Your post is not balance until you also state the disadvantages of card trip to both parties.

Some months ago I started a card trip without the rider being on the car after rider and I had argument on the phone... Disadvantage of card trip.

The other time I reported a driver here who collected 3500box from a rider despite the trip being card... Disadvantage of card trip

I've carried an elderly woman from Sura to Lekki on trip and she still wanted to pay me cash but I informed her it's a card trip so she doesnt have to pay twice. I know some drivers will collect that money....another disadvantage

I've heard drivers not ending trips afyer drop off simply because trip payment is card... Not all riders knows or have time complaining about trip/adjustment... Another disadvantage

I can go on and on...

There's nothing like time wasting for cash or card payment... If a rider complains of trip fare tell them to channel their complains to the ride share complain simple.

The advantages and disadvantage of both cash and card trip can mever be over emphasize.

Solution to the problem is, let everyone stick to what work best for them and stop trying too hard to force a horse to drink water.

Me i prefer card anytime any day because i don’t like cash at hand but Some driver prefer Other wise so let’s not o over flock this issue.

I want to believe you both read where he said, the rider in question did not agree to show transfer details, that's enough red flag to put driver on alert. At no point should any one get so egocentric to the point of not doing the needful, I've had riders that transfer and request to wait till I get alert to go, I just tell them to never mind as long as I can see the transfer details.

And about stake2odds drivers; I don't think there is comparison here, no gesture of offence.

Note: I'm not saying she didn't transfer the money, but they r no wrong way to do right, so it is what it is.

I am not justifying her act but atleast give a benet of doubt that she transferred it and it was bank delay.


I once ordered a ride for my mum from Berger to Yaba, a cash trip, and wen my mum got dere, I approached d driver and told him I am doing a transfer, he was murmuring but I told him he will see d alert b4 he leaves and I will show proof he left after I tried several times.

but unfortunately Access bank did Rubbish dat day from 6pm to 10pm money did not go and my number I gave him was only available on WhatsApp but we exchanged hii on the WhatsApp. I believed he would have called called within dat period .

Later around 10:30 pm I sent d money and sent d POP to him.


Now assuming the driver was not patient and becos he called my line and no money yet, he decided to paste my number online as a fraudulent person.

What if she actually transferred and is bank issue... 9am or 8am to 11am is just too little to to post someone details online and tagged as fraud.

She might not pick because she is in church.

My Advice send her a text and atleast wait till evening

There are many ways to raise cash as a professional drivers.
indriver is one of the options. You will get paid on or at d end of the trip.
If rental or hp driver uses like 5k from the previous payment to buy fuel. I'm very sure he will have done a cash trip before the end of the 5k fuel.
But the ones that buys N500 - N1000 fuel usually have this problem of short of cash to buy fuel. (My assumption though I might be wrong)

God bless You Sir... Simple comprehension buy fuel that can last you two days, and you can't finish the fuel before you will have a cash trip that will fuel for the next two days.

If u haven’t don hp or rental den u definitely not comprehend why card trips r rejected. So ppl gat bills to pay daily n needs cash to sought themselves out, n cant wait till next week payment. Even sef bolt wont pay u ur money dey owe u till two weeks time n u tink d driver will be happy. So lets try to be comprehensive all d times n stop stigmatize drivers that dont want card trips. As am writing dis bolt has not paid me last week 10k and dis week own is about 8k n am praying dey pay me all dis week. So in such instances wat do u expect a driver do wen he gats bill to pay. Well for dis is very simple, complain to bolt, and dis is very rare occasion which occurs one out of 20... Not always justifying daily you want to reject cards trips.

Well to you, it Happened and ur funds were not released, last year it happened to me and after the block my money was released to me.

Ask around or do your survey ...90% of drivers on hp/rental will turn down a long trip which payment is card and most times their primary reason is related to fuel and not fraud.

I drove on rental for more Dan a year, and I always prefers card trip, infact the time I appreciate card trip most is Friday to Sunday, I always love it, it makes me to save and control my spendings.

Seek for Sub-distributor dealership of any fmcg you r comfortable with. If you make 70-90k monthly on ur 2M wt a peaceful mind. Is it not better than having BP over a driver that has not remitted? or looking for money to repair the car.

Though rebate mite around be 3-5%. But your seed fund ( wc cud hv bin dToyota corrolla) is safe n you will expand with time.

Actually if you re driving ur car urself on Uber ,U will.make ur monwy well... UBer /Taxify was never designed for Rental or HP. Na Niger factor cause am

That’s a very wicked thing to do, your lucky you are in Nigeria, if you try that nonsense in another country you will be arrested for it, when you are taking a passenger to a specific address and they ask for a detour, the system recalculates the detour and adds the cost to the final amount.
