Lowee, Thanks a million,

I have finally been able to access my profile, thanks a lot. I knew i would always find a helpful nairalander. i appreciate.
I want to register for the june of 09 level 1 exam. looks like a lot of us nairalanders cam out tops in the just concluded exam. I am a computer science degree holder, however i have a bias for finance with emphasis in investment banking and financial analysis. Those of u who have already scaled thru the level 1 can drop some words of advise for those of us stil aspiring.

Nairalanders are great peeps.

Hi all. This thread has been really educative and helpful to we CFA hopefuls. please, i have been having a problem and i hope someone here can be of assistance.

I registered into the CFA website sometime ago but i didnt register for the exam. After the day of my registration, each time i try to login again with my login paramaters it refuses to open up and i have been trying to pay for the june of 09 exams before the 24th of september but have not been able to gain.

I have changed my password severally but d problem still lingers and when i try to register again it tells me that my login details already exists.

Is there anyother way i can register for the exams asides using the website, or is there anyway i can regain access to the website so that i can be able to register before the 24th of september

I hope someone here will be of help to me. I apprecialte you all.

AutosWhy Buy A Car When You Can Lease One by NemekGee(op): 6:17pm On Jul 04, 2008
Why would i want to buy a car when i can lease one and spread payments over the year(s).whatever the car, as long as its a brand new car, u chose it, we finance it and u spread payment across the board(from 12 to 48 months). I advise everyone to take advantage of this and raise ur status. its called making use of leverage. Here are some advantages of buying against leasing

Lower cost - Leasing conserves capital. Monthly lease payments are less than monthly purchase payments or monthly depreciation plus interest expense.

Flexibility - Payments can be matched to budgetary levels. Your business conditions - cash flow, equipment needs and tax situation - help define the terms of your lease.

Convenience - Leasing provides on-the-spot, one-stop financing for a total solution. Hardware, software, maintenance and asset management can be included in the lease.

It's easy - Leasing typically requires less documentation than bank financing and fewer internal approvals than a capital purchase.

Ownership - You can own the asset at the end of the lease

Protection against obsolescence - The lease can be structured to include upgrades and partial or complete equipment swaps either at mid-term or at lease-end.

Eliminates risk – The Lessor bears the risk through the period of the lease

Provides for off balance sheet financing - This potentially increases your borrowing capacity while easing the budgeting process and preserving key financial ratios.

Protects against inflation - Aggressive fixed-rate pricing allows for protection against inflation whereas variable-rate leases let you take advantage of falling interest rates.

Ability to customize payment schedules

Lease payments are fixed

Improved return on assets (ROA)

Lease rental payments are made from pre-tax rather than after-tax earnings

Leasing reduces your administrative cost

Leasing provides 100% Financing.

If you are interested in any lease, be it car or house hold items ranging from generators, air- conditioners, music sets, tv sets, laptops etc. you can contact me using teh contact information below.

InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by NemekGee: 3:30pm On Jan 16, 2008
I need some ideas here. I have some sum of money to invest into the market for a short term but i am confused as to which stock will be favourable for a short term run i.e about 2 months. Please, the Guru's in the house, ur candid opinion will be truly appreciated.

I have the following in mind though.

UNTL - after the money i learnt UBA injected in the textile industry
Livestock Feeds - Trend and market psychology
UAC prop - heard itis cheap and a good buy.

If you any ideas please keep me posted.

Thanks to all.
