Planning to have my honeymoon in the U.S by january, getting married december. Is it OK to say am married now on my ds 160? Cos I would be married as at the time of my interview or do i just leave it as single? then explain to the v.o why my status is marked single? My application is almost ready for submission..
Please I will appreciate your sincere n quick response to this

Yes... Getting a passport request (online application) means your visa is approved.

Hello all I want to say a big thank you to all those that have contributed in one way or the other on this thread. I've applied twice previously for a trv and was refused both times. The last application before this third time was in Nov 2016. Anyway I decided to reapply again on the 19th of Sept and did bio on the 20th of Sept.. on the 24th of September I was asked for additional docs ( children's birth certificate ). I submitted this on the 27th of Sept. To God be the glory on the 5th of October I got passport request for myself,spouse and 2 kids.

Need help on my parent visit visa application. I submitted the app Aug 23 and they send a request letter yesterday that I need to send medical insurance to them within 30days for them to proceed with the application.
I was surprise as I think medical insurance is only for super visa and not visit visa.
Please is there anyone in the house that can help me out on how to get medical insurance they ask for?

If they are spending three months or more then medical insurance is needed, not negotiable. Try Aiico insurance (70% sure) but a lot more insurance companies around na. They just dont want them to be a liability to there government if any health related issue arises. In this case, the insurer will be responsible for the cost.

I would like to know if I can go to VFS tomorrow to get this completed or if there is an appointment to get this done. I am much familiar with the paper application which occur same day after submission of documents. I will appreciate any advise.

Sure u can.. No appointment is needed for that, just go with the print out of the mail received n two clear photocopies of the front page of ur passport. That's all u need, u have 30 days to do that but with my little knowledge I would advice The earlier the better.

@Epoh4 yes I did online n I applied 9th June but had little issue with my application cos before joining dis page I knew nothing about canadian visa application as everything is handled by an immigration lawyer based in Canada. So I didn't do my biometric until d end of August cos d bio receipt wasn't included in d application initially. So right now I don't know when my application will be ready based on d issue mentioned. I just hope the processing time doesn't start counting dis august cos that will mean am really on a long thing... That's my case oo my friend. Hopefully u will get response to ur application soon. Wish u d very best my friend

Almost all the embassies here plays tricks on Nigerians yet our government does nothing about it. The canadian embassies returned almost all my documents back to me without the visa. Reason being travel history, financial status and purpose of stay. I just laughed at them and now i can appeal agajnst them to any level if i see the means. For financial status i submitted my Gtbank statement of about 5m plus. For travel history. I just returned from uk this 2nd June , stayed for seven days. Been to Italy, Kenya, Ethoippia, Georgia, Qatar. My purpose of stay is vacation. Pls i need to appeal against this nonsense decosoon. I will not aplly at that embassy agsin via paper route. The fools there are hungry and wicked

I mailed the lagos office and they replied me yesterday that they are processing 28th may...but it seems to me that a number of may applicants here still haven't got a response yet..unless they hv but are all being silent.

May 28th? Wow... But how come a lot are yet to be responded too, those before the 28th? One thing I know is..they do their thing, same forum @mesh03 updated that his mum submitted May 5 and was approved 4th July n just yesterday another update came in from an application with same date May 5.... So I believe they know what they are doing. When u start to think about their process u are bound to go seriously depressed, so let's chill. It is well

Submitted paper application May 5th
Passports picked up today
2 years visa approved for all 3 of them

I applied May 9th for my mum and she did biometrics on the 19th. Got her visa on July 5th. You can send an email.

Please I want to know.. When does the processing time starts counting, d day u submitted or after biometric? Let's assume an application was submitted May n biometric wasn't done until July(cos d biometric fee wasn't paid until then). Please how does this affect an application? I am quite well travelled. Myself and my wife have been to the usa, uk, scotland. We applied for a canadian visa in february 2017, our application was turned down because my wife made a mistake on her application by not declaring that she had been turned down by the usa embassy some years ago.
We sought advise and was asked to reapply and state in a letter the error we made in the initial form. This reapplication was done middle May 2017. Till date we have not gotten a response. Is it a general problem of delay in issuing visas.
Am thinking of recalling the passport and cancelling the application sef. What do y'all think.

My advice is for u to wait a lil more.. U said middle of may n we've gotten responses from few of the may applicant, at least till 8th of May... So its your turn next, just pray n chill. It is well

I just tracked my TRV, I summited on May 4th, that my passport is ready for collection. My hearts beats faster, I don't know if I was given or not. I will going to vfs Lagos tomorrow.

Your application will be approved if you meet the requirements regardless of your itinerary. I applied for my mum in May to come for my graduation that was on the 22nd of June. Travel date was June 10th. Visa was approved July 5th. I don't think they work with our travel dates. Students get approval after resumption date has passed. So you might just need to change your travel date. Hope you didn't buy a ticket already?[/quote]
