I really don't understand this whole 2015 and2016 thread tingy... U guys make it sound like plots of land. Here or there, its benefiting. Matter of fact people as in NL laymen hardly go to 2015 thread, cos wen u do ur search for info, u won't ignore 2016 and jump to 2015. If people had gone to 2015 thread wlda gotten an idea of wen the scholarship was awarded. Simple saying we shouldn't be here draggin threads like its a plot of land. If u havr info, drop, if its complain, experience, etc, drop it. Nairaland has alot of space for it. Even if the pages on the thread get to 1million, don't think Osewa or his domain provider wld complain. Imagine how many pages u guys have wasted draggin for land. Smh.

Not to sound offensive. What my colleagues "NDDC hopeful " is saying is quite understandable, current scholars you can express your grievance on your thread because most of us follows it. Bringing it to ours looks selfish because only a hand full of you current scholars were able to find time to attend to our questions and we never came on your thread to flood it. Why do I say this, this apply to me, whenever I visit the thread I hope to read something about aspiring scholars and not what current ones are doing. And when I want to read how current scholars are doing I simply go to your thread. Thanks

Ceemac try to imagine if all this issue of delayed payment never came up on this thread, and u eventually get the scholarship and travelled without adequate preparation for back up plans and all. Just imagine.... And I dont know why we are thinking the 2015 scholars are using us to fight their fight. Most of this people whether the situation was hard or not are almost done with their program, so whether or not we get involved really should nt be their business, delay or no delay, nddc always pays, they can come back home and still get their money. so ur help is really nt needed for them, actually its u that needs ur own help and theirs. and for the record ur sentiment doesnt tally with abidats, he/she only wants to know wenthe list will be out, and that wont be determined by 2015 scholars. Someone already told us wen that of 2015 and 2014 came out, sept and august end respectively. Also c'mon u either just got the thread or u are probably just an ungrateful person if u say the 2015 scholars didnt show up until now. if not others that did nt mention, atleast we know of baresi, he has been here all along even before the test. I keep emphasizing we should be happy with the knowledge of the scholarship we are getting right now, it shouldnt discourage us but motivate us to prepare for the worst when we get it. For the list, Just prepare ur mind for august end/sept. Toprealman already said that. See u at the briefing.

Exactly my sentiments... There is a thread for 2015 Scholars and they should go there and channel their displeasure... Inasmuch as I don't wanna appear selfish, But it is seeming selfishness on the part of some 2015 Scholars that we called out prior to now to come show us the path... Many of them disregarded our calls when we needed them to help only for them to surface now with many irrelevant analysis that won't tell us when the list will be out...

Our system is not perfect we know, some of us need the scholarship even in their imperfection while we continually challenge them on many reasons why they should seek perfection...

As for the unpaid balances, complain on the 2015 scholars thread, many of us are on that thread and we will still see it... No need dragging us and giving us more tension of what happens after now when the hypertension of the list is overweight for us to bear at the moment!

I am not discouraged ni, infact my zeal to search for cheaper schools and in countries where jobs are easily available have increased, and I have started prparing my mind for worst case scenerio, even started booking money borrowing sloths from well to do relatives. All this they are saying here is to prepare our mind, and also give us the opportunity to make it better for our turn ahead

Go and read the advert again, what did they mention? did they say 30k as for only tuition.Truth is if u had the slightest knowledge of the scholarship, u wld have known that its the balance they are complaining about. Wait lemme ask. Are u awaiting the scholarship? I kinda tink u just stumbled into this thread or sometin. Cos i know prospective nddc scholars crave for details, and know all this tins.

What do you mean by the balance of school fees being paid separately? you haven't answered my question of whether NDDC promised to pay scholars extra upkeep money aside the $30k dollars we all know about. All of the complaints i have seen isn't about NDDC not paying the complete $30k, it's all about NDDC not giving them something extra. I don't know whether i read it properly or not but the advertisement for the scholarship scheme has never stated upkeep as part of the scholarship. He is free to voice out his frustration, i would do same but please don't expect NDDC to pay you upkeep they didn't promise in the deal. Oga I will correct you since you are wrong. U seem to know very little about the scholarship, its easier typing on nl than doing it for real. First of all the scholarship includes upkeep, but its the recipient determined. The idea is nddc pays school fees and send u the rest for upkeep, all within the 30kUSD. If your friend decided to go for an expensive school that took all his scholarship money, that means he knew he was gallant enuf to take care of himself. See the way u people are talking about working as if its all dat easy, esp wen u are schooling. Oh you think all this many people looking for their money are just lazy. People opted for cheap schools so they can get the change to cover bills. Its simply their money. Ask your friend, except his background is strong financially, he is probably in dept right now, or perhaps was in debt. Most people borrow to fund accommodation and other things before they travel, hoping on nddc paying their change for them to pay back. and nobody is saying anyone should be discouraged ooo @obsc. Dont be, I am also waiting for the list just like u, infact I am almost 100% certain I will get it because of the grace of God. But truth remains lets do any lil we can to make tins right, even if its as little as sharing the links on facebook, or quoting the thread on twitter, Nobody say make u go statehouse go riot.

Exactly. I don't think i remember seeing anywhere that NDDC is responsible for scholar's upkeep (correct me of i am wrong). I have a friend who was a beneficiary of this scholarship years back and he had to take care of his accommodation and feeding. Not to sound insensitive or anything but the people complaining about not being paid allowance for upkeep should find a way and hustle. Students are entitled to work permit of 20 hrs a week, which should be enough to take care of one's accommodation and feeding. I think the fellow complaining is either waiting for a professional enough job or something(wakeup brother!!!), meanwhile hustlers are taking up retail jobs or even care job to survive. Like i said again, correct me of i am wrong. Good luck to the scholars

Well .....Canadian schools seems not to be giving anyone with a 2.2 MSC admission..... Unless the school has PGD....which one can undergo for one year before proceeding for the program... Well, 2015 scholars should help me out.....I love to school in Canada.

Bro he said they have paid schol fees, they are waiting fr the balance of the 3ok dols for upkeep. Its not possible for them to be in the school wih out school fees na, most especially in the UK.

Those guys dont have past questions like dat. for agip just get any typical dragnet questions, infact if u have done shell online graduate trainee assessment before, thats wat its like. charts with data, and u use to solve questions, then verbal is passages with options to choose 2 of the most correct options. That kinda dragnet. buh more over, the agip test is done now, was 2 saturdays ago.

UK schools will keep calling you until everything is settled.This will be worse now because most Nigerians cant afford their tuition any longer.This is as a result of the dramatic fall of the naira to GBP.Hence,their Nigerian market has reduced considerably and they will tend to disturb the folks that apply to their schools now.

I can see most are optimistic and in high spirits.I wish u guys all the best.

Good evening,...@saouri the 500k was paid around 2months ago.However,some scholars are yet to be paid.You send your school's tuition amount and account details to NDDC,then,they pay the balance(If any) into your private foreign account.That is actually what most of us have been waiting for.The supposedly living expenses.In terms of survival,the maximum to work as a student is 20hours per week for term time..If you work 80hours(most times u cant cos of loads of coursework) in a month times min. wage of 7.2pounds per hour,dat is 576pounds .Rent in less expensive cities is about 240pounds with bills...Remaining 336pounds for transport,feeding,airtime,Clubbing etc.Not forgetting 'wahala' from loved ones back home ...Am not trying to scare anybody but that is just the reality.I just wish they can review the scholarship for you guys.Pay all the fees and give scholars at least 1k pounds monthly so that they can learn in peace. @ nairrasea congrats on your visa.I advice you make as much friends as possible who are waiting for the success text too.I told one of my friends that was already in abroad when I heard the person's name on the briefing day.Certainly there are paper works to be done.I do not think anything can stop the scholarship unless you restrain from following it up..

@emeroking,the total was 220(both MSC and PHD).Meanwhile,I do not know the actual figure for each.Having said that,I believe over 70percent went to MSC...Guess I had answered all....

Hon. Biggy, that was not the ish. Questions were not the ish, was info. They are diff. Wat I just gave now is info. In this interview self, who gives u question wants u to fail. Cos that wld make u go and focus on his questions, and I can take a bet that u wont even be askd half talk more of 1 of such question. Info is all that matters. Infos like read wide, but focus a lil more on current affairs, general knowledge, ur field of study for Bsc, and the field u are applyin for to go study. infos like T.fair, docs, those that were bounced and why, tins like that.

sorry for the late post, was interviewed yesterday, some prospective NDDC Awardees were asked 3 questions, some 2, some 4, I was fortunate enough to have received 7 questions, no current affairs, strictly on my course under Agriculture, no 2 people where asked the same thing, questions come sporadically and they dish them out that way. Just read about the basics about your course, wide reading on current affairs, and pray earnestly that God's will may be done. We all hope that God will manifest because at a time......... e no easy. Appearance they said attracts 5 marks so don't go around borrowing Jackets and Tie u would definitely look odd, come with yours. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.

Then believe me u shouldnt go for the interview o. My candid advice. So u want me to say the questions I was asked here? lol... it wont even help u, trust me. its where to focus on u need, I wld suggest u find someone who is applyin for ur course, thats the only tin closest to it. My point is the scheme of questions are so wide. From dams, to hills, to lakes, to politics/current affairs, to general knowledge, to sports and even thieves, someone was asked the most terrorizing criminal in Nigeria's history, then someone else African Player of the year,... so u can imagine how wide it was.

Oga dont Nigeria anything... The Nigeria u should be shoutin is our slow, and inefficient system. I am not sayin its scam, I know its not. But there is no need for this long wait. Its the problem we are always haviing in Nigeria.. Unnecessary delays cos of people's desperation. Processes in Nigeria should get faster and more exact and predictable. Not just Dangote, virtually everybody keeps u waitin. I have a successful interview since feb, that still waitin for the company to call for start work or next stage. Till now. thats the only 'Nigerians' u should be shoutin. We shouldnt romance and pamper our bad system. God bless Nigeria

I was to be interviewed but was told that my course was not included in the scheme. I was surprised to hear that. I told them that project management is the list of courses and they said yes but not for people from management background. Anyway I studied Economics in my first degree. That was my fate yesterday. From what I saw, the questions are easy, just on ur field and then current affairs.
