This is the type of scanner I got, but I can't find it on jumia at the N1,500 price anymore

Maybe I got lucky with the seller slashing his price about a month ago

It only worked with an android device

can you give me the link on jumia abeg.
VaselineCrew:
I almost spit out my coke reading this, lol.

Men, I’m just thinking, I need my car to be up to spec, like spec bro!

Like, you know how airplane maintenance standards are abi? I’m sure you wouldn’t want to fly in a plane that has been maintained in the hanger with tokunbo or fairly used parts.

I’d like my car to be that way, although for most small testable things I don’t even look at new parts.

Like for my check engine light I bought a scanner for 1,500 from jumia, instead of paying a mechanic 5,000 to scan the car. The scanner told me the bank 2 heater sensor circuit was faulty. Took out the oxygen sensor and ran a resistance test, then I figured I could go used since I could simply run a resistance test on the used part. Problem solved!

However for something like a compressor, it’s hit or miss going tokunbo, it’s not like you can see through to the internals, or see leak spots when buying. Same with a motor mount, you might get a used one with the rubber still looking intact, but the rubber might already be degraded. Then one would be wondering why the problem is still there.

At the end of the day sha, I must admit, it all depends on the availability of funds. If I had extra extra funds right now, I’d buy a brand new compressor and motor mounts and know that I wouldn’t have to worry about those for another 10 years.

If you’re going to survive in this your hustle , you need to sharply trade that car for a 1.8ltr vehicle. Talk to car dealership, they will give you an offer.

Disregard this advice if you’re just driving for fun tho.

not only in ibadan my brother, na normal reasoning, with a 4h ride and expect me to on AC.
There was a time I accept a request, got to their pickup, met 4 female adult with a child, had no choice I picked them despite using a solara o, got to their destination, voila, was 4h.
I felt cold.
northbird:
Maybe he operates in Ibadan. Most bolt guys in IB won't put on Ac in Ibadan. The fares r low too.

I tried it the very first day I started this bolt.
I took nothing home, every money I made was used to purchase fuel.
deedee44:
One day try and use AC, you'll be surprised that the difference in fuel consumption is not worth suffering for

Nah wasn’t rolled back, I verified it actually.
Even without checking the vin, open the bonnet n see through all the wiring n all, still has its Toyota solara tag, you would know everything is intact, once I start the car, you would have to double check if truly you’ve started the car cos you would hear nothing concerning sound, like it has happened to me for some time now, might want to start the car n I will still be holding the key on thinking it hasn’t come up, whereas it is.
Felicity001:

Mhm would keep that in mind sir.
Thanks
Felicity001:
Baba sell it and count your losses especially now that the car is still in good shape. Bubu will still be around till 2023 o so you never can tell how long you would be in the hustle. If not for the 2doors I'm very sure you would have relocated to a city to improve your earnings.

Swallow this bitter now and do the right thing b4 things fall apart.

That car does 18 miles per gallon compared to a Corolla that can give you about 26

Very soon, all the petrol stations would know you in Osun. They would have a special meter for you.

The females would be your friends, and the guys would be your buddies.

Na dem you go dey work for. Let me not even talk about how different Jerry cans would be in your trunk

You are definitely using the wrong tool for the job, sir
