Almost 1hrs ride on bolt in Benin is not up to 7000 naira Boss I hear ur argument and I feel for u guys my only issue is assuming lagos is like benin and wen we share our experiences u assume we r agents. Honestly I agree that prices upcountry are unfair y d app companies do that I have no idea being cost of pms is even more expensive. It's well bro. Hopefully things will change |

And we have a lot of bad roads here. Now this kind cars bolt say make who get comfort Camry 2009/2010 with standard AC dey struggle with for road every day. Omon and now aboki dey use this Yaris pass for benin to drive bolt No mind bolt ooo. 2009 Camry is too much for this hustle honest even Corolla sef is excellent but expensive for this hustle. Na tin sized cars fit this hustle 💯 |

Can you compare Nigeria economy of 2021 to 2024??
What about 20km fares on bolt in 2021 compare to 2024. Was there any increasment.??
I don't think any one currently on this thread can make that amount of 140k net monthly in Benin even in Lagos I still doubt .
Someone here argued with me this afternoon that frequent driving of bolt can't deteriorate your car. What oo.. did u say 140k net monthly or weekly. U mean a FULL TIME e hailing driver in lagos. Mehn sorry ooo benin ehailing has done a number on u. |

pope191: Make una no vex say I won advice oooo… good or bad, the person don make up in mind.
1. I personally feel newbies should not focus on too much profit or target. Make fun off driving. Take some time or week to know what work for him and what don’t.
2. To me it is important to understand the days that things boom. I necessarily don’t believe drivers should have specific daily targets, but weekly. Some days are superb and some can be wishful. In all, there’s always a carry over. Using Indrive as yardstick… if 250k weekly is the target? Then, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and be the peak days. Pick like 2 days in the week as make up and car maintenance. Baba this thing wey u talk no be for only be for only new bie. Anyone who want to make something from this thing must make fun of driving. Gratefulness not being bitter with the way some complain and lament I can't even imagine sitting in the same car as a rider. Dem go use frustration wounjure rider. Bitterness negativity..etc. Make everyone do wetin dey make dem snore for night abeg. Respect bro |

WareLogMan: In addition to what Doris4ever said, no road side parking's pls, only use approved parkings. When you take riders to the airport, just drop off, don't pick riders anywhere around or within the airport, not even airport road except airport park where you will be charged per hour. Always look up for one way routes especially yaba. Don't outsmart vehicles while traffic is moving gradually, you might be held for illegal change of lane. Hotspots for pick ups on mainland. Ikeja City Mall and environs, Unilag, Yaba, Shomolu, Ojodu berger, Magodo, shangisha, ketu ikosi, Simbiat Abiola way. Let me add Festac and alimosho sha Don't park anywhere around Governors office, mind the do not turn signage there too. When you get an order from there, let the security guys know somewhere order you from inside.
Avoid orders going towards Ikorodu, Magboro, Ibafo, Ilupeju, Gbagada express. You might not be lucky to get anoder rider from those locations back to metropolis, hence waste of fuel. Avoid any Otta destination no matter how juicy the offer lol.
If police ask if you are a uber, pls identify yourself as I driver. It saves lives. They understand from that perspective that you are an hustler. If being held by police men and you were faulty, plead all you can but if not accepted, negotiations shouldnt be more than 5k Lastma, negotiations 20k CBD negotiations 10k when taken to their office 15k VIO less than 10k but pray make you no jam dem. They can stop you for a document you have and ticket you for another irrelevant document you shouldn't have. All to extort.
Learn to use the Google map. Always use the express way. Avoid Mobalaji Bank Anthony way in the late evening.
All the best. God bless you. Me sef dey learn |

XGhost: I can only speak to my experience driving on Uber alone and driving in LAGOS.
My goal daily is 25k net. I start early between 5.30am and 6am I live on the island so I maximize the morning office runs. If I'm lucky I get surge trips but I really don't chase those. My goal is turnover to make profit so I don't do long trips. Also because I chase bonuses I mix my trips. I run lekki VI back and forth repeatedly. Doing this also reduces down time and mental fatigue which I think is part of what a lot of drivers complaining here experience. By midday when requests have reduced I can now start doing long trips. By this time traffic to and from the mainland would have nearly disappeared too so it pays me. By 12, I'd have done between 25 and 35k depending on how hot the hand is. Bear in mind my gross target is 50k (fuel 20, feeding and misc. 5k, take home 25k) With fuel at 1k however this will have to change but I've only driven a few days since the latest increase so I really can't say for now. Bonuses also work for me and I try not to miss them. I typically get 80k to 120k in bonuses weekly. I use it to augment any shortfalls. As long as there are riders and requests I think it'll pay. The margins may have shrunk but it'll even out in the end in my opinion.
My advice is find a routine that seems to work and exploit it to the max. Chase those bonuses, it's like free money. Even if all you use it for is to offset you commission payments. Chose you trips wisely, not all long trips make sense. Check how much the trip will net you and how quickly you'll get another trip, if it's to some parts of the hinterland. If I'm to take such a trip then it should pay me to the point that I can afford to drive out of the area empty instead of waiting till I get a trip out.
On a personal note, maintain a positive attitude, keep your car clean and in good shape and always look and smell good. This will reduce see-finish from riders. Have proper illuminating conversations with riders, if you must. If you're into offline trips you'll be amazed how many offers you'll get. My brother God will bless u for this beautiful piece. You see that your last paragraph it's too important. Me I dress wella. Like I'm going to a business/organization to work. Either native proper English sometimes sef I go full white shirt and tie sef . ALL I Repeat ALL riders dey bow. Before dem enter car dem dey greet sit straight . I get perfume steady fory car wey I no dey remove. Bro God has blessed us with life and good health we must avoid see finish at all cost. Sometimes I see some drivers and the way they look ehhh. Even d facial expressions sef the dressing unkept hair u know d guy is coming from a lot and still going Tru alot It is well sha. |

Nonsense app! They already told you guys they are fighting "injustice"
My last trip on bolt yesterday, 20 mins from Anthony village to kilo 7800, 800 bonus. The guy sef shock. It was 3200 on indrive Bros I insulted them today on customer service.
