Last time I was in lagos, I was with several niralanders that wanted to buy vehicles,(used vehicles) and out of the 3 we inspected all three had rattling engine noises that would only be detcted by a trained ear the vechicles we inspected were spotless on the inside and out side, and had no CEL lit up. I will advice you PRAY hard, and look for an EXPERIENCED technician that would inspect the vehicle for you, also if it is a very modern car, going along with a diagnostic technician is also on point. Don't focus on just the engine, make sure you drive the car, ensure the transmission is not faulty, don't be greedy, buy fuel into the car (most cars for sale are always on empty) and run a proper test before paying for it.

If its a Nigerian used car, make sure you get the following from the seller:

1. Vehicle Licence
2. Insurance Papers
3. Custom Duty papers
4. Road Worthiness (Where Applicable)
5. Tint Permit (Where Applicable)
6. Proof Of Ownership Certificate

After you pay for the car, endeavour to get the following:

1. Receipt of payment duly signed by seller
2. Change of Ownership Document also signed by seller, yourself and witnesses
3. Proceed to complete change of ownership at the licencing office to completely transfer the vehicle to your name.

NOTE: Make sure the VIN/Chassis Number and Registration Number tally in all these documents. If there is a slight mistake, it could cause a lot of trouble for you.

If possible, make sure you meet the owner of the car and try to establish a proof of ownership of the vehicle. For example, checking the owner's driver's licence or International Passport (better option) to see if his/her name matches the name on the car documents.

I think when a lady likes you, she will respect your love and dignity and say Yes when she's sure you are In.

But when a lady doesn't like you, she will keep playing you around Until someone better shows up.

So Technically, Say No and give up on her when she's not giving you the vibes. Don't stay around, like a fool when she treats your approach like trash.

i just don't know how to satisfy this man he divorced my mom when i was 4yrs am now 18 buh my dad hate me....in a family of six he shows all my brothers luv....he always want me to work for him whc i ill obey unlike my brothers....he slap me infront of his freinds insult me call me names i swear i jux dont know what to do to please him...

As much as I love to fly, I almost always get airplane headache. I wish I could author a thread about this. A lot of people experience this but not many report it. This is because it mostly disappears about an hour or so after landing.

It is partly due to the disparity in pressure between pressurized cabin and inside of your ears which helps you maintain balance. Also, changes in altitude aggravates the headache and unbalance.

So it is not uncommon to have blocked ears and/or migraine, pains on the forehead, as if your head is gonna tear. It can sometimes be unbearable. But I doubt it has killed anyone.

Chew gum or pretend to chew sth or use earplugs to reduce this effect. You can plug your ears with earpiece too, but you can be sure the cabin crew will frown at this.

When going to the airport 2moro
1. Make sure ur there at least 1hr ealier.
2. Make sure ur with a valid I'd card or ur ATM with ur name.
3. Go to Arik body pass area for adentification (u have to give them ur Ref number and optain their own number)
4. Wait and listen for the announcer to call ur airline
5. Move to the security check desk for another pass.
6. Head to the plane with the number on ur ticket.
7. Check ur seat number and balance wela while taking ur selfiies.

This is another compilation by a nairalander and definitely more outrageous than Op's list.. my niece attends Lekki BIS and they teach nothing there. They follow the British curriculum and have no Nigerian programme in their calender... My niece calls it a big for nothing school.. Lol.

yeah, i know of that, i'm currently watching Fast "N" Loud on DSTV, so i knw vintage cars are very expensive and is for old people who like classics, i won't drive classic car free or $1000 a month..

I'd been saving towards that end, ever since I moved to Lagos started working, and experienced the horrible conditions of Lagos public transport system.

I couldn't decide whether to go for a 'small' brand new car, or a 'bigger', fairly used (Tokunbo) car. Based on popular advice, I opted for a 'clean' (at least it looked clean to me) Tokunbo Honda Accord "Discussion Continues" from Nigeria Ports Authority (Tin Can Island), Apapa.

However, I've spent a whole lot more than I bargained in fixing one stupid thing or the other in the car; from buying a new battery to replacing one of the fans, filter, wheel balancing & alignment, etc.

The worst part is that I have not even driven my car; haven't even as much as touched the steering wheel of the car; I've been too busy lately, preparing for a professional exam. Only my cousin has been driving it for the past two weeks.

I dont think I'll ever buy a fairly used car again, whether na Naija used, or UK used...if e like, make e be for moon wey dem use am.

Next time, even if na Golf or Picanto my money reach, I'm buying brand new.

Na God go judge all these oyibo people wey go buy brand new car, come use am for several years, then send am come Africa.
