What I know is that if a woman equates herself to me, she should as well do what I do apart from the biologically assigned role. I can't be the one making the money and the other person who practically depends on me still come and be lording over my house in the name of equality.

It's no news anymore that almost ALL teens and youths have adapted to shorthand for typing with mobile phones. To make matters worse, despite the invention of corrections on most smarts phones, we still prefer to use shorthand.

The annoying part of it is that, most of these shorthands have the same number of letters or even longer letters as the original words. Some use funky spellings instead.

Another thing I've noticed is that most of our youths and teens don't know when to use some certain words instead of the right ones cos they both sound alike. Example of these are:

''HAVE seen the books'' instead of '' I'VE seen the books''
''he has GIVING me the books'' instead of ''he has GIVEN me the books''
''BEEN a guy diesn't mean i can't have female close friends'' instead of ''BEING a guy diesn't mean i can't have female close friends''
''AM the owner of the car'' instead of ''I'M the owner of the car''
''ITS not mine'' instead of ''IT'S not mine''

The list is quite much

Some don't even know that no matter where the letter comes in a sentence, 'I' is ALWAYS in caps!!

To make matters worse, they don't even know they're wrong!

Most of our youths and teens can't even write with a laptop that doesn't have auto punctuation or correction. It's really that bad!

I'm the best in English language but I'm certain that I'm not bad either.

Yes English is not our mother tongue, buh tell me who'll accept a pidgin-written application letter?

It's never too late to turn a new leaf.

give yourself this task today: Type ALL your words in full and tell me how easy it was or how difficult. By doing this, you'll know how much in tune you still are with your spellins and punctuations.

I know I made some errors even while writing this cos I'm also prone to errors, but what's most important is the message.

OP, you have done a good job by highlighting some of these problems, but I'm afraid, you are also guilty of what you preach against.

What is your understanding of equality according to the OP? Women may be the weaker sex when it comes to exerting physical strength but they are certainly stronger when it comes to conceiving, carrying and giving birth to babies. Can you carry babies for nine months?

Just look at how u are contradicting urself. Stronger, yet equal. My point is, if they are equal, shouldn't it be seen by all? Why the agitation for such equalisation then? To every single woman that contributes significantly for the upkeep of the family, there are more than 20 men single handedly responsible for that upkeep. Now, where then lies this equality? In over 95% of the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, the guys are responsible for the expenses, where is the equality in this case? This equality u are talking about, if it were possible to be implemented, it won't even favour them cos everybody will now be equally responsible, nothing like he is the man and as such he should pay for rent, pay for children school fees,buy her clothes etc. Equality is not just about giving the ladies undue advantage over men. They should as well contest with their male counterparts for any position, nothing like giving consideration to gender, let all present what he/she has upstairs to get good job placement, that is actual equality, not this variety of equality that favours one sex over the other. Why should there be consideration for the ladies when they can equally slug it out with the males?

Weaker sex? Really? They are weaker and they are equal at the same time? Just like saying 2 is less than 3 and they are still equal. If they are really equal, why the call for equalisation? I suspect what u mean is giving them undue advantage. The undue advantage of practically becoming their servants, body guards and all that. Guy, no be everybody be woman wrapper oh! These are the talks giving some of them confidence to the point of stabbing guys to death because u must just all them, in order to promote gender equality. If a woman is equal to a man, let her struggle it out with him on the same level playground.

I have a camry 05 (big 4 nothing) which I wanted to exchange for a tokubo rav4 08, u know what I mean. While my car was pegged at N700k, the rav4 was at 3.8m because dollar was high. Meanwhile, this rav4 was cleared sometimes in the last quarter of 2015, Which means it had been purchased months b4 the clearing date. An 03 model of my car (used also) at the same stand was being advertised for sale at 1.25m, still because of dollars. Considering what that scammer was saying, shouldn't the price of my own car reflect the current dollar rate to ease the effort in changing it as well since it is all about staying in business? If u must take advantage of the prevailing economic situation to make quick cash, which is not a bad idea in any business, at least it should be done with moderation. Nawao! They refused to sell at moderate profits, now let me see how they will make that armed robber profit. O God, let the Naira continue gaining more and more strength.
