Politics › Re: 8 Key Points In Atiku’s Acceptance Speech (PDP Presidential Primary) by newguy1(m): 7:49pm On May 29, 2022 |
auditor0471: I have said it and I will continue to say it. The delegates primary system is the greatest undoing in the present Nigeria. Imagine after getting my PVC and I have to wake up on election day to vote Tinubu or Atiku, because that's what the delegates say I should do because they have collected Dollars.
Mind you dollar suddenly went to N610 why the delegates must be settled in Dollars.
Atiku should keep his dead acceptance speech. He lost election went to Dubai spent over two years return suddenly to continue from where he left why because he has stolen so much he can buy any delegate election in Nigeria of today. spot on how can unknown delegate be d determinant of ur choice and we call that democracy ? I saw some of the delegate no offense some look dead n dying I even saw one on a wheelchair!!!! The first thing that will give me a glimmer of hope for this country is a constitutional change too many lope hole that favour those already at the top or political connect. It saddens me that our pvc is now meant for voting either atiku or another deadbeat APC ingrant. The youth of this country have no future here only depression and religion |

OtemAtum: Jazz does not exist. They used psychology on you. If you want to be unaffected by any of these things, always connect with your brain everytime. Have it at the back of your mind that prayers, curses, incantations etc are useless, so whenever they use any of them on you, just be saying 'make I hear' inside your brain while you smile outwardly. When they have finished, just waka comot and pour out your laughter. It has been like that with me on more than 20 occasions and I have never been affected before. Lastly, NEVER think that somebody you don't know will just enrich you from nowhere. So whenever anybody calls you that you have won or their is COVID palliatives for you, dont believe them. Waste their credit and end the call later. jazz no exist .............well na where u waka reach na where u go see pass! No let all this wokness deceive u if u r desperate to see one dare any street thug in yoruba land and write a book on y u think jazz na myth |

LogicBomb8: I didnt take my phone to church today as it was on charge, so when i returned i saw 2 missed calls one was from my jnr sister and the other was from a strange number.
So i returned the call from the strange number and it turned out to be a young man (from the voice) according to him his old father mistakenly sent #1000 recharge card to my phone and he was pleading for me to send it back.
I hung up to check my phone and almost immediately i received a text message with airtime pin and #1000, called back the number gave him the pin and advice him to be more careful after awhile the number called thanking me he also said his father (the old man who sent the card) wanted to thank me.
I greeted the old man and he sounded happy and was blessing me, my people this man was blessing me until according to him his credit wan finish so he suggested i give him a call. me not wanting to disrespect an old man and receiving blessing from the elderly (who wouldn't like that).
I called back and the blessing continued untill... guy it’s an odd format I think scammers from Ibadan nko area uses this format. Happened to me too n I fall it took and old man beside me to call me to caution before I fall for the trick. FYI jazz is involved with this people so don’t blame urself for not catching on quick that it’s a scam trick |
Phones › Re: Phone I Ordered From Aliexpress Is Being Held By Nigerian Customs by newguy1(m): 10:05am On May 19, 2022 |
onlinetrader: Hi Nairaland Family..
I don't know if I am the only one to have observed this. These days, when you buy items like phone from AliExpress, the tracking moves smoothly until it reads "Received by Local Delivery Company". Sometimes, when it gets to this point, it stays there forever..and if at all it leaves this point and you want to claim it in the local post office, you will be charged heavily by the people in the post office.
Bought so many items like a month ago, out of which was a Poco phone. All other items have been delivered except this phone which I first ordered. This phone got to destination country (NGN) on the 8th of May before other items...but till now, tracking shows it hasn't left the custody of Nigerian customs.
What is the problem exactly? Is it that the phone has been "hijacked" OR the process to clear items like phone is different from wears and other items?
Please help same here but mine is not that expensive I saw it had been received for over a month by Nigerian custom and till now I haven’t gotten it .FYI am waiting for mine too in ilorin . The last item I bought also took for 3 month and I had to pay 2k to collect and I asked for reasons why I’m paying double shipment fee only to be told it’s fast express delivery and the price is fixed. Buying online now is almost not advisable here in this country especially from oversea shops |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Interview With Arise TV On May 17, 2022 by newguy1(m): 3:15pm On May 17, 2022 |
Joezinho: Peter Obi is capable and experienced but thats the least of the factors needed to clinch the seat in Nigeria. Sad reality..
Every tribe would first of all vote for their own candidates before others. Forget about all these talks on NL.. Tribal and religious considerations would come into the fray.
Politics is a game of numbers. Peter Obi can only be assured of his people's votes and that isn't going to be enough to capture the presidential seat. Yoruba would massively vote for Tinubu/APC. That's the truth. The first major hurdle for him would be the clinching of the PDP candidature. Can he honestly beat Atiku or Wike in a straight fight at the primaries? These two would be spoilers for any PDP presidential candidate coming from the Southeast. After winning the primaries, can Peter Obi honestly rustle up 25% votes from 24 states of the federation and from 4 geopolitical zones? Apart from the Southeast, Southsouth and part of the North Central which other zone would cast its votes him?
I really would want him to win. pls stop making assumption on social media it’s part of what is spoiling this country. If peter obi can get his act together and do the needful yoruba will vote for him. Yoruba are very accommodating and if he can show them what he will do y not. All this yoruba will chose tinubu this and that is high time we stop that. we don’t (yoruba)do he his our son or my Muslim brother we vote for what we though is good |

Nice first half not much talking point, Zimbabwe needs to work on there counter attack n Senegal need to put in more energy in the second half. I think the second half can see both team try to get atleast one goal. Am not boreded about the low scoring just shows there isn’t much gap in between these African teams and it will improve as the tournament progress |
