I bet if we ask these men how they make money, it will sound like: Me: Bill, how do you make money? Bill: I create software for people and business, and they pay me because my software works for them. I sell software that works Me:Pastor, how do you make money? Pastor: I tell people God will help their lives and I pray for them, and they pay me both when their requests are granted or even when their requests are yet to be granted. I sell hope and the promise of wealth. The answer my friends, is as clear as this. |
You won't find Bill gates, with all his money, proclaiming himself world richest man. Your pastor should find someone else to compare himself to. |

I need to see another blog apart from tech, entertainment, gossip, etc |
NewsINigeria:Derailer... You've been acknowledged |
Hello, Please let me clear some misconceptions here. Firstly the article above isn't in its complete form. The complete one is at www.oyamakemoney.com where I listed all the necessary things you need to run a successful blog. Its sad that some people will refer to me as a copy and paste blogger because that's what I stand against. I am a blogger at heart. I'm not in it for the money. If it was for money, I'd have been charging people. My site oyamakemoney.com is a project I'm running to show people how possible it is to make money through blogging. To show that I'm serious about what I say, I'm not monetizing the blog for the next 6 months! No AdSense, no ads etc. I just want to help bloggers build profitable blogs with my experience. I appreciate all your comments, and the retailers, thanks very much too. I'm out to clear the impression that blogging is all about gossiping and spamming people with images and stuff. Blogging is much more than that. Finally, about the headline. I apologize if it was misleading in any way. But if you read newspapers, you should be familiar with this technique. Its called writing attention grabbing headlines. It wasn't meant literally ! I wrote about this in the 12 commandments for bloggers. You can check out the post on my site. Thanks and I look forward to answering your questions! Just hit me up on email or on Whatsapp 08060844967 |
docphresh:I apologize for the break in transmission. The article isn't complete here. Please head over to my site to read the complete article. I didn't mean the headline literally please |
NairaMode:Please the heading wasn't meant literally. Its one of the things you must learn to use a blogger. The use of headlines to drive traffic. I spoke of it in the 12 commandments for bloggers in Nigeria. Thanks for the comment |
adexmuhyi:Have you decided on the niche you want to blog about? |
dani3:thanks so much! |
richkal:You're welcome! The post isn't complete here. Its available fully on my site oyamakemoney.com I'll definitely add proof of earnings |
veekid:There are many people even here in Nigeria who make money blogging without gossiping. Blogging doesn't take as much time as most people spend on social media in a day |
Afrocatalyst:No it certainly isn't THAT easy...you've got to put some work into it |
feldido:Everybody mustn't blog, but since everybody wants to have money and live a comfortable life, if blogging can give you that chance, why won't you take it? |
jmoore:Blogging isn't for everybody. It certainly isn't for you if you don't think you can make it |
Due to popular demand, here is my complete step-by-step guide I wrote on how to start a blog. Note that this post could get very long, so please be sure to bookmark it so you can always come back and make reference to it. This post will be updated from time to time so I make sure the content stays fresh just the way you like it. This post is dedicated to Nnamdi, and Abdul, who’s been asking for advice on how to build the best blog. I hope this post helps you. Good luck dominating your niche! Hopefully, one day you’ll be making millions from it. It will definitely change your life! Contents Try not to skip any sections if you’re just starting out. You’ll thank me for it! How I got into the world of blogging I started blogging in the year 2011. Back then I didn’t know much about it and so I had to make do with the little information available to me at the time. My first blog was about technology and phones. I wasn’t making any money from the site but I wasn’t bothered much, seeing that I didn’t spend a dime on it as I was using the Blogger platform. I spent hours and hours every day uploading content and tinkering with the site. It was my first baby and so I pampered it a lot. I began to get worried over time as the time I put into the blog wasn’t yielding any sensible results. Very few comments were coming in, my traffic was rising and falling and I thought all I needed to keep on doing was updating posts and it will eventually work out. That was when I heard of AdSense. Finally, a way to make money from my efforts! After going through a rather rigorous process to get my AdSense approved (that’s a story for another day), I thought finally now the money will come rolling in. Still, AdSense proved me wrong. I wasn’t making any sensible money from the system. That was where I knew I was doing something wrong. I stopped updating my blog in October the next year and decided to take the time off to learn the basics of blogging and how to make money from it. I didn’t want to make peanuts anymore. I wanted an income that will justify all the hours I had been spending. So I went in search of that information, spent a few bucks here and there in the process. During my months of research and learning I discovered many things I didn’t know about blogging and learned from other people who had made the same mistakes too. So I decided to put all my knowledge and past experience together under one platform and to help other bloggers plus people who are new to blogging to achieve their goals. Maybe you’re blogging because of the money, or you’re like Abdul and you want to dominate your niche. The advice I give here is basically a guide in the right direction and sort of a road-map for newbies who want to achieve huge success in blogging. Ok, let’s begin, shall we? *** Choosing the right niche – Miss this step and don’t bother about blogging. I keep getting questions about choice of niche for blogging. To make this post as short as possible, I’m going to summarize what it is all about. You have to locate a need that people are willing and able to pay money for, and then provide a solution to that problem. Read also: How to find a profitable niche for your blog After choosing a niche, you need to find keywords related to that niche that people are searching about. A free tool for doing this is Google’s keyword planner tool. I can also carry out keyword research for you if it’s too much trouble but you need to know the basics first. Now about interest in your niche, this tends to cause arguments. Some people argue that you should only blog about what you love while others say you should focus on the money. For me, I suggest you find a balance between what you love and what people are willing to pay for. If there are already people in your niche, you need to study what they are doing to know how they are making progress and also to detect areas where you can do better than them. I offer free advice on how to build profitable blogs. Add me up on Facebook @ Facebook.com/keneboy96. Please don't request for ebooks or make outrageous demands, my desire is to show you how to make genuine income from blogs not gossip style or pointless adverts |
Nice insight OP. another recommendation is to join a community of like minded individuals who are committed to creating value from blogging. One good example is the bloggers lab group on Facebook. Its time we correct people's notion about blogging and online business in general. Once you mention online business, the first thing a Nigerian pictures Is scam. Once you mention blogging, the first thing they picture is gossip and Linda ikeji . someone has to curb this trend. Blogging is relatively new in our climate, and we're already making terrible mistakes about it. |
This is a post i wrote this morning on Bloggers Lab . A lot of people have added me up over the past few days asking for advice. I'm glad my words are making sense to some people. Note: I have come to notice most of my advice doesn't settle with some people's beliefs about blogging. I'm not here to counter anybody so please if you don't agree with my points of view, raise valid points or just look away. I don't condemn any niche and I'm only looking to help those who need my help. Now about niche selection, we need to understand something vital. Sorry to disappoint most people who have been asking me for niche ideas. The key is find a market, and fulfill their needs. Now some people may argue that you don't have to be interested in the niche of choice. This may or may not be true in most cases. Let me give an example. Take the fitness/weight loss niche. I am very excited about fitness and spend a lot of time at the gym. (Evidence is my profile pic). Some guys even ladies at my school who see me often ask me how I work out, my routine, how I manage to stay committed etc. Some have even expressed desire to pay me if I teach them. That's a perfect example of when your interest meets needs. I started a blog a while back about weight loss. My motivation to start it was my dad. He'd always see me gyming and ask how he can get his tummy flat like my own lol. I realized this problem applies to many other big men in his age bracket so I made a blog about it. If you gain trust and attain respect in such niche, trust me you'll be an authority and these people will not only promote you, but will buy any product you market because they believe in your word. I should slow down a little. If you've found anything i said interesting or confusing, please drop your questions or comments below. |
The problem lies on multiple layers. I expect my brother to go online and search for solutions when he has a problem. I can't expect my mum or dad to have time to do same that's where marketers come in. Secondly, Nigerians don't do their due diligence. How can you buy something from somebody with no credibility? It's like going to a market and buying a phone from a street hawker with a mask over his face. Nobody in his right senses will do that. Offline is very similar to online biz. You only buy from reputable people with shops in a good location. So you should buy online from people with good online presence. Another thing is authority. If I establish myself as an authority in something, people have no choice but to come to me. I visit sites like cnn and even Linda ikeji not so much because I like them but I trust what they have to offer. Then the get rich quick syndrome. Nigerians want it now and fast, and that's why scammers will continue to thrive for a long time to come. Most people don't implement the solution they get when it's starts taking time to achieve results and so move to the next big thing. I remember when I first heard of fiverr. I was enthusiastic about it but when I didn't start seeing results immediately I quit. Most of the people I started off with are now reaping the benefits in cash. So always try to stick to something for a while and find out what works. Another thing is the market. Most naija marketers give too much false promises and don't target the right audience.. Again scammers come in. Never believe something if it's too good to be true. And then audience, why would you target people who don't need your service? If I wanted to sell an info product, I wouldn't pitch the idea to my junior bro cos he'll just go search for the same thing online. Same goes for our youths. They've got lots of time and no money and you need people with money. So you definitely can't pitch a 10,000 Maira product to them and expect sales. Match your price with your audience. Lol I'm beginning to sound like a marketer myself.. Anyways I'm working towards building credibility in my own niche market. You need a niche market to target and operate in if you ever hope on succeeding in your online business. |
akeensbussy:The busines you do, do you go about teaching anybody who wants to start if for free? It's just an avenue to make more money and please I'm not defending the info marketers here. Money is money. Google makes a ton of money per year. Does that stop them from charging advertisers? Definitely not! |
Darkchocolate:Knowledge is free I agree with you. But even Google won't be making any money if they gave out all their knowledge for free. Buying online isn't for everybody it's for only those who are ignorant of a problem and want solution or people who are too busy.. For example I fix software problems on phones and laptops.. Most of the solutions are easy enough to find online with a simple Google search.. You don't expect me to tell people who come to me with problem to go search for the info themselves. They'd appreciate it if I charge a token so that's how it works. |
I don't know what to even comment. And now his watch is ended. Or so it seems. Looking at King's Landing, I'm sorry for those pitiful people. Cersei is a cold blooded beast they should know that by now. She didn't even confess to incest. A sinner to her last breath. Can't wait to see how she's gonna use her awoken monster toyman. Lol |
Please guys I need help in porting miui ROM to tecno h7. Any help will be appreciated |
I want my cake thats all |
Royal155:They'll always be doubters I said so. I negotiated with a seller on alibaba to send me 5 samples at that price. I shouldn't be telling you this sha since you're a doubting Thomas but for the sake of other unbelievers |
Hmm..can't believe I took time to read all the comments here. Some were helpful, others were not. I'm going to advise the OP as a student to a fellow student. Hmmm Have you started work on any of the ideas posted here or are you still waiting for someone who will bring the ultimate business idea? Truth is, you've just got to get up and do something. It may not give you money at first but its still gonna be profitable, profitable in the sense of experience. I didn't start any business till now my 300 level because I was busy procrastinating. So go start something today my man By the way, for those who don't know or choose to doubt. Its possible to begin importation with 10000. How, you may ask? I began mine with 5000 flat. Believe it or not. How did I do it? I imported 5 pieces of USB flash drives 8gb at 500 each, waited for 15 days for free shipping, went to the post office here in Enugu to pick it up and took it back to school to sell at 2500 to people who were already waiting for it. I made 10000 profit upfront by selling under a week. Sure, I know its hard to believe but its the truth and nothing but. Feel free to use my advice bro PS please I don't sell any info book so please I won't welcome pestering of any sort. I just shared what worked for me and may work for you too. Just kidding pm me if you need more information. True wealth belongs to does who are always willing to take risks |
