Properties / Re: Building A Four Flat: Need All The Help And Advice I Can Get by nellend(m): 10:33am On Dec 27, 2016
AfroKnight:

Obviously you have never worked on a project the proper way. Go and learn how the building team works. All other professionals are subordinates of the architect on a building site.

Op, the type of quacks u need to run away from is @jeftalane or so. Lot of people knows nothing about construction n they claim they do. Imagine saying architects dnt supervise others, that's under statement. U need to learn more

The architect wanting you to excavate to that extent is very right. Did you say by book only, you will know his worth when things go wrong which I pray wouldn't happen. Architects are the chief builders and lords of any construction, those who know their importance dnt toy with them but if u blive an artisan over a professional then you are on a very long tin. Am an architect n wouldnt mind offering u some professional advice freely. #peace
I'm in Ibadan for now as well

Properties / Re: How To Build Your Comfortable House Earning Little by nellend(m): 1:29pm On Dec 08, 2016
Well said @op, but Im strongly against the idea of not getting your survey and housing approval done. The devil you run away from today wil still come back to haunt you.
Time changes as well as government, the incoming governor might come with new rule and your approval fees might have skyrocketed by then.
2.you are sure of your land ownership and u know if it's government acquired land or if another person has acquired it before if the person has done approval before cause survey can't be done twice for same land exceptby change of ownership .
I strongly advise u start processing your approval at most once you start the project.
Am an architect and I know the risks and advantages it comes with.
However, your right up is very very on point and hood for people on other aspects.

Religion / Re: Evil In The Church; My Experience At Dunamis, Abuja. (pictures) by nellend(m): 4:53pm On Dec 04, 2016
If we were there to see how this op related with the usher, am so sure it was rude and maybe like imagine an ordinary usher telling me where to park oh.
2. Had it been your car had been stoled after service, u won't be here crying for deflated tires
3. If u can't follow instructions even in the church, I imagine the type of person you will be at home, work or elsewhere, u will be the type that won't hesitate to slap a fuel pump attendant at the gas station because he/she is a low life person.
3. Must time, we don't see what this people that controls traffic in churches/mosque faces when everywhere gets muddled up as a result of stubborn vehicle owners like you that knows how and where to park best and you will still be the ones honking like u never had a toy when everywhere gets jam-packed.
Mind you, this pple r doin this for God n nt getting payed. Far more better than u that comes to warm benches and do fashion show on Sundays only
Like u said, u could have beaten the usher that deflated ur tires had it been u met him/her there. U not a good believer.
No one is perfect, myself included. Just a lesson for u to be obedient.

U are freeto attack me as many as u are.

Politics / Re: Church Goers In Asaba Forced To Return Home Following Bad Road, Flood by nellend(m): 6:19am On Aug 29, 2016
Somtoo, talk to your people and not the Governor or government. NO HOUSE IN ASABA HAS a DRAINAGE, ARE YOU GUYS THAT behind DEVELOPMENT/CIVILIZATION. START FROM YOUR HOUSES with good drainage AND LATER COME TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR HELP. I'm in asaba right now and I shake my head on daily basis due to what I see. walk between two houses n u see everywhere flooded due to unavailability of drainage and u people know you are a riverine area.
Don't misinform people, start from your houses and see what happens. From your pictures too, is there any sign of drainage system? How do you now expect water to drain, to jump on the roofs n flow.
If u can afford to build a house/church worth millions and to construct drainage is a problem. NA UNA SELF U DEY DO. U GUYS NEED SENSITIZATION.

Properties / Re: VERY IMPORTANT: Mistakes Architects Make And Should Be Avoided by nellend(m): 9:52pm On Jun 28, 2016
@joshua112, I strongly oppose your write-up classifying architects into Site & office architects.
U went through same school system and same curriculum but specializes in different aspect due to job availability and maybe passion.
You did same anthropometrics which means he/she knows what you know theoretically and this are rudiments that every architects knows. Are you sayin that because an architect is confined to the office, he doesn't know building rules and regulations? Please don't mislead people here and don't devalue Architecture for us. And mind you, I have come across people that does three dimensional drawings 3d and are not architects. Many drawings are drafted by builders and draft men's.
And note, building regulation for some areas have been amended to suit the areas with little land but high population so as to meet up with the demands for spaces. Feel free to prove me wrong with facts. Thanks

Health / Re: The Death Camps Called Government Hospitals In Nigeria! How Ekene Lost His Dad by nellend(m): 6:18am On Jun 15, 2016
Encountered similar issue though he didn't die but the attitude of this health workers is nothing to write home about. Lackadaisical attitude, chewing gums are the best things they can do.
In uch then, 5patients died within 2days in my presence and the attitude of these health workers contributed to their untimely death. It's so pathetic that you pray for death to take some of the patients when u see them in pains and they don't get attended to.
Try beg them to attend to them, they will tell you to face your business there. Situations like this make me regret being a Nigerian. But this is not a matter of APC or PDP, it's beyond that.
May God help us, RIP TO UT DAD @POSTER
