Edo commissioner died on top of woman - IG
Chris Agbambu, Abuja
Friday, April 18, 2008
THE controversy surrounding the death of the Edo State Commissioner for Information, Calus Enoma, last month may have been formally laid to rest as an autopsy reportedly revealed that he died a sudden and natural death.

The Inspector General of Police, Mike Okiro, who announced this on Thursday while briefing the press, said that the autopsy carried out by a team of pathologists, revealed that the late commissioner died as a result of severe respiratory tract infection with acute cardio-respiratory failure.

According to the police boss, the police investigation into the matter revealed that the late commissioner was in the hotel with a female friend, a student of the University of Benin. Both were said to be in the hotel room without any luggage.

According to him, “from the foregoing, it is evident that the death of Mr. Calus Enoma was natural and not caused by anyone as widely speculated by the general public.”

Answering questions on why the female friend did not report the incident to the police or the hotel management, the IGP said that the lady said that she was confused.

According to Okiro, the lady said that while they were together, the late commissioner started gasping for breath and she tried to resuscitate him by pouring cold water on him, but all to no avail.

Subsequently, the lady absconded, but was traced to her house and when they got there, she had hurriedly packed out to a new town where she was eventually located. She explained all that transpired but that she did not know what to do.

The IGP added that when the report of the sudden death of the commissioner at Precious Palm Royal Hotel in Benin, Edo State, was reported on 29 March, he immediately ordered a high powered investigation into the incident with a view to finding out the cause of death.

He gave the names of the pathologists that carried out the autopsy as Professor J.You. Aligbe, Dr. Darlington Obaseki, both of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, and ACP (Dr.) Wilson Akhiwu, a police pathologist.

Those who witnessed the autopsy, according to the police boss, were Dr. Wilson Imongan, Commissioner for Health, Edo State; Dr. Ekunwe, Medical Director of Suyi Hospital, Benin City, who was the family representative; Dr. Ogunbir, another family representative, Dr. E.O. Odiase, the late commissioner’s personal physician, and Dr. A.P. Osemwenkhae, Edo State Commissioner for Commerce, who was the government representative.

Others were: Dr. Folus Ejele, Special Adviser to the Governor of Edo State on Health, who was a government representative; Dr. Aibangbe also a government representative, and Inspector Lucky Natuke, the Investigating Police Officer.

However, a minor drama ensued after the IGP had finished addressing the press, when the younger brother of the late commissioner, Cornelius Enoma, said that the family disagreed with the report as his brother just returned from Singapore for a medical check up.

But the IGP told him that the issue was a medical matter and not an engineering issue, as he claimed to be an engineer.

If you woke up one day  beside Iyabo, you will be lucky not to have a heart attack.Look and weep
Easy to stay in the seclusion of your bedroom and write crap about people, huh? But you cannot face them and tell them that. More like all those agberos that call you names in Nigerian markets when you refuse to react to their hollering. I see inferiority complex and yoruba hatred in motion here. Leave Iyabo alone, she's not only not in your league but she's got no time for you. I'm out.

too much verbal diarrhoea, post the picture and it sufficeth us. Iyabo can also make the same claims, it doesnt change the fact that the vast majority consider her looks unsightly.
Does majority mean it's true?  was Jesus not crucified when your 'majority' accused him for what he didn't do? Didn't the m'majority' vote put Obasanjo and yaradua in power? Majority? abeg!

The way you were defending Iyabo made me think there must have been a 'kindred' spirit. It was like members of the Sisterhood of Wowoness sticking up for each other.
What a perverted premise! Does that mean that KoboJunkie that kept defending companies that share pads has a share in those companies? Does that mean that people that are against the death penalty are murderers? I don't need to cast Iyabo like some of you to inherit a positive energy. I'm a lone ranger and can never be anybody's stooge. Welcome to Funmilayo's world.

A woman in touch with her feminine side is not an eternal slave, rather she's a jewel to be treasured and pampered.
Pamper yourself abeg; I am not for that kind of pampering.

Women are systematically degraded by receiving the trivial attentions which men think it manly to pay to the sex, when, in fact, men are insultingly supporting their own superiority---Mary Wollstonecraft

Not at all. As far as it is not garnished with self deceit
Your claim here is not scientific because I wonder how you drew the inference on how I am not hot when I personally told you that I am gorgeous? Do you have any other proof on the contrary besides a very big mouth?

4Play and 4Him again attacking Funmi with their belated warheads. Who is who? Y'all are confusing me.
RomanceRe: Moochers by Needlelady(op): 6:47pm On Apr 18, 2008
I'd rather have a woman who cries and sometimes needs to be petted than a machine lady anyday.
Of course, because you want an eternal slave who will submit her body and womanhood to the auspices of your greedy male desire. hmmmph!

Funmi is hooooot and I know it hurts your overt male machismo. Go f***k the mouse!
RomanceRe: Moochers by Needlelady(op): 6:46pm On Apr 18, 2008
Calling someone a "machine" isn't exactly a compliment unless you are in some sort of menial job.
Does it matter what I do as long as am not selling my body? Does it? Poor people no dey your family? or do you want me to maintain a high profile I cannot afford and substitute it by sucking your peewee? Men and their vehement effort to keep woman in 'their' place!

Yesterday na all men are gay, 2morrow most men have small abunna , today na some kind yeye moocher's attitude.

WHAT SORT OF AREA DO You LIVE IN? You seem to be attracting a weird set of men.
Why must I be attracting all these men especially when I am so hooooooot? Is it not the Funmi that some of you claim has no man when I have a very very masculine boo in my bedroom kissing my apple ass.

By sillyboy,
I am not denying the fact that a man is expected to take care of women. But I need you to understand that in scenario like this, the woman is expected to be totally submissive to the man.
Why should she be totally submissive? If you take care of her financial needs and she takes care of your emotional needs, is that not a symbiotic relationship? What else do you want?  Your taking care of her needs is your civic DUTY as a man but it's not a civic duty for a woman to take care of any man in any CULTURE in the world.

Excellent Point!!!

Many of the anti-masculine aggressors on nairaland have pretty much nothing to show but failed lives, lost years and dead relationships.
But hey this is an online forum so we can claim to be living our fantasies. . . init?
It's you that is taking the mooching thing so personal that looks suspicious. Are you living off your woman/man(if you even have one)?

. . .ahem. . .
my dear OmO eKo
are u very sure this generation is very useless?
This generation includes the females. Why not ask a 25 yr old lady the same question and im sure they wont evn have all those you listed up.
They are busy trading away their honey pots for N5,000.
I think, you have not been able to beam your searchlight to the appropraite quarters
a lot of young upwardly mobile professionals are doing superbly well in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

Disclosure: some Nlders i know are doing good and they are not 30 yet
need i say more?

@Topic
a lady can be a moocher. .
Giving should be a symbiotic thingy. . .the man gives, the lady gives when she can.
A lady foolishly and stupidly living off the guy should be called a moocher
Nobody is supporting prostitution but our agro is those guys that have completely forgotten their mission and shamelessly live off women. They should be stripped naked and disgraced. That's why most of them turn bisexual these days instead of looking for a job because most women are saying no to their exploits.

Nigerian officials/Senators/Diplomats do not have time to look out for their fellow Nigerians.

To date do we even know what the official count of Nigerians who on 9/11 was?
Why are we wasting our resources on them?
RomanceRe: Moochers by Needlelady(op): 5:10pm On Apr 18, 2008
I want to ask the ladies a question, does being a woman gives you the right to be a "moocher" ?
It's unethical for a man to live off a woman. Women are used to guys taking care of their needs and it's the right thnig to do unless she wants to be independent like me so this your reasoning will not cut any water for you.End of story.
