It was a terrible experience that, Nigerian police has turned to Animals. I experienced this nightmares first hand.

Yesterday i drove out in my car, A clean Mercedes Benz c300. My car is tinted about 80% tint. Normally before I step out I always check my papers and make sure they are intact, which I also did. I wanted to buy fuel for my generator cause I needed it.

I drove down to the filling station, not too far from my house, immediately I was about to enter, a Toyota RAV4 which looking old and rickety pulled over Infront of me, at first I thought it was Unknown gunmen, but when I saw police on their cloth, I felt at peace, without knowing this guys are more dangerous than unknown gunmen.

The first guy walked to me and said I should open my boot. I came down and opened it, brought out my gallon of fuel and told him to search. He refused, and told me to close up the boot. The second police officer then walked to the drivers side, fortunately I was with a girl who is very stubborn and learned. The police officer told me to enter the car and the girl should enter the back, and let's drive to the place they will search me. I flared up and asked him what did he say. I told him over my dead body will I step an inch from here. You either search me here right here infront of all these people or I'll enter my car and get out. People started to come and ask what was going on.

The second police guy then said I can't tell him his job. Then I asked him if his job includes kidnaping people? Because I don't understand why I need to drive somewhere else, which I don't know, and you can search me there. I bluntly refused. As this was going on, I was lucky when the Police Cp(Commissioner of police) was just passing with his Prado Suv and a Hilux, the man noticed what was going on, and he stopped immediately, roles down his tinted glass and the men all saluted. He called them and asked what was going on, the second then said nothing sir. They just wasn't to search me, immediately I cut him shot and greeted the cp. Then I told him his men ere harrasing me and refused to search me. That they insisted that they will search me somewhere else. The man got mad, and asked if it was true, and the officer lied infront of me and the cp. I was so disappointed how a full grown up man can lie. The Cp discharged them immediately and warned them never to try anything like this again. And also gave them a direct order to let me go.

Is this how the police harrass people? Some Keke men there starting accusing them, that they were jealous of a young guy driving a clean car. Imagine if It was at night? or was afraid of their guns and moved with them, maybe they could have taken all my money or even do worse.

Why is Nigerian police like a zoo?
