. I disagree that reduced population will transatlate to wealth. Africa has been at a low population for many years before and the poverty was worse. Our increase in population on the other hand coincides with a little more wealth as governments start demanding a share in some of our robbed resourses, which if pulled out of the markets in EU and US, ALL economies would fall in the blink of an eye. This is about control of markets.
