Immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that some of the delegates, who voted at the special convention of the APC were now regretting their decisions.

Amaechi, who also is a former governor of Rivers State, further pleaded with clerics to pray for the ordinary Nigerians to enable them elect a president that would solve the problems of country.

He spoke in Port Harcourt, weekend, at the 60th birthday celebration of Apostle Eugene Ogu, General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission.

Amaechi said some of the voters at the convention took money and made their decisions, adding that they were now regretting their decisions.

Amaechi said: “Those who voted at the APC primaries, who are they? They are ordinary Nigerians. The small money they got solved their immediate problem, now they are saying they made a mistake, you are now hearing different things.

"If you are praying for us, pray for the leadership of the country, but also pray for ordinary Nigerians to be able to choose the right president to govern the country.

"Those Bishops you saw (at the unveiling of Shettima) may not be Bishops but they are Christians. Pray for the ordinary Nigerians. Please vote for APC, I am not joking. May God make you vote for the right candidate that will change Nigeria.

“Giving money is not the solution to Nigeria’s problem. The solution to Nigeria’s problem is that all of you must all rise.

"When I was giving contracts and money, they said Amaechi is not a good man and I left office now, what am I? A saint. When you marry two wives, you know that the first one is better.

“People are now saying when Amaechi was here insecurity was not like this bad. Remember, I was always in the bushes chasing those criminals. When you kidnap, I will come and look for you. I will call the security heads, we go into the bush together and we must recover the man. Now kidnapping is natural, as you are you expect to be kidnapped. Nobody cares.”

In saner climes as well, Peter Obi Pandora should be in jail for stealing Anambra state funds and using his underage daughter’s name to lauder the stolen funds into tax haven as revealed by the Pandora papers.

We saw how he used converted state resources to fund his private business such as NEXT and Sabmiller. He turned around to call it investment and today, the so called investment is a little better than tissue paper.

Even the N250million cash that was found in his convoy while he was taking it to his Lagos home is enough to jail him forever. Such a rogue is not fit to rule Nigeria. So spear is the sermon, Obi is as corrupt as the rest of them.

Civil servants generally are always at loggerhead with party in power. So the guy's view is myopic.
I personally spent extra 3 years in school courtesy the then state govt which was PDP.
Doctors in Anambra were on strike for 13 months when Peter Obi was the governor.

Yoruba Muslims una weldon. Continue to support a failed party with their drugie candidate simply because he is of the same religion with yours. Know this and know peace...anybody who is not supporting Peter Obi in this election is a great enemy of Nigeria and deserve the highest insult. No apology

I’ve come to terms with my observations about supporters of the presidential flag bearers of APC,PDP and LP.

The supporters of APC/Tinubu are mostly those that rely on government patronage, the existing corrupt system, brief-case/portfolio contractors and businessmen who have no viable means of livelihood or ability to create wealth outside of government. They depend solely on government to live.

The supporters of PDP/Atiku are mainly those who did not benefit from APC’s maladminstration, with hope that Atiku’s presidency will somehow allow them make money from the treasury, they are so used to free money from their days in government that the last 7 years have so impoverished them and they can’t wait to take over.
They have almost same Idiology as the APC except that one is in power and the other can’t wait to replace the one in power. Nothing dissimilar.

As for LP/Obidients, the supporters are mostly self- reliant people, whose only dream is to have a working government. They believe Nigeria has great and enormous potentials and can work again. They want a new beginning for Nigeria; a change from the endemic corruption that has been the bane of Nigeria’s development. They want a RESET. They want Nigeria to be productive by industrialization. They want a shift from consumption to production. They want to get the ports working efficiently and effectively. They want to tackle insecurity by creating jobs through industrializing the economy. They want every child of school age to be in school because they understand that an educated populace Is a productive populace.

I belong to the last group. Nigeria must work again.
