Streetinvestor2:You reason well, but disrespect the opinion of others in the way you put it down. The bolded should have been in your mind and not necessarily on the platform (you can simply say that you don't reason that way. Period). Going forward, this will help in your conversation with others, not only here but in other places. In addition, even the message you are trying to pass may be ignored by those that needs it simply because of the arrogan.ce in it. This is part of the problem Late Ajimobi has during his lifetime. Peace o. |
Payunsin:log out and login again. Morgan platform is working. |
sterlingD:Thank you. I am just seeing it. |
However, on DS, I still have my reservation and may sell any moment from now. Reason being that I don't expect much from their Q1 result. I observed that most of the companies that suffer from forex in their AFS are still reporting forex loss in their Q1. Therefore, if DS should release another loss in their Q1, it may affect its share price going forward. Note: My opinion please |
edwardaigb:My good brother, the bolded above is needless. It is an insult on everybody in NSEMPA. The beauty of the forum is the diverse opinion we have from every quarters. Whatsoever you see here is the opinion of every writer and not an authority. it is left for you to filter sense from every opinion you see which may not be far from the truth. Nevertheless, Everyone still remains the CEO of his/her portfolio. Peace. disclosure: I am also in DS/NASCON, |
The management of IB deserves an award as the most consistent and predictable company in declaring losses https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/41139_INTERNATIONAL_BREWERIES_PLC.-_QUARTER_1_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2024_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_APRIL_2024.pdf |
ositadima1:Yes, I suspected he saw it this morning on ogas table when he went to carry the NGX opening bell ![]() |
defebe:Going forward, the fate of the 2 stock will be decided by their Q1 result. |
222Martins:lol. Mr Perfect/know-it-all. Can you please point out who is the child here that burst into tears!!! Besides, what loss has anybody here made that has not been made before. Nobody expects to win all the time. We win some and loose some, but then, our winning is more than the lost, chikena. What we are saying for the upteenth time is for you to stop rubbing it on people's face here because you did not give anybody money to invest. That is not part of why this forum was founded. |
222Martins:I need you to just say amen to the prayer first in order for you to judge your conscience. Even Otedola, Elumelu etc will not make that statement you made in public forum. The NGX is not all about someone loosing before you make it. If you must know, there is always a win-win situation most atimes. When you buy stock, make some money and hand over to another set to make their money too. Some bought UBA @ N5 and sold at N12 to others who are still holding/have sold at current price of N23. Not necessarily praying for people to loose money for you to profit from their lost. The last time I check, your name is not agbalowomeri , I would have understand your position. I come in peace sha. |
222Martins:This statement really tells who you are. Waiting to benefit from someone tears. God will help you. |
@222Martins, those presently in DS/NS are already not happy with their position, remember this is due to no fault of theirs. No one/few ever imagined that the merger will experience any hitch due to the antecedents of Alhaji. As a brother/sister in NSEMPA, it is not good to add to the problem by mocking them with that your statement. At least, if you cannot solve their problem, you can do well by simply stay away from mocking them. Disclosure; I holds the two stock as well and I am not happy when you made those statement. We are suppose to be watching each others back and not stabbing each other. Peace be unto you. |
Locotrader:You have forgotten that oando has already taken a loan of 800 million dollars from AFREXIM Bank in November 2023 https://energycapitalpower.com/oando-secures-800m-afreximbank-loan-for-naoc-acquisition/ |
Locotrader:Oando that is talking about coming to market to raise capital. There is more to Oando, the stock is full of drama and I trust we are yet to see half of it until around November. |
Locotrader:lol. Wale talking to me and other Oando shareholder: I go let you people know say I get Ph.d in manipulation, this is just reharsal, shey una no dey hear word. Make una go ask of the way I dealt with peterichy and others some years ago ![]() |
KarlTom:it was reported in NNPC's financial statement, though I can't laid my hand on it now. https://www.legit.ng/business-economy/energy/1576499-nnpc-acquires-oando-petrol-stations-jetty-pays-n14055-billion-ph-refinery-continues-test-run/ |
KarlTom:Good summary/analysis no doubt. The highlight of the recently released 2022 report should have been centered around the sale of all oando retail outlet to NNPC at the cost of 359 million dollars around October 2022. But I am yet to see where the proceeds is reported in the AFS account. Does anyone know where the money was accounted for, or did it just disappeared? |
Krisuba:I can bear it for the next three months , only if there will be light at the end of the tunnel |
So far, all Alhaji's stock are on offer and key thrown away. Cement has been on offer for about 2 months now. I hope DS/NS will not be on offer for that long o. |
Still good to see that the 2 brothers DS/NS could not get enough volume to go down for the second day running. Am I the only one enjoying this movie ![]() |
Locotrader:The way people are even running from DS/NS, it may be difficult to get the buyer with the required 100,000 units block to send the price down ![]() |
My pains in this DS/NS issue is not the suspension of the merger arangement, but the fact that no one on this forum got the insider hints for us before the information was released to the market. The only person that align and got close to it was @streetinvestor, but then he was commenting based on his perceived thought on the merger and not insider infomation. Yes, DS would come with a good Q1, but then the stock would have been massively flogged beyond imagination. Some people that bought at the lower low will still make money from DS. |
thebargainhunte:Oga, you are wicked o ![]() On a serious note, I think patience is key in order not to exit and all of a sudden, you hear the announcement. By then, you will not see it to buy until it reaches close to N90 and that will be very painful. |
Streetinvestor2:Ok o. We all want a Nigeria of our dream irrespective of the political party. But then, the bolded is paramount. If I tell you that my expenses has tripled since this government took over. Just to do fence 2 weeks ago for one of my empty plot of land costs over N1.7m (just 3 sides without gate). I just came back from Foodco now and the bread we normally buy @ N350 is now N1000......the list is endless |
iHaveMadeiT2:The bolded may not be true sha. I know that the announcement is around the corner, personally, I think it will come on or before June this year. |
Streetinvestor2:In as much as I do not want to bring politics into this forum, but then, I need you to enlighten us on what you are seeing or which particular area/field/metrics that HAS made this government better than the last regime. Forget about the fact that we made money in the stock market, that will be selfish of us, the percentage of Nigerians participating in the stock market is less than 1%. So, what about the rest 99%? For example: Cooking gas is now N1,200 per kg compared to N600 under Buhari regime Rice N77,000 per bag against N32,000 vis-vis other food items Petrol N580 per ltr against N185 under Buhari Diesel N1,200 against N800 …. just to mention a few The administration is just cleaning up the mess they created unnecessarily with the abrupt removal of subsidy. On the dollar issue, they met it at N650 and with all the shout up and down, it is still N1,000. Not to talk about the massive increase in loans and external debts they have incurred in just less than a year of governance. I have so many friends that are into manufacturing and know what they are going through economically. Electricity generation is still nothing to write home about. Not to forget the fact that wages of workers has remained same while the purchasing power of every Nigerian has been massively reduced. Please note that this is not a fight or attack on you. |
Choiceguy:@Streetinvestor2 is fond of this avoidable attack. He is unrepentant and has done this so many times on this platform despite the fact that @yok did not quote him on his comment. |
Streetinvestor2:Yes, interim dividend of 25k was paid, making a total dividend of 85k for the financial year. Their is improvement in the bank performance sha. I am still wondering how the bank will meet up with the CBN recapitalization, though the worst that can happen is for the bank to exit international banking. |
dapix:Not commensurate with the share price. |
defebe:You are not alone here. I should have sold some DS when it was N59 last week and re-enter at below N53 maybe tomorrow. Anyway all is well. At last patience will be key. |
@yMcy56 where your comments. I have told you to stop cooking beans in the morning of a market day ![]() |
