PMG2024: Ask yourself, will USA change the name of Harvard University to honour a past president?
Will UK rename University of Oxford or University of Cambridge in honour of a late King or Queen or Prime Minister?
Will University of Toronto alter its name to immortalise a politician?
These are centuries old institutions of learning yet they have three things in common - excellence, consistency, and legacy.
We must stop renaming our educational institutions after politicians. University of Maiduguri is 50 years old this year for heaven's sake.
It is very wrong. Please who owns Harvard University? |

LagosOrigin: Tinubu is not sellable in the north , this is a well know fact right now in the north. The backlash is small compared to the monumental defeat awaiting tinubu in 2027.
Atiku has inherited buhari 12million votes so if the kebbi man likes, he should buy all the cars in the world for tinubu campaign, they will fail. Are you serious? Tinubu is getting more popular in the North than ever before! |

Ofunaofu: Just as it was in 2015, it is even worse now. Nigerians are more resolute in ensuring that this regime which has only succeeded in dishing out wicked and draconian policies masquerading as economic reforms does not spend a second beyond May 29, 2027. The current coalition is merely a vehicle through which Nigerians intend to achieve that goal.
Go to the streets of various cities in Nigeria; it's the same chorus everywhere: 'Anything but Tinubu' is what they want. That's in your wildest imagination, majority of Nigerians are with Mr President, I'm talking about legitimate voters not the lazy ones crying hunger, hardship because they can't get more money for their flamboyant unproductive living! |
Politics › 2015 Coalition Versus 2027 Gang Up by NewHe(op): 11:35pm On Jul 17, 2025 |
In 2015 it was Nigerians against the PDP via coalition and eventual merger of political parties but this time around it's going to be the gang up of Coalition of Men Against One Man! Mr President, please don't despair because; "A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone" (Psalm 91:7-12).

Yorubas honoured the dead, we believed they are seniors to the living and might be going to become owner in contrast to stranger or new comer! Therefore, Yorubas are preparing for their own departure one day to be received by whom they have honoured in death! If OBJ, Babangida and rest kpai today, it's going to be same by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu! It's not political! |

Svoboda: Tinubus role in Buharis burial was well choreographed to sway northern opinion towards him. It was a sharp contrast to the consistent criticism of Buharis tenure and the blame he received from Tinubus people.
The fact that Tinubu reversed most of Buharis programs tells the story clearer.
Talks of "we inherited a broken economy" were actually targeted at the same Buhari they accused of bringing only 12m to the table. Mention some of the programs or policies he reversed? |

Celestialsword: This is not about the type of economic system Nigeria is practicing.
Atiku said the removal of fuel subsidy brought so much hardship in the country.
All the promises made by the government to cushion it's effects like the increase in minimum wage were never fulfilled.
As you read this, many federal parastatals haven't received the promised minimum wage, infact some of them are owed three months salaries.
What is the government doing with the subsidy money plus external loan taken, crude oil sales, and all these new tax regime imposed on the masses.
Atiku want them to pay wages that can cushion the effects of the hardship brought about by the fuel subsidy removal and other wrong and ill timed policies Many agencies and federal parastatals ,how? Can you just named 2 oe 3 of just parastatals? And how many are working with FGN? Atiku is just aiming to be seen to be talking! |
