. If that's the case, why have you not opened threads against such nonsense. So when will it end? Stop being silly. BTW I'm not from your part of the country. So you know. |

mykelmeezy: initially i was in support of the biafra movement
but recent events have shown me biafra is a very foolish way of going about the right thing the wrong way
first of i dont believe in one Nigeria.... without true federalism (so fvck luggard)
secondly i understand the urge of the south not the be associated with the north and the slavery mentality of the west can sometimes be irritating
but then seems the biafra aint any better
someone on one thread asked a question
after biafra ..what next? what has been put in place?
and all i saw were tribalistic insults against the op
at that point its obvious biafrans dont know what they want
before you quote and spew trash am deltan so both north east and west are all parasites to our "oil money" lol
so i think the whole issue needs one thing
either biafra settles for a referendum (tho most south east states have useless leaders now who were voted by this same people clamouring for biafra) but then those who have the power to push for the referendum arr hibernating
so the only logic way now is simply TRUE FEDERALISM Plz how do you hope to get your true federalism. |

Quite unfortunate. Did someone skip this? Another confirmed rapist who is also an armed robber, Abdulbashir Bishir, 26, says a witch doctor recommended sexual contact for him to enable a talisman against gunshots become effective. When he was eventually caught raping a 13 years old girl, Bishir explained that, “the herbalist gave me the charm which he said I should use to rub my sperm after having sex with the girl and that after that, I should throw the talisman in a graveyard. I held her hand, we entered into the house and I rubbed my joystick on her body but I never had sex with her. She is 13-year-old.” Some of us who stress chastity and speak against sexual recklessness are not liked by fools. Again, whether you call it consensual sex between adults or whatever. If you know what people do with sex, you will run far away from sex.. If you like say it's love, passion etc that's your business. Sex is now one of the strongest instruments of occultic manipulation. Be wise. |

Prince4mic: Someone should put an end to this political charade in Rivers state.. enough of the hate.
in another news:
AMAECHI'S REJECTION OF STATE AWARD: A MORAL RELIEF... wike's commissioner for information
The Rivers State government has learnt with much relief news of the rejection of a proposed State award, by a former governor of the State, and current Minister for Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi.
Given Mr Amaechi's sanctimonious statement of rejection, it is important to clarify that the Rivers State Government never set out to honour Mr Amaechi for any meritorious service to the State during his time as governor.
As part of the events of the State's Golden Jubilee celebration, the State government accepted the recommendation of the organizing committee that a variety of awards be given to different categories of individuals who have earned a place in the history of the State.
There is a category of the awards designated for former governors of the State. And as a former governor, Mr Amaechi fell automatically in that category.
We wish to emphasize that the award was never meant as a validation of Mr Amaechi's horrendous administration.
Mr Amaechi was personally indicted for stealing billions of public funds during his time in office, by a court-approved panel of inquiry set up by the state government.
The government will soon initiate a prosecutorial process against him in multiple jurisdictions, in Nigeria and abroad. And no award would have stopped that process.
We must confess that as a government, we wrestled with the moral horror of giving any kind of award to a man whose government was no better than a criminal syndicate.
Mr Amaechi may be a scoundrel of history, but he was once a governor of the state. The proposed award was to serve as a sad acknowledgement of the especially dark place he occupies in our State's otherwise illustrious history.
His rejection of the award is therefore a huge moral relief for the administration, and the people of the state.
Signed:
Dr Austin Tam-George Commissioner for Information and Communication, Rivers State. 26th May 2017 LOL trust Tam George to give it cold. |

Politics › Re: Igbos Need To Stop Acting Like Minorities And Play Nigerian Politics by ndcide(m): 8:29am On May 13, 2017 |
Afam4eva: You know, this is actually one of the worst times to be an Igbo man as far as being part of the Nigerian entity is concerned. We know that since the end of the civil war the hate for the Igbo man has been engraved in the minds of the average Nigerian, from the west to the North and even to the South-south. Though the Igbos did a pretty good job despite the adversities by pulling themselves out of the rubble and from 1999, we started to enjoy some level of prosperity politically, even though i feel it wasn't enough considering the fact that we're part of the tripod upon which this nation was built. Atleast it was a good start.
However, a little more than a decade later, the Igbo nation is looking more like a conquered territory. Some people blame it on wrong political calculations and alliances while others blame it on the hate that the Nigerian state has had against people of Igbo extraction. I would blame it on the unwillingness of Igbos to play politics the Nigerian way.
It has come a time that we need to forego the emotions of the civil war and solidarity with any group and play politics the way the Northerners play or atleast, go the route of the Yorubas. These people have mastered the idiosyncrasies that is Nigeria and have seized the moment to put themselves at a stage that will benefit them. It seems the Igbos are the only majority group that have failed and looking like a minority group by the day. Instead of deceiving ourselves by concocting spiritual alliances with a region known as the south-south or Niger Delta or whatever they want to call themselves these days, our alliances should face westwards and to the north. The people from the south-south are the most ungrateful humans ever to walk this part of the world. How can one explain that a group as big as the Igbo race put all their eggs in one basket for a man known as Goodluck Jonathan who wasn't even an Igbo man and as soon as he lost, his people started throwing abuses at us.
The first mistake you don't make in politics is to bring yourself down to align with minorities except it's for your own interest. It's high time we stopped being emotional and moved with the tide and align with satan if need be because contrary to what a lot of Igbos may think, we're no saints and nobody is looking for a saint in Nigeria. As long as you're crooked but appear friendly, people will respect you. I'm from the SS and I don't hate the SE. In fact I attack my SS people for being myopic with their closeness with the SE. Also, it's unfortunate that you still see the support for GEJ as an error. You are analytical, so I'll leave that for you. So because some persons feel that they are close to the presidency, they are now the most fortunate people in Nigeria? Apart from bragging rights, how has the presidency benefited the SW and North. Buhari's government is not working. We all know it. We've given the excuse of corruption to protect them. Ask any unbiased person, you'll know. Also, if you think because some persons are in power today, it will remain so forever, then you are not wise. You should also know that the president of a country is beyond the votes of the citizens. The choice is an illusion. It's made for you and you think you made it. You should know that... Nigeria is already divided into North/ South so looking west is not even the best, going by your thought. But if you feel breaking your SS support because GEJ lost an election, good. You'll regret it. My advice, be patient. This dispensation is very short. In fact it's over already. It was orchestrated to remove GEJ.. Nothing more. Be wise. |
