A Father shared his story on Facebook of how his premature daughter grew up and became a full human with the help of God.

He wrote:

"My daughter was born on the 3rd of March 2002, 5 months and 2 weeks of pregnancy. She was premature. I had just finished my overnight job as a bouncer in a club in Germany. She weighed 790grams, not even 1kg. On seeing her tiny structure inside the incubator, I cried like I never cried before. I asked God, why, why me?

After crying out my heart, I realized only a miracle couid save her. She is the reason till today, why my faith in God is so strong. I laid my hands over her and prayed. I did not know what to pray about, but I prayed my pains onto God and begged God not to allow my sins/punishment for my numerous transgressions be passed unto my little girl. I made a vow to God.

3 days later I went and paid the vow to my Church to be passed unto the poor and needy. My Pastor prayed with me. I prayed that my daughter would leave that Hospital without complications hence the vow/deal with God. My daughter is 14+ years old now, straight A student, speaks 3 international languages already and she left that Hospital without complications.

What else can I say?

My pain as I saw it then was actually God's way of drawing me closer to come to know him and have faith in him to prepare me for the movement that was to come.

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has directed all Telecoms Operators to give 14 -days grace for subscribers to exhaust their remaining data after the 30 days expiration period.

Ms. Hellen Obi, who represented the Executive Vice Chairman NCC, Professor Umar Danbata, stated this yesterday, in Minna, the Niger State capital ,at the Consumers Conversation Forum organised by the NCC to sensitise consumers on the need to follow the right channel in resolving issues with their service providers.



The NCC also advised the consumers that if their complaints are not solved by their network provider they can call NCC and lay their complaints, assuring them that the commission will take up the matter and resolve it, including asking the service provider to compensate the subscriber.

“NCC has mandated all network providers to give their subscribers 14 days of grace after the 30 days expiration of their data if they still have data left and cannot recharge to get their data rolled over,” she stated.

Obi declared 2017 as NCC Telecom Consumer year as a result of the consumer’s importance to the growth and development of the telecom industry.

She added: “The commission which is the independent regulatory authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria declared Year 2017 as NCC year of the telecom consumer in recognition of the importance of the consumer to the phenomenal growth and development in the telecoms sector.

“The year of telecom consumer, which was formally launched by NCC Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, Danbata, is in tandem with the 8-point Agenda of the commission aimed to protect, educate, and empower consumers towards ensuring sustainable growth and further development in the Telecom sector.’’

Obi explained that the consumer conversation is designed to educate and inform consumers about their rights and privileges with their service providers.

The commission also articulated four strategic initiatives as key drivers of the Consumer Conversation including “Do-Not-Disturb” (DND) Service across all telecom networks, a service, which enables the consumer to stop receiving unwanted and unsolicited messages from telecom operators.

Others include, the NCC toll free Line 622, which enables consumers to report complaints pertaining to unresolved issues with their service providers, and improving quality of service.

She further said that the NCC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), which mandates the CBN to advise the banks on enlightenment of their customers on fake messages that request them to send their Bank Verification Number (BVN) or account details.

According to Newsprex.com, in a recent interview at Burma Camp, some women blamed their singleness on the timidity of some Ghanaian men, saying they (men) lack the courage to propose to them.

CSP Adekunle Omisankin, the Divisional Police Officer of Olosan Police station confirms that the Police and operatives of the Lagos state Neighbourhoood Safety Corps, LNSC have arrested 11 secondary school students suspected to be members of a cult group.

He said all the suspects belonged to the ‘Gang Star’ cult and fingered to be terrorizing members of the public with dangerous weapons.

Omisankin said the suspects claimed to have been in operation since 2013 operating as students between 17 and 18 years old. “One student-suspect was brought to our station by LNSC on Friday. Our investigation led to the arrest of 10 other students, including a female student,” Omisankin said.

The spokesman for the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps, LNSC, Adewale Afolabi, said that they had also arrested a JSS3 student, who was allegedly terrorising members of the public with dangerous weapons such as knives and machetes.

Afolabi said that the suspect, who resides at 243, Agege Motor Road, Ojuwoye in Mushin, Lagos Mainland, was alleged to be a student of a secondary school in Igbo Owu, Kwara. “He had been terrorising the people and students of the area. The LNSC operational team arrested the suspect following intelligence information from the public. He confessed to the crime and also exposed his 16-member gang by giving their names and their hideouts to the LNSC. Afolabi said that the suspect had been transferred to the Olosan Police Station, Mushin for further investigation.

A controversial video is currently making the rounds on social media where it was alleged that a man turned into a cow in Aba, the commercial city of Abia state.

According to some youths in the Ohanku Road area of Aba, an Hausa man turned into a cow when he realized that he was about to be attacked by angry Igbo youths.

In the viral video, a voice can be heard saying ''one of them just turned into nama (cattle) now and he is trying to run, we are pursuing it, we must kill it.''
