mybestlove: CBN is only displaying incompetence. All these dollar injections we've been hearing and still no effect. Why not come up with new and better strategy. Billions of dollars injected into the forex and the rate remains where it is and, prices of commodities still go up. There is no administration that doesn't inject dollars into the economy just that this administration always announces such action owing to the dollar/naira crisis. The exchange of the hard currency is also being regulated due to its relative scarcity. How do you think the govt meets its internal financial obligations from dollar earnings through crude oil? Note the budget is in Naira not dollar. Suuch dollars are merely exchanged for the Naira, not free "injection". How do you think importers source for dollars? How were students paying for school fees abroad? |

The Naira traded at an average of N375 to a dollar in Abuja, Lagos, Kano and Port-Harcourt on Tuesday.
Actually, if this is at the parallel market, there is a little improvement. CBN, keep it up. Hopefully, at this rate and everything being equal, the Naira may trade around 300/$ before the end of the last quarter. Long live The Fed Rep of Nigeria. |

vagabondMynd44: what's your landmass if I may ask.. can the East contain the entire igbo race when they are sent packing from over 30 states in Nigeria.
Or you think igbos will keep living and working on other people's lands? You lots better think well. I have nothing against igbos but I'll support their exit from my region so I can have space. It's the normal and sane thing to do. Nooooo! They are thinking of remaining in other parts of Nigeria after they are finally kicked out. I swear, I really want to witness the event. |
