GodIsGreat21: I have been a silent follower of this thread and I must say that all the information anyone needs regarding Irish study is here! I applied for visa second week of July and by God's grace my visa was approved recently. Please if you are new to this thread, plan to read through from page 1 to the current page. It may appear stressful, but I tell you, it contains a lot of credible information as regards how to go about your application. So make out time to look through this thread as I feel every possible question has been covered.
I want to also mention that it is important one learns to be proactive about his/her application. If you have applied, don't wait for notification by email, call or sms before you begin checking the status of your application online. Weekly decisions are released every month here: https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/nigeria/our-services/visas/weeklydecisionreports and sometimes you may not even get an email or phone call when your visa is out. So it is your duty to monitor and know when it is released and work towards getting your documents back.
For those applying for visa, please ensure you have every document mentioned for your visa type in hand. And make extra two copies of each. Also arrange them in order to avoid confusion when submitting. I was fortunate to have one of the staff at the VFs office help me, it was a lot of documents to handle at once, so better arrange them separately before going as some of them don't have patience to wait once it's your turn. Also include as much certifications or awards as you can as supporting documents in your application. Other information as regards what to submit on this thread are true. But still check this site: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/coming-to-study-in-ireland/what-are-my-study-visa-options/how-to-apply-for-long-term-study-visa/ . And please don't lie in your application. Best bet to be honest!
Above all else, after submitting last month, it was prayer season. Prayers work! Pray about it to the God you believe in.
I want to specially thank ICasNg and every other person who has made useful contributions to this thread. God bless you all and please say a prayer for me as I begin this next phase of my life. I wish everyone still applying or expecting a decision success in their endeavors! Nice to hear this good news, how long did it take for you to get a verdict? 3 or 5 weeks? Congrats.. We pray for success too. |

Rikze: Bro, you are the biggest fool. You may think I'm not Igbo. Being Igbo doesn't mean one won't speak truth to power when necessary.
People in the SE complain about the economic effects of the sit-at-home but here you think everything from IPOB should be swallowed hook line and sinker. They are humans and for that fact they can make wrong policies like they did. The reversal is the best option.
Grow up man!
Ya gazie!!! Oga no economic effect, we don't want Nigeria again simple and short, if we have to stay home all week, we should, between no movement in East now. Take ur useless truth to your asss, at the end - majority opinion is all that matters |

Sarto: Yes they refused the application stating Financial Documents Birth certificate by NPC
in the financial documents, they didn't specify where the issue was as regards to both my statement of account and my sponsor's statement of account. So I'm a bit confused in this regard as to which one I need to work more on.
Anybody here with better suggestions should help, please.
PS: my parents are working and they reside in Ireland and I'm using my mom's statement of account. wait o, Is birth certificate mandatory? or important because I didn't submit it, also saw it in the vfs list on how to arrange your document? |

Its a very strong and reliable car like every Toyota, but body parts might pricey because of the scarcity and it uses every internal with matrix and corolla. A very good and unique choice. |

Yasiin: Hello guys,
I got an offer from Griffith College sometime last month and by this week my tuition fees should be paid in full by my sponsor's bank.
Apparently, the next logical step for me is my visa application. However, I have some questions:
- Is it too late to apply for a visa? It takes an average of 6 - 8 weeks for visa processing and my programme starts on the 20th of September.
- After skimming through this thread, it is evident that accommodation is one of the major challenges faced by every prospective student (especially those opting to study in Dublin). Staying in one of the halls of residence provided by Griffith College seems like an expensive option. Also, staying within Dublin City Center is yet another expensive option. I have looked at the map of Ireland and I found out that there are suburbs scattered around Dublin. These places are highlighted on the map attached to this post. Is it feasible to live in any of these highlighted areas and commute to school via train? Which of these options is my best bet - school accommodation, accommodation within Dublin, or highlighted suburbs?
- Can I use my naira debit card (our everyday ATM card) to pay for my medical insurance on studyandprotect.com?
- I was oblivious of the fact that the Irish Embassy requires proof of English Language proficiency and no applicant is exempted from this. Since I require one urgently, how feasible is it to prepare for and take the Duolingo English Test within 3 - 5 days? Can my naira debit card be used to pay for the test?
- Will the services of an agent make the visa application process less stressful for me?
Thanks for your anticipated answers and contributions. When i need to pay anything exceeding $100,i buy and send dollars to my dollar prepaid account to pay with card. What's the exact plan one should pay for on studyandprotect.com please send me the exact url, everything about this insurance thing is confusing me and how much would it cost for a year academic session? |
