Politics › Re: Why The South-east Will Not Vote Buhari by netpro(m): 11:35am On Jan 20, 2019
- Buhari will get a lot more votes than 2015. Atiku will get far less votes than Jonathan did.

- Subtly and otherwise, South East politicians have their eyes set on 2023 and Atiku's 6 years Dubai plan jeopardizes that interest.

- From buying delegates to picking Obi, Atiku has shown he is not a team player. And may not carry everyone along.

- All the SE politicians who look forward to 2023 see Obi's elevation as an obstacle.

- Despite little support, Buhari has carried SE along. And all well meaning person will support Buhari.

- IPOB has also made things worst for Atiku.

In everything, Buhari will defeat Atiku with an indisputable margins.

Why didn't your smart Buhari decide to attend and outshine him then, I've seen smarter Buhari supporters but it seems y'all on this forum are just so dumb, no wonder you're called Zombie because sense is very far from una huh huh
Read the post again. Buhari does not need the debate. His works are speaking for him. That's why Atiku/PDP are panicking asking for a date, time and venue.

Bunch of losers. Abeg if you are doing anything for Atiku or the PDP, I encourage you to collect money first. They will never have NNPC to sell.

Gbam. Atiku is a diminishing and drowning politician, bereft of ideas. He was only there to attack Buhari, speak Chinese and promote corruption.

Atiku took into cognisance his political weight and evaluated the pros and con of boxing it out in a class beneath his status... It won't cos him to shine more... Rather give shine to his unmatched rivals
With this, you have justified why Buhari have no reason salvaging a drowning Atiku with his presence.

Come February, Atiku will be beaten black and blue.

My dear.. The principal aim of that form of debate was not to pitch policies as much as it is to pitch holes in the capability of your most valued opponent..

The president as well could have showed up to defend his almost 4 years in office as well as punch how's in atikus credibility...

The debate was purely between APC and PDP simple
Atiku had the opportunity to throw his weight around unrestricted. But knowing he was bereft of ideas, Eddie Murphy chickened out.

See upper cut

Prof Itse Sagay said Buhari won't attend the debate because Atiku and the rest candidates are "political dwarfs" and as such, Buhari appearing with them in a debate is just to give relevance to people who have no hope.
Nice punch combination. Eddie Murphy wannabe flushed any momentum he paid for in America away by not participating.

OP let me break it down:
If you are part of a convoy, as traffic clears for Oga, you too can drive through unrestricted.

Did you noticed Atiku was never alone nor attended meeting alone? Simple, it was a meeting for the Senate President's meeting aimed at projecting his aide.

I see Atiku and majority of his supporters shouting Biafra or Death in the next few weeks.

Atiku didn't chicken away as you have opined... He was available to debate head on with the only true principal opponent... Truth is the other candidates put together wont amass a total vote of 800k... So what's the need of giving them attention when they aren't a political threat to him... The true threat is buhari/APC... And vice versa..

The truth is that form of debate its meant to puncture hole in the credibility and prove the other contestant not suitable for the job... Unfortunately if atiku had joined the contest he would have experienced some attacks and he in turn can't attack back cos those guys are politically valueless...
So what's the need....

Atiku didn't lose any shine... That he flew back home for the debate is shine enough... He staying away from the debate was to maintain and keep the shine shinning...
So he only came to attack Buhari. Not to compete. Not to pitch his policies to Nigerians.

And you wonder why Presido stayed away from such absurdity.

Politics › 2019 Presidential Debate: The Winner Is President Buhari by netpro(op): 3:18am On Jan 20, 2019
Even without attending the debate, President Buhari wins the day. It was proved beyond every reasonable doubt that he is the only one that matters in this election. And Mr. President decided it was best for him to keep engaging the people directly. And it was a great outing in Jos.

Buhari's absence from the debate proved the other candidates are just in it for the side attraction.

The biggest loser of the day is Atiku. Whatever goodwill he got from visiting US as Saraki's aide and forming Eddie Murphy wannabe, was flushed away the moment he left the venue without participating in the debate.

Instead of ceasing the opportunity to shine, Atiku display his naivety, incompetence and shallow strategy. All Atiku had in mind was how to quickly sell national assets to his "Friends". Buhari's opponents were not there with plans for Nigeria, they merely went to drop talking points and take cheap shots.

royallord1:
You made one truth and a not so true statement...

Truth is buhari is at the centre of it all.. He occupies the office everyone is coming for... As such his absence was d deep blow to the success of the debate... But of course it proved the fact as we have always said that he was incapable of having a debate...
Never once has he had a town hall meeting, or a presidential media chat.. Never once...
Listen to all he says .. They are the same, if he isn't reading from a paper, he is always repetitive in his statements...

The not so true statement is that atiku participating in that event would have done more harm than good.. He would have been at the centre of it all, when he isn't the incumbent but a fellow contestant...
The other three contestant would have ganged up against him and spill so much lies and half truths that would tarnish the image, which only recently received a major rebranding by way of the USA visit..
He had more to lose than gain by literarily offering himself as sacrifice to persons who won't pull weight in the political scene at the moment...
- First, Buhari's absence was a golden opportunity for Atiku to shine, but he missed it. As a 2nd placed candidate, it was time to ride on his new Eddy Morphy screen role to over take the front runner. He missed it all.

- Funny you criticize Buhari for not being in a debate he will be the center of attacks, but absorbs Atiku for not stepping into the same position. If Atiku wants to step into Buhari's shoes, it includes the daily dose of insults, hatred and attacks by those that oppose him.

For chickening away, Atiku has disqualified himself from consideration.

OP you are wrong. Atiku's decision was ill-advised, a missed opportunity for him, disrespectful to everyone, a disappointment to his supporters, exposed his arrogance and cost him the election.

His tweets belittled him - without the presence of President Buhari, he was useless.

It is undisputed that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP has a case bordering on Money laundry and bribery in the United States. And for over 13years, Atiku was unable to step a foot in the US.

After Atiku's became the PDP candidate for the forthcoming election, efforts were on full gear to clear all the hurdles in his way and whitewashed his corrupt image. PDP bigwigs, US lobbyists and even former President Obasanjo were all drafted to plea his case. Atiku is currently in the US in a show extravaganza to bandage what is left of his image in the fight of his political survival.

But what should concern every patriotic Nigerian: What is Atiku and all those pleading his case offering the United States to avoid locking him up? What is it that on the street of Washington, Atiku is looking fly like Hollywood superstar, BUT in the meeting with US officials he looks very sober like a kid being chastised? Nigerians deserved to know all the things Atiku has promised the United States to look the other way. We already know he plans to sell NNPC and other National Assets to his Friends.

God bless Nigeria!
