Although this not an impossible feat - the Naira can be rebased, restructured and made equal to the Dollar, just as Ghana did, the truth is Gen. Buhari never said those words. His actual statement was just quoted out of context to achieve some sinister objective.

If he was talking about redemonitation, there wouldn't be a cause to complain as it doesn't cost a dime to excute rather he was specifically referring to value of wages, cost of living in relation to labour.

I don't even blame him because it is not his field and paraventure he wins, he will still assemble competent economists to do the job but he goofed.

Soludo was talking of changing figures while Buhari is talking of monetary value.

To explain further, it means a job which earns you $40 in US should earn you N40 in Nigeria with same purchasing power.

It also means your house-help can be paid $70 per hour if she desires to collect it in hard currency.

The same way Gov. Amaechi receives accolades (be it condemnation or commendation) from running his mouth should be extending to Gov. Fayose but alas the hypocrisy and blindness by political persuasions have deeply eaten both APC and PDP supporters very deep.

Are Gov. Amaechi and Gov. Fayose bored housewives that make gossips and busybody a complementary chores?

Nigeria as OPEC member has a quota and as we speak, we are not producing less. We even have less buyers and most of our vessels stay for days before sales until/unless we grant discount.

Stopping Oil theft which Bihari can't completely eliminate notwithstanding is not a license to maneuver 2.6billion barrels per day OPEC quota.
