psrsx: Hello, please, I am 34 years old. I have a master's degree in Biochemistry from a Nigerian university. I am currently in a Nigerian nursing school to get an RN certificate. How do I go about traveling to Canada as a Registered nurse when I am done? Thank you You're at the right path, finish your nursing school then work for at least a year then you evaluate your msc biochemistry and use nursing practice as your work experience that automatically puts you in the in-demand health streams |

My candid advice for those pursuing admission into mbbs is look elsewhere In the college of medicine try courses like Med lab, nursing, pharmacy , physiotherapy etc instead of wasting time the overall goal is for an efficient health care delivery |

Rgade: You still didn't explain how you application for medicine and got Engineering. Anyway if you don't want to waste anymore time on admissions (which I recommend); then sure do take up the engineering course, it's equally has wonderful prospects. But like I said earlier, you must work extra hard in your first year to make up for your maths and physics deficiencies. That's if you want to be an A student though. If you don't like stress, you can always breeze through the course work and be on your way. I'm also confused as you're because I wrote biology instead of maths |

I was admitted into engineering though I applied for medicine and this my 4th year out of school I've been rejecting series of admission and I'm afraid of rejecting this due to pressure from family members but I'm good in physics, chemistry and biology but average in maths so please what's your candid advice for me |
Education › Re: Engineering (elect Elect) Or Nursing by NewJ6322(op): 2:29pm On Feb 05, 2021 |
Rgade: I don't understand. How did you apply for medicine but got offered engineering? Isn't it a Nigerian university that jamb subject combination rules don't apply there? Anyway if your strong point is bio medical sciences, why are you even considering engineering? The medical field is a very wonderful one. Your chances of getting a job is far above average, with good pay and high job security, nursing being almost at the very top. If you don't know maths or physics; you can still study engineering as long as you're prepared to work thrice as hard as everyone else in your first year. However if you are afraid of those two, then you might as well give nursing one more shot. ls my 4th year out of school that's why I'm afraid of rejecting the course I'm not getting any younger |

Education › Re: I Applied For Nursing Science But I Was Given Electrical Electronics Engineering by NewJ6322(op): 5:51pm On Dec 12, 2020 |
engrjosefz: Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a very good course and I am sure you won't regret taking it. I am currently a 500L student of EEE, The course is not as hard or scary as people perceive it, you don't need to be a genius or extra brilliant to do it, it's very practical and with time you will love everything about the course.
Just make sure you give it a good head start in your 100L because you're doing all the basic Elementary Subjects in secondary school. Don't be afraid of Mathematics and Physics because this Courses are essential for you as a science student.
What you need to do now is finding ways to sharpen your brains and charge up to take the EEE as it comes. Get previous materials from your school, get past questions, get your hands on textbooks online, access YouTube for tutorials on any topic, and you will be fine.
I hope this will help you to make a decision about settling down with EEE. thank you in which school are you studying the said course |

LordIsaac: Truth is, every class you attend would be like the tutor is doing magic. You will be expecting a miracle after every exam and in 200level at most, the department itself will withdraw you. That will be the beginning of a 10-year journey for a five years course. School is meant to be fun and predicated upon interest and competence. Don't gamble on Maths... Your Waec experience should let you know better if you did it yourself.. I am good at calculations but not excellent |
