Boko Haram, Kidnapping, Vandalism of pipelines and properties, maiming and killing, raping of innocent women and kids. Yet we desire growth! Common airports we have no single world class airport. No truly standard international roads. No fully functional and equipped schools or hospitals. Half baked graduates who spy on chokes written on papers, palms, laps, phones, other people's scripts or sleep with lecturers and students or Admin staff to pass.

And we wanna develop?

We have one of the most religious countries in the world yet we cheat our fellow humans on the same basis of religion. We go to church to look for girls to sleep with. We commit abortions like child's play. We look for government jobs or any job and steal/cheat on the job and we call it 'hammer'. I see young graduates/university students praying to get a job where they can 'hammer'. And you wanna develop.

Integrity is the bedrock of any people/Nation. No integrity no development. You need integrity to build credit, institutions, systems, learn and do business. No integrity no Nation. All we have is a joke held together by withering bonds of ethnicity, religious intolerance, bigotry and nepotism.

We must change for and by ourselves if we desire to see this nation move forward.

I hope my weeping can change to joy. It looks bleak. But I must hope. I must, because without that there is really nothing left in this nation called Nigeria.

All that is being said is that if you know you have no intention of marrying from outside your tribe, then DO NOT date anyone from outside your tribe or lead them on to think you have good intentions, only to turn round stylishly to dump them with some silly excuse!

Also, for thise who keep citing Biblical pieces to justify their position, then please note that there are still Jews that married outside their race. e.g. Joseph who married an Egyptian princess, and Boaz that married Ruth, who was from Moab. And all those Biblical conditions existed in the old testament. Those conditions were given to prevent the non-believers from polluting the faith & religion of the Israelites.

In the new testament, those who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and His work on the cross for their salvation have all become children of God by faith. So, those distinctions about not marrying from other tribes in order not to pollute their religion, would not exist.

Let me tell you a story
In the jos 2002 crisis, I took my younger brothers and my girlfriend at that time to my BEST FRIEND place for protection and so on. As I go about looking for a way to get a transport for my mother and sisters.

When I went back for them, danladi my best friend for 10 years together with his father and some other people have killed my younger brothers and my ugomma I leave to tell this story because by the special grace of God. He intervened few minutes before the killed me..

Even after what happened, I don't see an Hausa person as a bad person until he gives me reasons too.

Danladi choose to kill my loved once. It was his choice. An individual choice. And not an Hausa thing. Even now in battlefield in borno my partner in our division is an Hausa guy and I trust him with my life.

Having bad experience in the hands of few igbo men or women is not a good reason to condem an entire tribe.
