emkz: This is being clever by half.
A recent report also said that the enrollment of non-EU students in a third of UK universities dropped significantly, doubling on the decline from previous year. Because of the decline in international students enrollment which previously contributed to the revenue of universities, some universities have responded by cutting their work force while others have reduced entry standards to attract high-paying international students.
Another report which identified India and Nigeria as source markets for UK universities, stated that financial modelling by PwC "indicates that anywhere from 51% to 80% of UK universities could fall into deficit if international enrolments decline from 2024/25 onwards".
So while Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Home Secretary James Cleverly are celebrating the decline in dependants, they are afraid to highlight the damage they have done to the UK university system.
Same way, Nigel Farage, former UK Independence Party (UKIP), blamed the UK government for forcing their medical personnel to migrate abroad and poaching such services from poor African nations.
The UK migration policies under the Conservatives have flip-flopped over the years. Their inconsistencies affect long-term planning.
I pray they lose their next elections.
Please, if you have the funds, do not waste it in the UK. Many immigrants are looking towards United States and Australia. New Zealand is not bad. Also Germany, Northern Ireland, Finland and Sweden. I did not mention Canada as I feel those ones have reached a saturation point after selling immigration for years. Northern Ireland is still UK |

Lexusgs430: Have you checked the prerequisites, for spousal visa application.......
Were all items ticked off against the list........
I also hope the applicant is not an any blacklist........... No the applicant isn’t blacklisted as this is his first visa application to any country. The rejection reason was insufficient evidence to establish relationship prior to application. He ticked all boxes as no other rejection reason was given |

Lexusgs430: No mention of marriage certificate, no mention of evidence of financial support, no mention of chats between couples etc etc etc.......
If you were the visa officer, would you grant such application....... 😂🤣 Apologies, he included marriage certificate with pictures from the traditional, reception and court wedding. He also included chat history from when they were dating till after marriage, he also included the wife’s travel ticket when she visited Nigeria and pictures they both took. They have been married for 2 years now. They dated before she travelled but broke up and came back again. Wifey has been in Ireland for over 5 years but has been to Naija 3 times since they got married 2 years ago. He wants to appeal but doesn’t know what else to add or how he can make his appeal successful |

Hi guys, I know this is UK. please a close friend of mine was recently denied of his Irish spousal visa. The Visa Officer said he did not establish concrete evidence of relationship with his spouse in Ireland before applying for the visa. He put his marriage pictures and some outing pictures in the application yet was denied.
What can he do to help his appeal to be successful? |

Lexusgs430: Let's make you Zelensky for a day, considering the loss of lives, destruction and Putin's ultimate goal.......
What would be your middle ground....... Not forgetting if Putin wins in Ukraine, he would NOT stop at Ukraine....... This is the LIE and PROPANGANA the West keep pushing to fund the pockets of the military industrial complex at the expense of the blood of the Ukrainians. Between Putin and NATO, who has invaded more teritories and leave the inhabitants battling for survival. Libya comes to mind. The sooner Zelenskyy knows that he is being used to fight a proxy war for the west and their cronies who are hell bent on limiting Russia’s global influence ( US bombing of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline). In the words of speaker Mike Johnson, let’s give them the money after all its not US sons dying in the war, my son is graduating and joining the Navy and isn’t going to be on the front lines in Ukraine. Zelenskyy shouldn’t sacrifice his countrymen any longer. It is time for peace!!! |

Viruses: 1. Yes 2. £1,500 upwards depending on duration of stay 3. Minimum of 3 preferred 4. Yes...very important as she is a working 5. Tell us the reason for which she is coming, we can then tweak 6. 3 weeks
Note: as she is working class, the application will be considered on her merit, not your merit i.e even though you are the sponsor, she needs to show evidence of financial independence and ties to her home country. And as she will stay 6 months, her next visa application might be affected as her absence from work for 6 months during her previous visit might raise eye brows. But it's rare to get a visa once and be denied subsequently. The first one is always the difficult one. Thanks bros |

1. Can I apply to sponsor her fully? 2. If yes, what is the minimum savings I must have in my bank account? 3. How many months bank statements will I have to tender? 4. Does she has to provide her bank statement since I am sponsoring her? 5.what reason can I give as her reason for visit. I have kids 6. How long do I have to state she is going to stay? I actually want her to stay 6months |

dhummystecah: Hi everyone,
Thank you so much to everyone who offered advice in December! Your help was invaluable in getting my Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) from my line manager in mid-January.
Moving forward, I have some questions about proof of English for my Skilled Worker Visa application as a software developer. While I've requested a letter of English proficiency from my university, I'm concerned about the turnaround time. Additionally, I haven't been able to find any upcoming IELTS UKVI test dates near me.
With that in mind, I have two questions:
1. Can I use the IELTS UKVI Academic test to meet the English language requirement for my Skilled Worker Visa application? 2. Are there any alternative English language tests accepted for Skilled Worker Visa applications that might have shorter waiting times for appointments?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated! You can use IELTS UKVI Academic. as long as the IELTS has UKVI, it’s accepted . Alternatively, you can also use Pearson UKVI academic |

cbn4main: Bro, does one need another COS from their company to apply for a visa extension assuming their 3 years SW visa is about to expire? Yes you do. Your COS has a start and end date. At the end date, it becomes invalid. Hence you need a new COS to extend your stay or renew your visa |

Tier4Dependant: One can have multiple CoS, the other company doesn't need to cancel. You are right, no need to ask for cancellation as you can have more than one COS. When you get a visa with a COS, the other COS automatically becomes invalid. |

Joyglo: I have seen 3 dependents for student that came in September 2023 switched visa oh. What's happening? Is it that we misinterpreted UKVI or UKVI nor know wetin them dey talk/do A dependant visa has no restrictions, expect sportsperson, hence a dependant is free to switch or work anywhere. However, student MA cannot switch and must wait till end of studies to switch. Students can’t also become dependents if their partner switches while schooling |

jum33: Everybody passed through that phase ,infact it took me 2 months of getting to UK before i can get something reasonable to do and from that time till now ,it has been a roller coaster situation for all my job applications . You need to know that phase will soon pass and what need mostly now is getting information from your fellow naija and those information are golden and they transcend all this online jobs portal like indeed etc . This is the time to put more effort into socialising and engage more with fellow naija around you maybe tru place of worship etc they will give you sure u lead ,leave indeed alone for now , and ride on the tips and clues that u will give u for jobs . I wouldn’t say socialising with fellow Naija or going to religious houses is the gateway to getting jobs, although it has helped some to get settled quickly. I will advice the OP to tailor his CV to meet the requested skills and ensure he indicates his transferable skills in situations where he has no direct experience in a particular job. @OP If you have a good CV, you will get noticed. Use Chatgpt to write your CV. Do this and trust me you will get noticed. You can also use chatgpt to answer possible interview questions. It really helped me and it can help you as well. Aside Indeed, google contacts of recruitment agencies in your area and call them about your availability for jobs. You can start working menial jobs with an agency while waiting for the corporate job to click on indeed. I was doing cleaning jobs with an agency till my corporate job in an energy company clicked. It’s a phase, you will be fine. A lot of us passed through this phase. Best of luck bro |

makazona: Is that so? Many persons told me my standard licence cannot be used here. That it's either the international licence or the British Drivers Licence. This is strange Your Nigerian Licence even holds more value than your international licence. In some cases, you may be required to provide your Nigerian license even after providing your international licence. However, with your Nigerian license alone, you don’t have to provide an international license. But you can only drive for one year in the UK with your Nigerian or international licence |

OgbeniOptional: Wow, thanks for the enlightenment. In summary, this is not affecting HCAs in NHS and private hospitals as those have different occupational code. Thanks for this. I don’t think so. In the shortage occupation list there is no NHS carer category . Rather, what we have is care assistants and senior care assistant as a category. What I believe is that other occupations in the NHS not under the HCA or senior HCA category are exempted from the new rule |
