You can withdraw cash from all credit cards ........ An expensive way to use money......




Cash withdrawals would be registered on your credit report and you would appear as desperate to lenders (hence higher risk) + negatively impact your credit score .........

The most important question is, what is on your credit report + your credit score ...........

If i may ask, why are you seeking to withdraw cash from a CC. You do realize you can pay for most things with a CC just as normally as your debit card or is Cash the only accepted means of payment around you?

Anyways if you decide to go further in applying for a CC. You could consider Amex they are quite lax in giving recent migrants cards (depending on personal circumstance)

We've stumbled upon a curious case but perhaps not so curious to more knowledgeable mind here.

A friend is seeking to apply for an apprenticeship in the UK, however it carries the condition

we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding and for this you need to:
- Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years

Now, said friend has lived in the EU for quite a number of years and now been in the UK for about 24 months now. In total a 6 year continuous residence status across both the EEA and the UK.

Now the question is, is this transferable ? Do they meet this residency condition?

I have taken a look at the UK gov paper on student finance ( https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/639860a3d3bf7f3f7e76245d/Eligibility_rules_for_home_fee_status_and_student_finance_from_the_2021_to_2022_academic_year.pdf ) and it's silent on "Residents" rather using the term "citizens" for EEA folks

Wondering is anyone is able to interpret this better or has experience with such and give some guidance (in-between devouring the boxing day chicken)

One is unable to estimate how much this would be but could probably be about 300 for a single non-referral, non Specialist, no further testing appointment or north of a thousand quid.

Again this all depends on the condition and level of treatment required.

If not an emergency and extreme case, I'd try to manage grandma with what she's probably already used to. Or perhaps grandma is just missing Nigeria ?

American express allows you withdraw cash but you get charged a hefty fee...I think 3% or thereabout.

You may also be able to get around it by buying stuff and sell it thereafter e.g crypto, shares

For emergency treatment, A&E would be ideal........

You should start to panic, if she is admitted..... An NHS overnight bed alone is £600(without consultations, treatments and medications)........ NHS go tear you better bill...😂

Is this not against PayPal's terms of agreement? I'll advise the op to err on the side of caution.

Try to sort this loan from other sources, credit card cash advance should be your very last resort because it is not cheap and it has very dire consequences for your credit journey more importantly as you are just trying to find your footing. You don't want to start with such weight hanging around your neck.
