I can positively confirm that no dongle is working even the so called Microbox. I talked to many Chinese suppliers and they are telling me the same thing.It will start work next weekend. So please you people who are lying and cheating others that they are enjoying anything is just a HOAX. The best thing to do is either wait or pay the thieves and enjoy. Nice Monday People!!

OK, TRY THIS LOGIC B4 U UPDATE THE DOG, PLZ SET UR DATE/TIME BACK TO 10-20YRS BACK AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN ALSO RESTART UR SYSTEM B4 U TRY THAT STEP.

It is microbox that says the S/N is expired but when i clean that particular version 1.65 and put another version, it doesnt say so anymore but some people claim to be using this version. How possible is that?

Here comes another new day. the Ultimate search continues, i have a strong feeling that the solution is around the corner. i placed a call through to china last night, to a company claiming to have designed Microbox 4, i intentionally didn't call the avatar guys. I call their partners in research and i played ignorant of the dongles problem, the client service assistant that answered my call said the Microbox 4 (Dongle family) is on the verge of completion and that she is going to forward me a mail immediately work is completed on their end. i see it closer than imagined. Perhaps this is the time for the students to teach the teacher, i know alot of NLanders haven't really been sleeping in the last 6 days, As much as we stay glued to our PC's let's look inward and fundle with our dogs, they will surely bark soon! The countdown begins, !

This is what i observe with the microbox version 1.65, when i put it, the receiver says the serial number S/N is expired but when i clean it and put another update, i doesnt write serial number expired. What can i do cos this is the version people that use microbox claims they are using. Pls someone should help me out

Its micro2 dat is working and not micro1.There is no amount of software that will make micro1 work as far as i know. But micro1 can be upgraded to micro2 by changing a particular chip. bt now the chip is scarce. I CAN CONFIRM THAT MICROBOX II IS WORKING

Most laptops comes with only female serial, i.e the type that allows you connect external monitor. that is not the type you can use. the only solution is that of a desktop PC. All P4 or P3 Motherboard PC comes with Male serials( a set of pins like you have behind your Avatar-2). Your best reliable shot is not with a Laptop,  it is with a Desktop! So use a desktop PC. I myself have to quickly rush to a friend's Desktop this evening to get some updates  done on my dong! So go for a Desktop!

u can use laptop, its a matter of locating the port number from ur device manager.
goto device and locate port connection, right click and goto properties, from properties to advance--- from deir choose any port number u like to use. just like ABC.

Here is how to go about it,
[1] First connect your AV cable and proceed to check the system information under Settings, write down the file name e.g . S01-A6V4-USEY2-2011-07-19.Then proceed to restore the Avatar to Factory Settings.(Don't be alarmed the software will not leave your working Avatar) I have tried it before compiling this tips. After restoring to factory settings, switch off your working Avatar.
[2] Make sure your Working Avatar is Switched Off i.e no power connection, Connect the working avatar to the serial port of your desktop PC, select COM 1 as serial port, Under mode select dump, under section select All, Under file input the name of the file as stated in the system information e.g (S01-A6V4-USEY2)-2011-07-19, then select your desired destination you want the file to dump into, click Dump, then immediately connect your power adaptor i.e switch on. the file will dump on your PC, Once its complete you get the display mission completed. you can the spread the Goodnews to other Avatar-2.
