I usually call before I move, but they still cancel at times. I was at Sabo (e centre) and a request came in. She was at Yaba. Called her immediately and told her I would experience traffic. She said I should still come, that she will wait for me. She said all the drivers she had been requesting, rejected. Immediately I got to Yaba bus stop, almost to her location, she cancelled it. I called her to tell her and she said she's not going again, that she's sorry. This happened not once or twice. There should be a way of charging riders for this and remitting to drivers

Things I mentioned as fraud are what drivers use in beating the system.
Do you always get to the PU before clicking rider did not show?
Not picking requests is not fraud.

Main fact is let he who chooses his poison enjoy it.

Those guys do not care about us here. I spoke with someone who drives Uber part time in the UK, the charged waiting time starts after 2 mins of arriving the PU then the app will automatically end the request and charge the rider if the rider doesn't show after 6 mins.
But here in Nigeria, they allow drivers to face trash from riders. Drivers do not get robbed of their cash since its card payments all through. You are verified before registering on the app as a rider. So what is stopping them from applying that here.

Can't be thinking of bonuses and also thinking of acceptance, cancellation or completion rates.

Least I forget, the acceptance rate for the owner of that uber dashboard is 11%. Meaning he doesn't have a gun to his head to accept most trips to earn bonuses.

Most bolt drivers earn their bonuses fraudulently

About the festive season, 3% commission after 15 trips is the eldorado. Uber and Bolt no be mates.

After more than 5 minutes the trip is not cancled and at times I cancle the trip myself useing not save to pick option and at time I drive to the PU to spend another 5min to cancel... Pls this job no easy atall ooo.

Nobody has given you a clearer information on what you need to know regarding this.

Declining a request is an odd against you so you know.

Getting a request while on a trip is normal unless you have closed for the day and don't want to take on any more trips.

You got that request because you were already close to the end of your present trip. You can't have 25 minutes left to get to the rider's destination and still get a trip request.

So next time, just accept the request. If the riders (new) calls you, tell him/her/them that you are on a trip and will soon end it.

Most times, taking the rider already in your car to their destination gets you closer to where the new rider is.

So, it's to your advantage as you don't have to wait at all to get another request. Even if the new request says they can't wait, let them cancel and not you that way, it will not affect your activity score.
