NSEstudent:Please be fair to those pointing out stock. It is not their obligation to tell you when to sell. You are the one that knows how much you bought and should be able to determine your target and when to exit. I come in peace o. |
Ayomideloni:Apology for the way/style others responded to your question. First of all, you are welcome to this platform. All we do here is to discuss ways to navigate through and be successful with investing in the Nigerian Exchange. I make bold to say that many of us here have been able to make more than 300% of the initial capital we invested in January 2024. This platform is full of good and resourceful people that have been of assistance in choosing the right stocks to buy. |
Meerahbel:Yes, you have a point though. But, do you think the company management don't know the state of the company financials? We see ONLY from our OWN point of view, what is 6 to you may be 9 to another person. Presently, as someone having Oando shares, I am looking at it from a different point of view. What I am looking at, is that holding a party of such magnitude is a pointer to the fact that all is well, both now, and in the nearest future for the company. The management know what is in store (financially) for them and the company, that is why they have chosen to start the celebration. Mine is to follow the money wherever it is in NGX, whether it is with cow or sheep boy or prodigal son, so far I can get mine from it. Meanwhile, the next 3 - 6 months will prove either the management and its critics right/wrong. Let's wait and see by then. |
yMcy56:Are you joking with @currentprice stock ![]() |
Sunrisepebble:In addition to that, a stock with market price of less than N100 can officially move in price over and over again on a daily basis because the amount needed for 100,000 block movement is easier than a stock selling for over N500. Take for example, Aradel/Nestle/DangCement can be on bid/offer for days without officially moving up/down because you need billions to get 100,000 block movement, that is, even if someone brings offer of that magnitude, compared to the likes of Oando/Unilever/WAPCO. |
currentprice:I was just about calling you out of your hole One thing about your stock prediction is that it comes with rest of mind. I even bought more at N21 |
Agbalowomeri:lol. you are too cunning. A typical africa man always factor the way out ![]() |
megawealth01:No analysis should be looked down carelessly. Spiritual analysis by seers in January 2024 indicated that Dangote businesses will suffer serious setback this year. |
Sunrisepebble:It has been like that for over 4 months now |
yMcy56:Don't mind him. When he was not around, everywhere was peaceful, now that he has come, he has started again. This time around, it is him and loco, only God knows the next person, he will pick quarel with? It is very difficult indeed, for a leopard to change its spots. The person that initiated his b.a.n did a nice work and deserve kudos ![]() |
Raider76:Taking a close look again |
Oando food eventually land for pa emma, Ok o, eat on… I wonder why he has chosen to drink so much Panadol for other peoples’ headache. We, the Oando faithfuls’ are very happy with the results, If Pa Emma did not like it, LET HIM GO TO COURT, long live the CEO of our ever-prestigious company, Prince Wale Tinubu .Above is a joke please. On a serious note, I want to thank Pa Emma, Ositadima, Agba, Mcy, megawealth, prophetutuocha et al for the discourse, it is reminiscence of those between @currentprice versus @Rabbidoracle with @onlygentleguy. One funny thing is that, there are lots of new things that we often learn from the discussion, worth taking note in future trade in the market. Kudos to you all. For emphasis, Pa Emma is an investor to the core, he is not after short term gain but long-term benefit to shareholders. So, he is speaking from an investor’s point of view. Personally, I know oando is not a stock for long term investor, but for traders who thrives in short term gain. Oando will still be good for the next 6 months to 1 year, thereafter, maybe to your tents o Israel…. For now, I will still buy more Oando if the suspension is lifted. I am in the market to make money in whichever stock I see the prospects, regardless of the promoter or CEO of the companies. If people we perceive to have good names like Alhaji Dangote gave us negative returns (I have lost over N10m in DS and NASCON this year), is it a crime to recover the losses from the stocks that belongs to the so-called perceived bad boys/cowboys? Anyways. life goes on. |
bastardson:Just be patient. Morgan will send an email to you as soon as they have created your user number and temporary password to operate your account. |
ndept:If Agba and Emmanuelewumi like, like them be salivating and waiting for oando result, it will not be released even till Tuesday hmmm Oando, the jagaban of all stocks, Ta ba ni ka mu oni, ola laamu mu (if you say make you catch today, na tomorrow you go catch) ![]() |
mikeapollo:lol. By now, you are supposed to be a legend on Oando matter It will be a surprise to me if Oando drop the financials today. I am looking forward to Monday morning. |
edwardaigb:Only news of merger can activate something good for DS, if not, nothing special in DS for now, the company will not even pay dividend for the financial year. |
Aradel price should have stabilized by now and looking to revert. But I am suprised at those still selling down. @sunrisepebble, how many units does that Private Equity firm owns? I suspect they are the ones selling majority of the volumes |
Agbalowomeri:Your mind is corrupt. You need to go for deliverance session with Pastor Veecovee ![]() |
ositadima1:It is in 2 ways. Either the market value of each seedlings that have been planted or, that Ellah Lakes themselves are into production and sale of seedlings to farmers, therefore, they may realize the said amount if they sold those seedlings. |
KarlTom:My brother, RETURN OF CAPITAL is better than RETURN ON CAPITAL, I simply sold when I heard that 2 diaspora members who own farm along the same axis in Osun State were kidnapped and ransom of about N40m paid for their release. Even before then, I hardly have time to visit the farm, infact I visited the farm thrice in 2 years and anytime I go there, I don't tell the farm managers and workers of my coming. The bolded is the reality of the present times in Nigeria. |
BabsO2:Thanks for the above. These are the ways through which we scrutinize stocks and not by abusing and rubbishing the views of others. On Ellah lakes issue, someone promised here sometime ago to visit their farm and report back to us and we are still waiting on that report. But in my own views, the palm oil business is not a business that yields returns in the first 5 years, in fact, an average palm tree reaches its peak of fruition from 8 years and above. Therefore, if Ellah Lakes is really into palm oil production like Presco and okomu oil, it will take Ellah lakes at least 5 years to start reaping the gains of palm oil business. That is also depending on when they actually planted the palm trees. NB: I previously own about 70 acres palm tree plantation and personally bought the palm fruit seedlings from Okomu oil in Benin in 2015, planted it in 2016 and sold the plantation in 2023 due to security concern. Therefore, I know exactly what I am talking about. |
emmanuelewumi:Is it fundamentals that moved Japaul from the previous 23k in less than 2 years ago to the current price of 230k (over 800% capital appreciation)? Japaul's stock price has been moving all this while based on sentiments. Let us get it right and set the record straight, it is NOT only fundamentals that moves the price of stocks in NGX. For example, if Japaul's journey into gold mine sees the light of the day, don't be suprised to see the price in the N4 region (even before they announce any financial result) Again, is it fundamentals that moved Oando from N10 to N85 (over 600%) within 3 months, but sentiments and hope of a better future for the company based on the current information at our disposal. Again, Is it only stocks with fundamentals that Warren Buffet bought that gave him the fortunes he has now.? I know that you are an investor that thrives with fundamentals, but someone like me and others here combines all the factors together to play the market and I am indeed proud of my achievement and give Glory to God, I am a trader and an investor at the same time, I simply applied different method suitable for every stock I buy. To borrow the words of @bullbearmarket, everyone here should simply put on the table what he/she has to offer that has been rewarding him/her and let whoever DESIRES, act or discard it, after all, nobody is being paid here to suggest the stocks to buy, but we are all saying our mind based on the fact that we all want everyone to make it big in the stock market. Good luck to each and everyone. |
https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/42460_GUARANTY_TRUST_HOLDING_COMPANY_PLC-_QUARTER_3_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2024_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_OCTOBER_2024.pdf Good result. EPS of 38.41k as against 12.98k |
Streetinvestor2:What do you have that someone will envy you Are you feeding anybody here? For the sake of people with sane mind here, I will rest my case for now, so as not to descend into the mud with a pi.. like you. But then, I have made my point and will not rest when next you abuse any other member here. |
Streetinvestor2:I always try to avoid and not read your comments, but anytime I read it by mistake, I see that it has always been the same you, and your character has never changed; you derived joy in rubbishing people. This platform never belongs to your likes and I will not open my eyes and see you pursuing people away from here with your unsolicited and abusive comments. Who told you it is only fundamentals that moves the prices of stocks? What fundamentals does FTN cocoa, Ellah Lakes, chams, Daar communications, Omatek, Japaul, Tantalizer etc has, and yet they moved from virtually zero price (20k) to where they are now. For example, FTN Cocoa moved from 20k to around 380k within one year (over 1500% increase) and as we speak, it has not gone back to the initial 20k. Same with others. Those that key into those stocks when loco initially announced it also made huge gains, it is only those chasing when the price have gone higher before entering that lost. Everybody here has its own style of picking stocks and gaining from it. Change your ways and stop abusing people based on their perception of the market. I repeat, this platform is Nigeria Stock Exchange Market Picks Alert and NOT restricted to only stocks on the NGX with fundamentals. |
Much Ado about Nothing. The suspension on O and O shares is good for those inside the bus already (except for those that needs money for emergency). The share price would have plunged downward from this morning back to around N74 (Though not a good one for me, because I would have bought more units as I am having less than 100,000 units now and hope to buy close to 500,000 units at around N74). I reiterates again, O and O may still achieve price of N130 in the next 5 months. Above is my opinion please. |

Seunn11:I may not know why you went ahead and bought Aradel at high despite the fact that the most reliable person on Aradel on this forum (@sunrisepebble) said that it is not adviseable to buy at that high price. This is because Aradel witnessed unprecendented high on NASD prior to its listing on NGX. As it stands, one of the factors that can halt the downward slide of Aradel is for the company to present its financial statement to justify the current price or otherwise.... Nevertheless, this does not mean that Aradel cannot turn the corner and surpassed your entry price, only that you need a lot of patience. |
